i have recently started to use Entourage, but when i try to access my Yahoo email it tells me that the username and password are incorrect. After double checking it problem continued. i used the [URL] for the pop server address and [URL] for the smtp address.

I just installed Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac. When I open Entourage, I cant receive and send email from my Yahoo account. I am not that familiar with the terms in setting the account.

Gmail's UI compared to Yahoo's UI looks like something that hasn't been finished or something. Yahoo's UI just looks more polished (am I the only one who likes yahoo better than gmail?) , anyways, the only advantage I found to Gmail was the free IMAP access (you have to pay for POP access on yahoo).
Searching around on the web for ways to have free POP access with yahoo mail, I found a software solution from a company called Zimbra . It's a mail application that lets you access your free yahoo account(s) from your desktop. You can also add other POP (or IMAP) enabled accounts (AOL, hotmail, Gmail, Outlook accounts, etc).
I just downloaded the application on my mac and I've been playing around with it. I was wondering if anyone has had positive or negative experiences with this application. Good enough to replace the other mail apps?
My problem: since Lion I'm really happy that I can use my Yahoo mail account in the official Mail app. It works also fine, but a fiew weeks ago suddenly mail stoped loading mails. I logd out in in the settings of Mail and reloged in but now I've the problem that Mail doesn't accept my datas...

Every now and again entourage does not send out an email, even though the email appears in 'sent items'. we know the mail has not been sent because it does not show in the microsoft exchange mail log, mail that has been genuinely sent does appear here. the server is exchange 2008 .

I tried to sync my Yahoo e-mail contacts to my MBP and it didn't work. So i did my contacts manually. Getting Alert from Yahoo stating "you are about to sync the following info with Yahoo .contacts. What would you like to do? #1 option Merge data on this computer{MBP} & Yahoo!#2 option Replace data on this computer! I went in my MBP hard drive and deleted sync entries for Yahoo about 3-4 times-they just keep appearing after I get the "ALERT" notification every few hours.Check my Yahoo acct and there is no Alert listed.This I know is a big PAIN.SUGGESTIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Seems like it happens more often when there are images embedded in the e-mail, like when someone has one in their signature, but I honestly can't tell what the rhyme or reason is for it.

I can send emails from google mail online fine, but my Mac Mail refuses to and I have installed Entourage 08 tonight, updated it and again it fails to send, I have reset my router, set everything to IMAP from POP, deleted and created new email accounts in each programme but STILL neither will send emails!

I think I posted this in the wrong place - community - as I am new to all this. However I am hoping someone can tell me how to get rid of old or inaccurate email addresses that come up in Entourage (Office 2004) when you begin to type in the first name of an addressee in a new email.
Sometimes you get things wrong, and the wretched thing never seems to go away! I don't know where the Entourage system gets it from, because I have attempted to delete the dud email addresses from all the obvious places.
I just got entourage for my IMac. I am trying to import my work email (microsoft exchange server). I inputted the information correctly, because all of my folders are now showing. But none of my mail is loading. I am guessing the size is to big? I emptied the cache, and that did nothing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not able to see images in emails, even after clicking 'Download Images'. I am using Entourage 2004 w/ OS X 10.5.8, on a PowerBook G4. I have installed the latest Office and Mac updates. I am able to see the images correctly when using my other Mac (PowerPC G5, OS X 10.5.8), which has Entourage 2008. I've also tested by using Outlook and OWA, which I am able to see the images in the email so I don't believe it is a GPO issue.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI use IMAP email so that all folders are based on a server, rather than on my computer (learnt the hard way when my computer crashed and I lost everything). Today when I went to save an email in a folder on entourage, entourage crashed and when I reloaded the app the folder had gone. I tried again with another email and another folder and the same thing happened. When I log on to my email account using the providers webmail service I can see that the folder is still there, it just won't show up in entourage.
