Aperture :: How To Uninstall 3.0.3 Completely
How do I uninstall Aperture completely? I have several problems with Aperture and tried to un-install and then reinstall Aperture. The result is that I can't even start Aperture anymore. I get the message "Aperture quit unexpectedly" and a report is sent to Apple when I try to start Aperture. The installer said that my installation was successful, but I doubt. The un-install I did was to delete the application and the Aperture folder in Application Support. I can install Aperture on a computer where Aperture never has been and it works so I guess I haven't uninstalled completely. I never got the registration dialogue on the computer where I can't start Aperture and that makes think that my uninstall isn't complete. Information: iMac, MacBook, MacPro Mac OS X (10.6.4)

OS X :: How To Completely Uninstall Adobe TidySongs On Mac 10.5.8
I have Mac OS 10.5.8 running on a G4 tower (Power PC). I installed Adobe TidySongs for the Mac, but it didn't work correctly so I tried to uninstall it with App Delete. When I try install it again, the TidySongs installer says I already have the same version installed. Does anyone know what I need to look for to get rid of all remnants of previous install (including js file and where this would be located). Do I also need to uninstall Adobe Air installer (which would affect Adobe Media Player as well)?

MacBook Pro :: How To Completely Uninstall Airport Driver
I regularly visit a customer site where wireless devices are forbidden because they manufacture and test wireless equipment. They are very strict about it and in the past when I've visited they would completely uninstall my PC laptop's wireless driver before they would allow me to bring it into their facility. I went back to their site and they didn't know how to 'uninstall' the driver on my MBP so they wouldn't allow it on campus. I did some research/Googleing and haven't come up with anything. Does anyone know how to completely remove the Airport driver? And perhaps more importantly to me personally, how to re-install it after I leave the customer? PowerPC :: Wine + Ibook = Flashing Screen?
Well, a friend of mine spilled wine on my ibook g4. Other than trying to decide how much if not all of it to ask her to pay(my wine, but on an armrest and I was in the other room), I was wondering if anyone can fix suggestions. We got the battery out and it unplugged right away, but when I turn it on the screen violently flashes on and off. It does seem to run fine other than that, though.

OS X :: Snow Leopard Build In WINE Without X11?
Is it technically possible for Snow Leopard to build into OS X the WINE project, and have seamless ability to install and use Windows applications on OS X (without X11 cluttering it up - and with the realization it wouldn't be 100% compatible?) Is that even possible? Would the WINE license prohibit it?

Windows On Mac :: Running MSN Using WINE / CrossOver?
I've been meaning to sign up for ages but only now am I getting around to it.Anyway, here is my question.I have been running Linux for quite some time, and am fairly adept at using terminal, WINE, etc. As with most people, I still cannot completely avoid Windows (Borderlands is addictive ok?) and I still use MSN, seeing as 95% of the people I know use it, not Yahoo messenger, AIM or Skype. Which is a nuisance for me, because while I like Adium, it really does suck compared to the real MSN client. And as usual, Microsoft pretends to be nice to Apple "developing software for it" while making sure its products are crippled so people either need to run CrossOver / Wine or Parallels / VMware to use it inside OS X, or create a boot camp partition for Windows. This doesn't make me want to use Windows, it makes me even more glad I purchased a Macbook.Ranting aside, I find the Wine client for Mac kind of 2nd rate compared to the Linux version.Installing winetricks fails miserably, where on Linux it was simple. Also, the lack of a decent DMG file or package makes installing it that little bit more difficult, I've never had good luck at installing things via terminal, even on Linux. My question is, has anyone found a way to install Wine and Winetricks on Mac to install MSN messenger?-IMPORTANT NOTE-I have Adium installed, as well as Microsoft Messenger, aMSN and I've tried basically all the other clients out there. Do not suggest these as solutions. This is about how to install the OFFICIAL Windows Live Messenger on Mac OS X using Wine, CrossOver or another method.

OS X :: Can I Uninstall The SL Upgrade
I'm so fed up with all the bugs in SL i encounter, i want to go back to 10.5.8, when everything just worked. However, SL messed up the connection with my TM backup disk (cannot access sparsebundle, error 109) where my 10.5.8 OS resides. So now the only way possible seems to install with my original 10.5 disk. Can i downgrade by doing an archive and install of an older system (leopard) over a newer system (SL) If it can be avoided i don't want to reinstall all my apps as well??? For example what will happen with all my emails?

OS X :: Is It Possible To Hide Dock Completely
I wonder if it is possible to hide the Dock completely. If you go to Dock settings and hide it, it will appear when the cursor near its edge. What I want, is to hide it completely - dont want it to appear all of a sudden and interrupt me. I found the app Dock Gone, which hides the Dock and makes it accessible via a keyboard-shortcut. Thing is, it costs $14.95, and I just want the dock to disappear. Is there a way to do this? A terminal command or something? I guess there must be - Dock Gone is doing it somehow.

I want my computer to be faster etc. again because sometimes it's getting a little slower than it used to be. Also I maybe want to sell it, so I thought this would be useful then. I don't want to reinstall mac OS X again, because i have many important files, photos, memories, ... etc. on my computer and I am too lazy to make a huge backup. Any good free downloadable software that deletes all the hidden files, messenger history, caches, deleted files, etc.

But still, when i put in the Logic install disc, it says it detects an install of Final Cut Studio 2 or older....... And in software update it still has updates for final cut. But with the application being removed it shouldn't try to upgrade it right? What else do I need to do to get everything off my machine?

OS X :: 10.5.8 Upgrade Not Completely Installed
I thought I'd help my Dad out by upgrading his MacBook Pro from 10.5.1 to 10.5.8. I downloaded using software update. I acknowledged the restart request. After a quick 'reboot' of sorts I have a blue screen with 'Installing 1 Item', a 1cm pulsing bar and 'configuring installation underneath. This has persisted for 4 hours. A Mac friend recommended letting it run all night, but it keeps going to sleep. I am waking it every ten minutes. I was thinking of forcing shutdown and rebooting in Target from my powerbook, repairing permissions, and reinstalling the upgrade from a disk image instead. I need to get into the drive to quickly backup the home folder, although I did backup a few documents that I think were important before all this.
