Jun 4, 2014Why can't I update my computer in the app store?
View 4 RepliesWhy can't I update my computer in the app store?
View 4 RepliesI tried to open iPages after upgrading to Mavericks. I was given a report that the current software could not be opened and to contact the developer. I have tried to download the new version from App Store. It won't do that since I have up to date software according to their record of purchase. I have now deleted and emptied the trash containing these old programs. Now I still can't download new versions.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to upgrade to Yosemite but every time I try to log in with my Apple ID, it says my account could not be verified. It does the same when I try to update my Kindle app but it still allows me to download the new software updates.

While app update download starts normaly the error msg pops up every time right at the end of download process and it starts all over (dnld-error-dnld-error... ("Try again", she asks me)).

My Softward Update and App Store repeatedly "crash unexpectedly" (along with Dashboard, Finder and a whole host of other applications).
I have tried everything but it seems there is no way I can use either of them.
As a result, I haven't been able to update anything for months and my OSX is now thoroughly screwed up.
Is there any way I can update OSX without using Softward Update or App Store? Is there an update file I can download without having to go through them?
I'd prefer not to resort to OSX Restore as I don't want have my Microsoft Office product key.

I have satellite Internet with low bandwidth limits meaning that updating software is nearly impossible without packing up my iMac and bringing it to a library or some other open WiFi spot. I brought my laptop to the library and updated it with the newest iPhoto, but I would like to update the copy I have on my iMac.

Mac App Store says that I didn't use my account to purchase FCPX, but I only have the one account. Now it won't let me update it.When I look at my purchased history, it lists all the apps I've bought, but it has an "Install" next to FCPX. However, it is installed. In fact I've been using it quite recently. However, when I click on the "Install" button, it gives me a message: We could not complete your purchase. Fincal Cut is already installed on this computer. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to check for available updated. When I do that, it says everything is up to date! How can I correct this? I'm on a MacBook Pro 2.3 i7 running 10.7.2.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can not update or install new apps. Some work though, some do not. For example I can update GarageBand and UberStrikeHD(2 random apps that I have an update available for) and I can not update LevelHelper and Trillian(also just 2 random apps I have an update available for).As for new apps ... Well, all that I tried they didn't download(ReadLater, CodeCollectorPro and RamOptimizer Lite, Apple Configurator are 4 of the apps I tried downloading). I get to enter my password, the app "goes" into the Launchpad, but the bar that should show the progress of the download gets filled instantly and the Appstore shows "Installed" instantly, while the Launchpad icon also shows the bar full instantly, but the app is obviously still greyed out since it didn't really download anything. Then after a few seconds I get an error:"The application could not be downloaded. The requested URL was not found on this server". Cancel or Retry, retrying doesn't work either.
I am using a broadband internet connection, but I tried it with several USB devices and I got the same result (also tried sharing the broadband connection from a macmini and connect to it through internet sharing, still didnt work)... And I do not have 10.7.3 installed, since it is a 2GB update and my broadband data plan is capped at 4GB, but I doubt it will fix anything, since in the past I got this error before, but I have no idea how it got fixed. I also tried every Apple provided support article.

The Mac App Store tells me there's an update available for one of my applications, however, the install button is disabled and indicates that the new version of the app is already installed. The version number of the app (About...) shows v120...., the update in the App Store shows v121, so there's something available, it seems. How can i either download the update, or get rid of the update indication in the App Store?

This morning I start up the Mac App Store and see there are 2 updates available. One for an application I know I have, the other for an application I do not have installed on my system. Clicking "Update All" spins and does nothing. It looks to be attempting to download the update for the application I do have. When I manually click on the application I do not, to see what is going on a App Store login comes up with the "Enter the Apple ID you've used to purchase this app." I have seen another post saying this is due to installing non authorized Mac App Store applications then how can i know which app is connected with this update? It has this update for this application, not installed, never was and will not either go away or process the real update. I have restarted, cleared out the cache. OS X 10.7.2

I'm running OS X 10.6 on mid 2010 MBP. Got bullseye notice to update a game app the other day, but update requires OS X 7 so I can't update. I've still got the irritating bullseye however. I deleted the app (didn't play it much anyway) but I've still got the notice.

The App Store tells me that there is an update for Amadeus Pro - and, sure enough, there is. But when I try to install the update, by clicking on the Update button, it doesn't begin downloading.I haven't moved the app or anything - it just won't download. Is there a manual way to update?

I have an older desktop Mac that I have Garageband on, amongst other software. It doesn't have any network access (no network plug nearby, no wifi hardware).I was thinking of updating Garageband so I can upload songs from my iphone version of Garageband to this offline Mac.Can I purchase the necessary upgrade from the Mac App Store via an online Mac, then transfer it to my offline Mac?And if so, can I install the upgrade without needing a network connection for verification or whatever?
