OS X Mavericks :: Apple ID Will Not Verify In App Store To Update
Dec 5, 2014
I've been trying to upgrade to Yosemite but every time I try to log in with my Apple ID, it says my account could not be verified. It does the same when I try to update my Kindle app but it still allows me to download the new software updates.
I just bought a MacBook Pro and for some reason there is an update available for angry birds. When i try to update it tells me i have to log on to an account that is not mine. Even crazier, I've never in my life saw that Apple ID before and i only logged on with my own ID on my brand new Mac. I know it's a small thing but it is annoying.
I have a macbook 2.4 alu (Late 2008) and Installed linux as soon as I got it.(I just like the cases). Anyway I know that you need to use apple update in osx to update the firmware. I can't dual boot because my HD is MBR. I thought of 2 ways.
A. Install OSX onto a usb device (Cost 30-40 bucks for usb) B. Take to apple store, Maybe they can do it.
I can't dual boot because my HD is MBR. I heard the new firmware updates stop a lot of issues.
I tried to open iPages after upgrading to Mavericks. I was given a report that the current software could not be opened and to contact the developer. I have tried to download the new version from App Store. It won't do that since I have up to date software according to their record of purchase. I have now deleted and emptied the trash containing these old programs. Now I still can't download new versions.
I have 3 update available, about motion, i cloud etc, but doesnt work when try to download it, i tryed also to trow out motion and tryed to purchase again (since i had already payed i suppose i am not going to be charged again) but mac app store see it as already installed alttough it is in thrash bin?
How can I update apps after changing my Apple ID password? I was just required to change my Apple ID password and now I am not able to download updates to apps I already have installed.
Recently a week ago updated my system from 10.8.3 to the Latest Maverick 10.9.4. I have a Mac-mini bought in 2013, When Maverick was loaded Apple Store showed up and I was able to download updates. Now, the store only shows the Icon A with the circle, pencil and brush and gray. Nothing else shows up. What to do?
Every time I try to update or use an app from the app store, it ask me to fill in my user pass. When I put it it tells me that it can't verify the user or computer.
There is a thread like this labelled "solved" here with my last 2 posts in it unanswered. But I still can't get this security update to verify. I tried to repair permissions using disk utility and - as far as I can tell it - does repair permissions, but it still doesn't verify. I've even tried downloading Google Chrome and Firefox browsers and they won't verify either.
I recently changed the primary email associated with my Apple ID and then reset all my devices to reflect this change by signing out and reauthenticating for iCloud and iTunes/App store. The problem is that no matter what I do, nothing seems to get my messages syncing from my mobile devices to my MBP. I've chekd to ensure the accounts are showing up and active on my iPhone and on my MBP based on the instructions and suggestions found. The most frustrating part is that the preferences in the Messages.app are greyed out along with the accounts so I cannot access them to configure.
My last ditch effort was deleting the plist files associated with Messages.app, but this also did not work.

I reside in Spain and I've recently opened a joint account with a US resident here in Los Angeles at Charles Schwab bank. The financial consultant told us it's possible to deposit checks into schwab account through an app for iphone [URL]I've tried to download but it appears the following window: "your application has not been able to complete" and "The article you requested is not available at this time in Spanish Store, but is available in the U.S. Store. Click Change Store to view this article". If I click to change the Store from the Spanish to the American store, I have to fill the data but my ID apple is not working on the "foreign" store. What can I do? Is there a way to buy / download items from a different Itunes stores?
All of a sudden a notification badge has appeared on the Apple Store icon on my MacBook Pro dock. While it seems there is an update for an app that I once downloaded, there is no indication as to how I can download the update.
I bought a used mac mini and I was viewng the App Store and wanted to purchase IPhoto app but it was purchase previously and could not update because not associated with my Apple ID. The error message reads I would need to purchase it again My issue I have it the icon for the application just give me a the options to "update" and not purchase. What do I need to do to purchase this app?
Error "The file “DMAccount.h” couldn’t be saved in the folder “Headers”" after 10.7.3 update. While app update download starts normaly the error msg pops up every time right at the end of download process and it starts all over (dnld-error-dnld-error... ("Try again", she asks me)).
My Softward Update and App Store repeatedly "crash unexpectedly" (along with Dashboard, Finder and a whole host of other applications).
I have tried everything but it seems there is no way I can use either of them.
As a result, I haven't been able to update anything for months and my OSX is now thoroughly screwed up.
Is there any way I can update OSX without using Softward Update or App Store? Is there an update file I can download without having to go through them?
I'd prefer not to resort to OSX Restore as I don't want have my Microsoft Office product key.

I just bought a $10 iTunes card and I want to by iMovie from the Mac App Store. (which brings my balance to $16.48) My problem is whenever I try to buy this product I'm sent to the billing page. I don't have a credit card so I select "none" and try to purchase iMovie again. But it just sends me back to the billing page. I don't want to buy another card in order to redeem something on the billing page so what do I do?

i just wanted to simply get the updated free Facebook App on my ipod, i dont have a credit card so it wont let me review my apple ID...is there anything else i can do?
How do I get Apple to return the paid version of a certain app back to the App store? The free limited version is still available but the paid version with more features has been removed. I know people who want to get this app and cannot. It is Word Play Online and has a very loyal following with over 50,000 names playing and yet is gone from the App Store. How can I find out where it went?
When I switched to ICloud I thought my Apple ID and password would work for Apple store. It turns out they have a different Apple ID at the Apple store with a diferent password that I do not remember. HOw can I make the ICloud Apple ID and password work for all other platforms?

So between today and yesterday I have just been doing some casual maintenance with my Mac Mini. I decided I would run the First Aid program in utilities just to make sure everything is doing well. I was just wondering what is the difference between the two options "Verify Disk" and Verify Disk Permissions"- what exactly do each of them do? It almost sounds self-explanatory but can someone shed some light for me?
I've ran all the verification tests on each hard drive I have and repaired them when needed. So far it has only been my external WD hard drive that needed to have a repair, though I didn't notice anything wrong with it prior to running the verification test. Basically, I'm just wondering what each of the functions do.
