I have the correct password obviously because I'm logged in here. Haven't changed a thing recently but it stopped working. I have tried rebooting, using multiple WiFi networks, and various other things.

I can use my iMessages on my iPhone but it not work on my Mac

It was not possible to connect to iMessages.
An error occurred during activation. Try again
i now the password is right i try again a lot
my network work fine but the iMessage not work
Why can't I login to iMessages from my Mac? It just started all of a sudden, all my iMessage conv's are offline. I tried but get an error message that states "Your Apple ID "xxxxxxxx" can't be used to set up iMessage at this time" and then a customer code to contact apple.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a brand new mac book pro laptop (10.9.4) and have been trying for weeks to get my iMessages to work on it. Things I've tried:
old mac:
1. I've completely removed my icloud account on my old laptop. with a reboot.
New mac:
1. Completely removed iMessages on my new laptop with a reboot (a few times, and tried to reset everything in sync with my iPhone)
2. Signed in and out of the iCloud. removed my iCloud account and reset it up again.
3. signed in/out of my iMessages account (whilst rebooting and also tried doing that while my phone was off)
Iphone:
1. Signed off, signed on my iPhone.
2. logged out in airplane mode, then logged back on and re-added my iMessage account on my iPhone.

A few weeks ago iMessage on my Mac started doing an annoying thing where all my outgoing iMessages are blank, but the incoming messages are fine. So I can't see my side of any conversation. But I can see both sides properly on iOS (iPhone and iPad). So if someone starts messaging me when I am on my laptop, I have to have my phone turned on too so I can follow the conversation properly, as all of my replies are disappearing the instant I hit return to send them.

I made a new apple ID earlier, and linked iCloud to the new ID but our iMessages are still all linked to the old ID! So how do I change iMessages on my mac from the old ID to my new one?

You can delete the conversation from iMessages on the iMac, but when the person messages you again, the entire previous discussion populates.
I believe this acts differently on the iPad and the iPhone.

I don't often use iMessage on my Mac because of the syncing problems, but occasionally when I do use it, I receive a delayed iMessage, like really delayed. I just got one today that was sent 11 days ago! And it happened to be a rather time-sensitive message that I would've loved to respond to within, say, a day of when I got it. Why does this happen and can I fix it?

I downloaded Adium last night and everything worked fine. I tried to sign in this morning and is just keeps asking me for my password for both my MSN and AIM accounts. I have tried both passwords multiple times and they are both correct. I have no idea why it doesn't want to sign in.

I have looked under "About this Mac" and apparently I have version 10.6.8. Is there no version of imessages that is compatible with my existing version? And if I have to have version 10.7 does that mean I have to purchase Mac OS X Lion?

I can no longer install software or access preferences that require me to type in my name and password. Everything was working fine until today. My password still works during startup, but my screensaver does not accept the password.

I noticed that my Mini isn't accepting CDs, and when I look inside it appears that a thing piece of paper or cardboard is inserted in there (possibly stuck to the last CD I inserted, which of course didn't operate.) If I'm right, is this something I can fix myself by opening the case? If I decide I don't care because I almost never use CDs anyway, can I just leave it inside the Mini or will that cause some kind of problem over time?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had this macbook pro since Dec 27, 2008, and I decided to try my dvd drive to burn dvds for the first time today. I was using Toast 10 to burn my dvd, but it failed halfway through (SENSE KEY ERROR) and my drive wouldn't eject it! It was making funny noises inside the drive, so I decided to restart and presto! It popped out, turns out after that fiasco it stopped accepting any cds/dvd's I throw at it (It spins the disc 3 times then ejects it). I have tried resetting the PMU and Repairing disk permissions and both of them had no effect whatsoever.

Now, it will send emails happily, but it refuses to receive emails. The program I use is HttpMail Plugin Version Leopard 1.53 (by daniel parnell). Its worked up till this last update on software. View 24 Replies View RelatedOk so opened Directory Utility, unlocked it and then selected Enable Root User and set a password, locked Directory Utility opened terminal and typed sudo root.
When I entered the password I set I just get "Sorry, try again". Have tried going back into Directory Utility and changing the password but get the same thing.
App store wants to update my apps, but why am I paying for all free apps, and when I type in 2 of my credit cards it says invalid security code.

I have some contacts in my Address book that won't save any changes I make to them.
For example: Address book shows for a contact name. when I replace it with their real name and de-press the edit button, close out of the application and restart, none of my changes are saved.
I have just bought a macBook Pro running Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.0) and have attempted to connect to the internet via the AirPort to connect to my Wireless Router. I am already using the router/modem to connect my two other windows computers to the internet but when I try to connect using my MacBook it won't accept my password. I have tried all passwords used previously, but to no avail.
