i bought a key for this cool tool. after i tried to register the app i get this error message:
it says server problems etc... but i tried a lot times and it just does not work...
When you purchase Applecare, do you have to register it in order to activate it? I bought it for my old PowerMac but never registered or even used it. So a few years later my mac took a dump and the Applecare time has expired. Or has it? Since I paid for it but didn't register it, did it start when I bought it?
I don't want to sound like someone that's trying to get over on Apple, but in the entire time I owned the PowerMac & the Applecare, I never got anything from them in the mail showing that it was active, even though I bought and paid for it when I bought the computer.
This question will probably make me look like a total noob. But I can't find info on the Apple website. I've purchased Apple Care from a third party seller. Now I got the code emailed, without instructions. How do I activate this protection plan?

It's been a few hours and while I first thought it might just be slow, a quick twitter search reveals that many other people are having the same issue. View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently have been working on a PowerMac G5 which came with Tiger and 5.5GB of DDR2 SDRAM, but come accross a strange issue which I've read a few people with PowerMac G5 have. At first only 2.5GB of RAM would ever register, but now I can only get 3GB to show. I've cleared the NVRAM and PRAM to no avail, upgraded to 10.5.8 with all updates with no luck. I tried swapping the modules about and found that sticks only register with an identical stick in the same numbered slot on the other group. This is really confusing me, and I'm certain the sticks work, but I can't grasp what's going on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe font situation on Mac, and especially in select applications such as Safari, is laughable. Can anyone over age 50 actually read what is written on the tabs?? Is there any way to register a complaint about this at Apple so that someone might actually read it? This is especially frustrating coming from Windows and a set of apps where fonts are much better dealt with at the system level.And the Universal Access options are very poor substitutes for well designed system level font options, and reducing the resolution on my $1000 monitor to really low is stupid, and zoom with the track pad or Cmd+ doesn't zoom the menu bar, and specifying minimum font size doesn't effect the menu and tabs, etc.Â

If you cancel you may not be able to buy music until this billing issue has been resolved" keeps showing up no matter how many times I re-enter the information. What can I do? If I rest my hands too heavily on the areas next to the trackpad (indeed, even if lightly sometimes) the trackpad will register a click. It's pretty annoying since it causes things to jump around, or text to get jacked up if I'm typing in a box when this is happening. I can reproduce this easily and know it's not my finger brushing the pad. It seems to be exclusive to the right side of the track pad only.

I reset the device, and I also restarted my computer.
I am a web designer, I got my first mac a few months ago and its a lot easier to get my work done now! I register my domain names via Godaddy.com and things have been fine until a few weeks ago, I started work on 2 new websites at 10am this morning, it is now 16:04 and I still have not managed to register the domains! The godaddy website keeps timing out, it works fine on my partners windows laptop, but it times out nearly every time on my Mac Mini, this is both on Firefox and safari.
Normally if I restart my mac and it will let me register the domains after a few refreshing of the pages. Or sometimes when it keeps timing out in firefox I try in safari and it works for a bit. But today neither of them are working, I got right to the payment page and it wont let me go any further, it just keeps timing out on me. I have cleared my cache a few times and that hasn't made a difference.
this is pretty annoying, but would it be a manufacturer defect? i have to forcefully press the button in order for it to register. anything i can do?

I was given an error message that any data may have been lost since it was not safely removed. However, the problem is whenever I plug the firewire device back in doesn't register at all.
