MacBook :: Unable To Register Firefox And Safari / When Trying To Click On Link On Webpage
May 21, 2009I'm having issues when trying to click on a link on a webpage or pop up. Firefox and Safari are not registering when I click on a link or button. I've only been using a Mac for only about 5 days now so I don't know all the settings and what they do.
Also this was working two days ago. If there something I disabled or enabled, how can I fix it or re-trace my steps. I need this to download PSD's for my artwork.

Jul 2, 2010I need install windows 7 on my mac (for some windows only programs). I would like to create a partition via bootcamp to run Windows 7 on my mac. I would also like to use that same partition on Parallels 5.
I am looking for a way to LINK the bootcamp partition to Parallels 5 so I can use Windows 7 on parallels when I am need of "light" programs and just boot to Windows 7 when I need more intensive programs. I have NOT installed windows 7 via Bootcamp or Parallels yet.

Nov 24, 2009I've had my 13" unibody Macbook Pro for a few months now and I've loved it, until now. The delete key on my keyboard has almost completely broken. It doesn't pop like the other keys. It's muddy and now unresponsive, working only 1 out of 3 hits. Additionally, my track pad doesn't register every click now. It works at about the same rate, 1 out of 3 or so. Should I take it in to an Apple Store? The nearest one to me is about an hour and a half away.

Dec 9, 2014I need to take part in regular webinars using Adobe Connect for work. I had no trouble participating on my brand new Macbook Air until I (stupidly) allowed by battery to go flat mid-meeting. When I powered my Mac up and re-entered the online meeting room, Adobe Connect no longer recognized my built-in iSight camera. I now get an error message stating that no camera is detected whenever I try to connect my iSight.Â
I have established that the problem is application specific. My camera works fine with other programs such as Photobooth and Skype. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Adobe Connect software has not resolved the problem.Â
The problem does not appear to be user specific. My iSight camera does not appear in the USB device tree in System Information, even when I log in as a different user.Â
Resetting SMC has had no affect.Â

MacBook Pro :: Spill Sticky Drink On Trackpad - Not Register Movements
Jan 10, 2010I've just, rather stupidly, spill a sticky drink on my mid-2009 macbook pro. I've managed to dry some of it off and wipe it down but it is still sticky. Nothing went on the keyboard thankfully, but it all went on the trackpad. Now my trackpad feels all sticky and won't register any movement of my fingers. When it does, it only moves a couple of millimeters on the screen and stops again Also, wherever I click, it only registers the right click. Luckily I managed to attach a bluetooth mouse and use that to switch it off. Also, the mouse seemed to jitter and wander when I am not touching to trackpad. Another thing I noticed is that the performance dropped rapidly when I spill the drink.

Sep 7, 2009I've noticed that when I try clicking on the trackpad's button, most of the time it will register the press and other times it doesn't. The button, physically, doesn't feel any different whether it registers the click or not. The button "clicks" down like normal and doesn't feel loose. Also, when I click and hold on the button and try to move my finger around the trackpad to highlight text or drag a folder, most of the time, the computer acts like I let go of the button and pressed it down again multiple times. While it does this, my finger remains on the trackpad button without being lifted. I recently upgraded my Mac to Snow Leopard but the problem occurred even with Leopard installed. I'm unsure as to whether or not this is a software or hardware issue. Could it be that there's something lodged under the trackpad button to cause this? If so, how would I be able to check under the button?

May 4, 2012I recently have been working on a PowerMac G5 which came with Tiger and 5.5GB of DDR2 SDRAM, but come accross a strange issue which I've read a few people with PowerMac G5 have. At first only 2.5GB of RAM would ever register, but now I can only get 3GB to show. I've cleared the NVRAM and PRAM to no avail, upgraded to 10.5.8 with all updates with no luck. I tried swapping the modules about and found that sticks only register with an identical stick in the same numbered slot on the other group. This is really confusing me, and I'm certain the sticks work, but I can't grasp what's going on.

Feb 3, 2009I just registered iLife 09 on the Apple site, however, what is the point? I can see the point of tethering software with a serial number to Apple, but how do Apple know I actually bought iLife when I registered it? Surely someone could just look on the box and find the part number which obviously isn't unique and register it that way?
