Mar 26, 2012I've had this email account with AT&T for a few years and it has worked with Mac Mail with no difficulty for a few years. Recently the account has been able to receive messages. Every time I hit Get Mail it asks for a password. I have installed all the latest updates through Software Update. I have a Mac Mini with OS Lion. After struggling for awhile, my inbox eventually comes in. I have reset all the incoming and outgoing POP Server accounts, as well as used the Web-mail version through [URL] and it all works fine.

Dec 5, 2014I have bought MBA last month only. I could see the battery back up will be for 13 hours if I charge completely. Few days back I have updated OS to 10.10.1. Battery back up has been fallen down to just 3 hours after complete charging. I will either use safari to browse or see some videos. I have checked the condition of the Battery. Its showing Normal. No apps are using significant energy as well. Also it significantly increases the heat which I have never seen while using Mavericks. What should I do to get back my 13 hours battery back up.

Dec 7, 2014Upgraded my iMac (2010) from Mavericks to Yosemite yesterday. Since when, anything I try to print to my Kodak printer grinds to a halt after there first few seconds of starting to print. The printer will print fine from another laptop. It will print test pages and direct photocopies all without a problem. Doesn't matter whether am connected via wireless or USB, the same thing happens. Am thinking I should possibly try to 'downgrade' back to Mavericks - if that is possible.

I have more than one email account set up on Mail and the strangest thing happens and I can't find out how to stop it.
Here is the problem:
- I have 2 accounts, 'Account A' is for my partner & 'Account B' is for me.
- Someone sends an email to 'Account A' (my partner) and CCs 'Account B' (me) into the same eMail.
- If I click reply from 'Account B' it sends the eMail from 'Account A' which is my partner, when it should be from me.
I have worked out that this is because 'Account A' was originally sent the eMail in The 'To' field as opposed to the 'CC' field in composing the reply eMail. I know that I can manually change the 'From' field every time when replying to an eMail but it becomes an nuisance. I forget to do it when quickly replying as I consider Mail to reply from the account that I'm reading the email from.
I have gone to the compose section in the preferences and there is an option for changing this when composing a new email but nothing when replying.

Aug 26, 2010I just went to the Apple store, and my friend (actually she is older than I am, like 15 years in difference. Just got friendly, so I call her 'friend') suggested me 100$ for 4GB upgrade. She told me that it's not possible to upgrade the RAM after the payment, but she is able to do it for me.
I'm always paranoid wether the Apple employees will give me the 'older' RAMs or 'used' ones. Should I be? or just trust the employee who will swap it for me.
If I have a choice, I would like to install the new RAM for myself.

Before, I had a Macbook Pro 15" ( Old version, 2008 Penryn Version ), and I currently have 6 GBs of RAM inside ( the max, 4 GB + 2 GB ) I also have another spare 2 GB chip and 2 1GB chips for my old Macbook Pro. Would these RAM chips work for my new one, or would I have to buy new RAM?
