Feb 12, 2010This morning, I had to print off some pictures from my digital camera for my art class, so I stuck my memory card (1 GB) into the slot, and it worked just fine. The other day, I plugged my LG Lotus into my MBP via USB and it also worked normally. Tonight, I tried to connect my phone once again, and it didn't mount. So, I tried the memory card in an adapter and it didn't mount either! My MBP isn't old at all (got it at the end of November '09)!

Dec 8, 2014An SD memory card 32GB that used work well, when inserted into the MacBook Pro reader slot is no longer being recognized by the computer at all:
it is not visible in Finder or Image Capture or iPhoto, now nothing/nada/zip…
I am away from home, travelling - not anywhere near an Apple store/Apple Genius or even my old external card reader or a camera wire - so can not try these either!
Have a MacBook Pro, 2 years old, running OS X 10.8.5...

May 4, 2009that doesn't cause sleep issues? I just bought a Startech 12-in-1 because it said it was mac compatible and couldn't find any reports of interfering with sleep, and yet on my 2009 MBP it does the apparently usual trick of starting to sleep then blipping the super drive and waking up again asking for a password. Are there cards out there that work flawlessly, or is it just a problem with the expresscard slot as a whole?

May 6, 2009For some reason it seems that my macbook pro isn't reading the SDHC card in my multi (10-in-1) stratitec USB2CR8 reader. I can't seem to find info on whether or not it is the reader and it can't read SDHC or the 4GB card size, or if the issue is with my computer. Anybody got any ideas, and if necessary I'll go and buy a new memory card reader if that is the issue.

The camera that I use the card in can still read it, and all my files are (were) still there, so I'm inclined to believe that the problem is with the computer. I'm completely clueless when it comes to using Macs though, just recently made the switch over. Would anybody be so kind as to give me a hand here? I've tried reformatting the card in my camera, but that didn't change anything.

Jul 21, 2009I have a year old MacBook Pro with an Nvidea GeForce 8600M GT card.
I recently bought Unity but it turns out the Nvidea GeForce 8600M GT graphics card isn't fully supported because of a memory leak which is a problem with the drivers.
Unity Support have told me to update my drivers. I understood Mac drivers were always built in to the OS and no drivers were available from Nvidea but I see they now have one Mac driver for another card.
What is the actual state of affairs with this graphics card does anyone know? There have been a lot of reports of faulty ones and now this.
This is a just about year old top of the range MacBook Pro and it doesn't support graphics??

Apr 15, 2012I have a new imac with an SD slot on the side. When I plug the SD card into the side it imports to iphoto automatically but I am having trouble reversing the process. I have opened iphoto and the SD card in finder, drug the pics from iphoto to the card, they show up in finder as jpegs but when I unmount the card and then plug it back in iphoto says that there are no valid files on the card. The pics are there in finder but cant be opened by iphoto. My camera (Canon Rebel T2i) also does not recognize that there are any pics on the card. I need to be able to send pics back to my spare SD card for printing purposes.

Jan 21, 2011I used to just plug my iPhone 4 (ver. 4.2.1) into my iMac and iTunes (I think) opened with a window showing pictures that were on my iPhone or somehow asked if I wanted to download (upload/import??) the pictures/movies to my iMac. I do not do this often, so I may well be forgetting something in the process. When I plug the iPhone in to the iMac, the first message that pos up is "no camera connected." Then iTunes opens and show my iPhone on left. I cannot find the pictures that I just took on the iPhone though.
