Jan 16, 2010So i've recently gotten in the uploading to YouTube craze with my Flip Mino HD but i'm not too happy at the way i've been doing this and am hoping there is an easier way.
As of late i've been importing what i film into iMovie. In iMovie i'll edit the video to my liking. In iMovie i'll "export" to the media browser so it'll show up in GarageBand. Then i'll open GarageBand and edit my film further, dealing with sound; adding music. After that i'll export it as a .MOV to my desktop. Then i'll open iMovie again and import that .MOV file and from there in iMovie will have it upload to YouTube in its original HD format.

Jun 28, 2012Ultimate Objective - export a playlist to a USB stick to play in my truck radio.I would like the final product to be in the same format as an MP3 CD (i.e., with folders, etc).Current Status - I know I can drag the playlist to the USB and it will dump all of the files into one folder (ROOT).The problem is that my truck stereo only recognizes 100 songs per folder.So I get the first 100 songs and that is it.A way to do this - create MP3 CDs and then copy them to the USB stick. That is very painful due to the fact that I have over 6GB of music that I want to end up on my USB stick.
What I'm wondering is if there is any way to get iTunes to burn to a folder (instead of a CD). That way, I could just burn a series of folders on my local drive.Then I could just copy those to the USB stick. Something else that I thought of.Does anyone know of an app or script that will take a group of MP3 files and sort them into folders based on artist/album/whatever.

OS X :: How To Export All Stickies Notes
Jan 20, 2010I'm using Snow Leopard (10.6.2) and need to export all my Stickies notes. The only tip I have found is to go to File -> Print All Notes as PDF.
But there is no Print All Notes subMenu!
I also found in MacOSXHints an AppleScript. It didn't work.
Does anybody know of a way to export them?
Mac Pro :: Can't Export External Display Well?
Sep 21, 2010I have a new Macbook Pro 13 inch. When I use gmail, labels show up in beautiful colors on the screen. However, when I connect an external display (I tried three displays) the colors of the labels become almost invisible. When I try to calibrate with this card [URL] I can't see the boxes in the white strip on the right no matter how I set all three moniters (unless I go down to D50 yellow).
When I talked to the Genius Bar they said this is normal because the MacBook Pro doesn't have a good video card to run external displays.

Jul 23, 2008in the last two days, when i make something in garageband and i want to export to disk. before i would choose my desktop and after normalizing and converting...it would put a mp3 on my desktop. recently when i do this, it normalizes the track...but it just stops after that....no mp3 on my desktop....i have to send it to itunes now and then pull it out of itunes to have an mp3....what is going on?

Mar 14, 2009Every time I export a song out of GarageBand, the volume for the MP3 track is too low. I have to blast my volume in order to hear it. In the old GarageBand, the volume would usually be too loud on the MP3 track, but now it is the opposite.
I have tried adjusting the Master Volume and the Track Volume in GB and have still had no luck. The volume problem happens when I export a track containing only Apple Loops. If the track contains music played by my keyboard, then the volume is fine.
Final Cut Pro :: How To Export QT HDV PC Codec
Aug 2, 2010My normal workflow is to shoot HDV 1080i60 and import via a Sony HD-700 clamshell via firewire into FCP 6.0.6 working with a sequence set to HDV 1080i60. Depending on my next steps, I'll either export straight from here, do a QT conversion, or transfer the sequence to a Pro Res sequence and export from there. I'll often send a compressed (H.264) file to the client via yousendit. Never has there been a problem with the workflow or the client opening the file on a PC...
Now the other day, for the first time I had to work off of my portable set-up....FCE off a macbook pro and an external 7200 rpm hard drive. I imported with the only available choice (apple intermediate codec) and went about my edit. I exported and sent the file....While the file was fine on my laptop the PC user could only HEAR the QT file but got no picture. I was able to burn a DVD and move the operation to my desktop.
But after countless attempts at troubleshooting, including printing to tape and reimporting, recapturing all the original footage from tape, using my standard sequence settings, etc. I still can only export a QT file that is unable to be properly viewed by PC users.

Software :: Export CAF To MP3 Via QuickTime?
Aug 3, 2008I have a CAF file that I want to export to MP3. I don't want to use iTunes to do this, since I figure that QuickTime should be able to do it for me quickly. There is no export to MP3 available, however. I looked around on the Web and saw some QuickTime components, but cannot seem to find a recent one that is a Universal binary.
Is it possible to export CAF to MP3 via QuickTime?
Software :: Can't Export From IMovie
Apr 29, 2010I'm trying to make my first movie (and subsequently first DVD) from iMovie.
I'm using iMovie 8 and iDVD 7.0.4.
I've downloaded some Mp4 clips from YouTube and imported them into iMovie via "File -> Import Movies". The clips are in the right order and play fine in iMovie.
When, however, I attempt to export the newly created movie, nothing happens. I click on "Share", but all subsequent options are greyed out. Nothing is selectable.
I've tried a number of things and read through everything I can find in the PDF included with the software (plus some Google searching), but can't get past this problem.
When I imported the clips I went with the default settings presented. Did I perhaps go wrong there?

Dec 13, 2008Trying to convert a .mov file to .wmv using either flip4mac or perian or any other plugin. In any configuration QT crashes no matter what conversion type I'm using. A little rectangular white window appears with only the orange dot visible and within seconds I get the beach ball running and have to Force Quit QT. Looked all over the internet to no avail - except lots of complaints regarding conversion in QT with no real solutions being offered. Emptied cash and trashed prefs file all to no avail. Is this a QT bug in 7.5.5 although I haven't heard anything on the Apple site?

Nov 9, 2010A few versions back you could export songs from the file menu. Now you can't. I know there is a "library -->burn to disc" menu item, but isn't there a simple way to get one song exported out in either MP3 or AAC format?

Jan 8, 2011I run a Mac Pro 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual Core Intel OSX 10.5.8 and have been editing video with iMovie HD 5.0.2 for several years. I recently connected my Sony DVR-2100E camcorder to iMovie, imported and edited footage. When I tried to export the edited footage back to the camera iMovie refused to recognise either of my 2 camcorders and would not connect. Although I have iMovieHD installed I do not appear to have iLife. I also have iMovieHD 5.0.2 installed on my Powerbook. When I connect either of my 2 camcorders to the Powerbook they connect OK to iMovie but the moment I try to export any footage back to camera it immediately crashes and say's it has lost the connection. This happens every time. If I purchase the Snow Leopard upgrade for Leopard for $39 will it have iLife with a full version of iMovie included, or will I have to purchase a full installation version? I am hoping that a newer version of iMovie with iLife will solve my problems.

Jan 12, 2011so i've created outlines for a bunch of animated characters- 24 frames per second, each frame is a different psd file with black outlines. I'm animating over live action footage, similar in look and style to Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
I brought them in to final cut and edited them nicely (i applied some motion effects, changing the position on a few frames) so i can work with them in after effects to track them to some handheld shots.
What i need to know how to do is to export these outlines from FCP to After Effects with an alpha background- I did the export with the animation codec and the millions+ option, but when i brought them into after effects, the frames are all black! (as they are in FCP when i get rid of the shot beneath them...(which i'm doing because i just want to edit the outlines in after effects, not them on top of the footage))
