I can send and receive iMessages on my iPhone with no problem. However, when I get on my Mac and open Messages, they do not appear.
Info:iPhone 4S, iOS 5
Suddenly the iMessage app is only displaying my own sent messages for a single, specific contact. All other conversations include both sent and received iMessages. I had blocked this contact previously for a period of time on my phone but do not remember doing anything similar on my Mac. if it's related to the contact previously having been blocked on my iPhone?

I installed the Messages Beta on my mac today tried sending iMessages, never worked whats worse is my iMessages on my iphone & ipad stopped working too! I can no longer send/receive iMessages!
Info:
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
I am getting this message when I try to open the "messages" on my macbook pro: "An internal Messages error occurred." It doesn't give me anymore information and tells me I have to quit the program and restart. I do so and still get the same response. I have updated to the latest version of Yosemite and restarted the computer. This is a new issue that just arose today when I turned on my computer. I have been using messages, including the new text forwarding feature flawlessly since Yosemite's release and even before that for iMessages with mavericks.

I just bought a brand new mac book pro laptop (10.9.4) and have been trying for weeks to get my iMessages to work on it. Things I've tried:
old mac:
1. I've completely removed my icloud account on my old laptop. with a reboot.
New mac:
1. Completely removed iMessages on my new laptop with a reboot (a few times, and tried to reset everything in sync with my iPhone)
2. Signed in and out of the iCloud. removed my iCloud account and reset it up again.
3. signed in/out of my iMessages account (whilst rebooting and also tried doing that while my phone was off)
Iphone:
1. Signed off, signed on my iPhone.
2. logged out in airplane mode, then logged back on and re-added my iMessage account on my iPhone.
Info:
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)
I have the correct password obviously because I'm logged in here. Haven't changed a thing recently but it stopped working. I have tried rebooting, using multiple WiFi networks, and various other things.
View 5 Replies View RelatedA few weeks ago iMessage on my Mac started doing an annoying thing where all my outgoing iMessages are blank, but the incoming messages are fine. So I can't see my side of any conversation. But I can see both sides properly on iOS (iPhone and iPad). So if someone starts messaging me when I am on my laptop, I have to have my phone turned on too so I can follow the conversation properly, as all of my replies are disappearing the instant I hit return to send them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedYou can delete the conversation from iMessages on the iMac, but when the person messages you again, the entire previous discussion populates.
I believe this acts differently on the iPad and the iPhone.

I don't often use iMessage on my Mac because of the syncing problems, but occasionally when I do use it, I receive a delayed iMessage, like really delayed. I just got one today that was sent 11 days ago! And it happened to be a rather time-sensitive message that I would've loved to respond to within, say, a day of when I got it. Why does this happen and can I fix it?

I have an iMac running Mavericks 10.9.3 and Outlook 2011 (Fully up to date) and sync services aren't working. I've enabled them within Outlook and tried resetting Sync Services in terminal using the following command:
"defaults delete com.apple.SyncServer SyncServicesResetWorldRunOnce"
Outlook is full of contacts and calendar entries and I would expect to see all of these within Calendar and Contacts on OS X (I haven't even had a prompt to merge with Calendar and Contacts) I'm trying to get this work so that I connect a Blackberry and sync using the Blackberry Desktop Manager.

I am getting the message "Your Apple ID "xxxx" can't be used to set up iMessage at this time. It was working fine and all of sudden it became inactive . It is working on my Ipad.

I made a new account because it wouldn't let me log in on my old account and now it seems as if it's working but it won't send or receive ANY messages. This application used to work so I don't understand.

I have been happily using Messages on my Mac, iPhone, and iPad for a while. Earlier this year, Messages on the Mac stopped being able to send, giving the following message:
I've tried to log out of the iMessage account, I've tried to reset accounts on the Mac, etc. All to no avail. Messages continue to work on both my iPhone and my iPad Mini (wifi only).
Mac OS X 10.9.3
I am running Safari 5.1.7 on a PC running Windows 7 and I am wondering if Safari "Top Sites" will keep those thumb nail pages stationary and obey the order I am trying to keep them. Also, having issue with the Website thumbnails are not populating.

I'm using a 2012 2.5 core i5 Mac Mini running Mac OS X 10.9.3
I recently started using Messages and for some reason, some options are grayed out and cannot be changed - starting from "buddy list" all the way to "when switching users" (see screenshot)
I must also add that I'm not using iCloud nor do I have an iPhone. I use this application on my Mac Mini only
I think I used to create messages in html, but since I've updated to Mavericks, I can't. Where can I change the settings back to html. I have set "smart text" but I don't know what it is.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2), also IMac with OS X (10.6.2)
there seems to be an issue with my mid-2010 MacBook Pro, running OS X Maverick 10.9.4. When in console, precisely every 5 seconds, this same message pops up:
07/09/2014 18:34:00.000 kernel[0]: SMC::smcReadKeyAction ERROR F1Mn kSMCBadArgumentError(0x89) fKeyHashTable=0x0xffffff801febf000
I did have a look at Launch Agents and Daemons folders to see if any file name related to that message, but I'm not sure.
I have started getting bounced email messages showing my main Apple ID email address is being used to send SPAM to people I don't know. Does this mean that I will have to change my main email address? If I mark them as Junk Mail, will that affect my mail?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt started occurring yesterday. I hear the notification sound but don't see the new messages in any of Mail folders. Sometimes my SpamSieve app shows a figure of messages of unknown nature, sometimes not, but nevertheless I hear the sound but don't get new messages. In Mail Preferences when moving the pointer over check-box with smith like "Enable the sound for other actions" (or whatever it sounds) a yellow commentary box briefly popped up which said that the chosen notification sound could alert about some other actions like sending a message, when neither message is received (?!!!), or there some error occurred during receiving or sort of. Is it possible to know specifically what messages couldn't make their way to my Mailbox (through Console app maybe?)?

I want to set up messages, but when I go to the prefs, the AppleID is wrong. So, I tried clicking on:
Manage Apple ID & it takes me to page in Spanish!!
I tried looking for the information via the question, How to change Apple ID in Messages, but found nothing.
Oddly, my Apple ID is correct for Support Communities, just not correct for Messages account.

Using certificates from ORC in Mavericks or iOS 7, I cannot read my sent messages. In previous versions of Mail, a copy was saved encrypted with my private key as well as the recipient's public, so that I could view and search older sent messages. After updating to some newer certificates, this feature seems to no longer work.
Recipients have no trouble reading the message, and as a workaround, I can BCC a copy to myself at a different account (which uses different S/MIME encryption and identity certificates from the sending account).
I have tried removing the older certificates and verifying the certificate preferences in the Keychain, all to no avail...

Previous to 5 months ago, I had never had any problems with my iMessages working between my iPhone 5s, Macbook Pro, and iPad Mini. Now, no matter war I do I can not get my messages to work with my iPad or Macbook anymore. On the Macbook Messages app it says that my contacts are not registered with iMessage which is just not true. At one point a few months ago it randomly started working and I got all my previous messages on my Mac but after that it went back to the same problem.

In Mavericks when I get mail from the same email address it groups it all under one option so I sometimes miss the mail. How can I get it so that each message is individual and not grouped into a folder under one email address?
