App Store :: Mac Update Indicated As Installed?

The Mac App Store tells me there's an update available for one of my applications, however, the install button is disabled and indicates that the new version of the app is already installed. The version number of the app (About...) shows v120...., the update in the App Store shows v121, so there's something available, it seems. How can i either download the update, or get rid of the update indication in the App Store?

The App Store is showing that an update to Facetime is available, but the update is v 1.0.2 and the installed version is newer; 1.1.1. When I click the update button I get a dialog that "FaceTime can't be installed on "Macintosh HD" becuase the version of Mac OS S is too new." The App Store continues to show this update is available, how do I get rid of it?

Im not sure why, but after i reinstalled lion, the app store says imovie is installed, but imovie is not installed garage band installed fine, and for iphoto i had to do system update, and it installed, but for some reason app store wont let me install imovie, cause it says it is installed but it isnt

I bought a used mac mini and I was viewng the App Store and wanted to purchase IPhoto app but it was purchase previously and could not update because not associated with my Apple ID. The error message reads I would need to purchase it again My issue I have it the icon for the application just give me a the options to "update" and not purchase. I have installed Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and ran Software Update, and now I want to upgrade to Lion. I can open App Store, log in, access my account, but when I try to purchase Lion I get a message "We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (4)". When I click OK, I get the message "Unknown Error." I really don't want to have to reinstall everything By the way, I also created a new Apple ID with a different email just to see and I get the same error.

I had to replace the hard drive in my MacBook Pro. I went to the App store with my clean install of Lion. However for a number of Apps I need it indicates that they are installed, though they aren't. I can't seem to figure out a way so it lets me redownload and install them on this computer. It's tremendously frustrating. The command click (right click) on the greyed out installed button does nothing. If you go to the app page you get the installed thing again.

I've been told that if you buy a new Mac it will show iLife '11 as installed in the Mac App Store so that you can then install the iLife '11 apps on your other macs without having to re-purchase iLife '11 on each computer. I have a 2010 MacBook Pro and a 2011 MacBook Pro and I've signed into the Mac App Store using the same account on each computer but the iLife '11 app still shows as being purchaseable from both computers. Any advice on how to get this to show as installed so that I can install it on my 2010 MBP without re-purchasing it?

Error "The file “DMAccount.h” couldn’t be saved in the folder “Headers”" after 10.7.3 update. While app update download starts normaly the error msg pops up every time right at the end of download process and it starts all over (dnld-error-dnld-error... ("Try again", she asks me)).

My Softward Update and App Store repeatedly "crash unexpectedly" (along with Dashboard, Finder and a whole host of other applications).
I have tried everything but it seems there is no way I can use either of them.
As a result, I haven't been able to update anything for months and my OSX is now thoroughly screwed up.
Is there any way I can update OSX without using Softward Update or App Store? Is there an update file I can download without having to go through them?
I'd prefer not to resort to OSX Restore as I don't want have my Microsoft Office product key.

Update could not be expanded, and may have been corrupted during downloading. Does anybody know how this can be fixed, since the error message appears every time I try the update. Other updates run smoothly.

I just got a new MacPro 2008 and had the Apple Store install the $50 card before i lugged it back home. I get home hook everything up and OSX doesn't see the AirPort card. I open up the computer and see the card physically there and it is. Is there something i need to do, to enable it so OSX can see it? Do the "Genius People" test everything before they give it to the consumer? Or am i missing something.

Lion is working perfectly and I'm having no issues. I launched the App Store app the other day and noticed under purchases that although Lion is listed as one of my purchases, the button to the right doesn't read "Installed" like my other purchases do. Instead the button says "Install". Lion already is.

I have a lot of apps that were already on my computer before the App Store came out (i.e. Evernote, iWork). However, the App Store never picks up that they're already installed. It would be great if the App store could see that type of thing. Does it? If so, how do I get it to scan for previously installed apps so that it knows what to look for when there are updates or upgrades?

In my Mac App Store it says that OS X Lion isn't installed even though I bought it with Lion. And the same thing with FaceTime. It show the other apps that I've installed as installed. Its only OS X Lion and FaceTime. How can I fix this?

I was shutting down my MBP and i noticed it started performing a software update. After that I powered it back up and tried looking for what update it had performed. I looked in the System Preferences/ Software Update/ Installed updates. Nothing listed in the updates. I fired up software updates and it found a bluetooth update. I figured i would install that and it should come up. I was wrong. Is there anywhere else in OSX 10.5.7 that i can see what updates have been installed.

Are you able to update one computer (iMac) and send to either another imac or laptop? E.g. Installed update 10.6.3 on my iMac, and I able to use that same update on my MBP without having to download it again? Like using the update file I downloaded and installed on my mac and sending (via say bluetooth) to laptop and installing?

The update could not be expanded, and may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs. I seem to get this every time Apple update Mac OS X. Eventually after many many tries it will work , but come on!

I've been successfully running Leopard on 2 different drives on the following computer
G-4 (digital audio) 733 {model before Quicksilver}
upgraded to 1.47 GHZ....processor. 1 gig of memory
Computer has been handling Leopard fine up to now. I was updating one of the drives to 10.5.3 when the screen activity locked up. After quite a long time and ceasing of drive crunching data....I did a hard restart. Since this time, the drive wont start up,. just the spooling rotor underneath the apple on the gray screen, which doesn't stop. There is no time-machine backup on this drive. I've used the Leopard install disc to run the disc utility and repair permissions but this is a case of an update, half installed. Of course, with Leopard, booting with the install disc does not show the drive, disc image on the desktop...so access for re-running the update isn't there.

I have just installed the latest securtiy update, clicked restart and normal shut down, start up ok, apple in middle of the screen and then the sun burst icon just spins and spins nothing further than that. have tried restarting several times but it always stops in the same place. I installed the software update on my MacBook and it never restarted. I have tried most easy fixes but nothing seemed to help. I pulled the drive and then tried to update the software back to Snowlepord but I thnk the install failed. I've seen others with the same problem but can't seem to figure this out.
