So I know this problem has been posted before, but I haven?t found a solid answer. When I drag music from a folder to iTunes, the green plus shows up but iTunes doesn?t do anything. It doesn?t import or even play the songs (when I double click them). I have write access to Music and Music/iTunes.
Whats wrong? It was working fine 24 hours ago.
For some reason when I go to drag music to a playlist in iTunes, it will not move. Then I restart the program and it will work, but only for a little while and then it is back to not being able to move again. I tried clearing the preference files and no luck.

It's the weirdest thing. I can drag a few songs out onto the desktop, then it stops letting me. Only a restart fixes this temporarily.
I'm putting together a huge selection of reggae and island music for a luau and was wondering if, when I transfer the playlist to my iPod Touch, if it will keep the order of the songs or rearrange them to alphabetical. I'd like to keep the order I put it in, not alphabetical. Thoughts?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThey're still accessible through finder, but now I can't drag-and-drop anything (at all) to the desktop. It was fine a minute ago before I shut down and rebooted my laptop. Restarts and switching users does nothing. I'm using Mac OSX Lion 10.7.4.

so recently i began noticing, I can't drag music, movies, etc files form ituens to my desktop if i just want a copy of them on the desktop.. I figured it just itunes bug that will fix it self on restart.. However then I noticed i can't drag downloaded files from safari's download tab on top right... Before i used to open a tab and drag files to the desktop form the tab, now same thing as in itunes.. Wont do it.. I can copy stuff on a finder level but it doesn't work from an app to a desktop/finder level.. Same thing with iphoto as well..

So over the past few months I have noticed this small bug/glitch in iTunes... and it is very annoying.
I cannot drag songs from playlists into different order. iTunes just doesn't let me drag at all.
I have to quit iTunes, then restart it. It will work for one time, but as soon as I got back to "Library" and then try to go back and edit a playlist, I have to exit iTunes.
Any fix for this?
When I drag a file from my desktop to another folder it stays on the desktop.

Yesterday I found that I can't drag and drop any files on my desktop. I get the white circle with a line through it when I try to drag anything. I can drag off of my desktop to my HD and to the trash but I can't drag anything back. Not sure when it happened, but I can no longer drag & drop from my download folder to the desktop. I can, however, go through 'Find" and drop the file that way. I am running OS X. I'm on a MacBook Pro.

Ever since I have had my Mac, which I bought only in March, I've been totally baffled by the Stacks facility.
I put documents straight from the desktop onto a folder onto hard disc - it appears to have done this. I then check it a few days later - no document in folder and I then have to panickily check the Stacks to see if a copy is in there.
It usually is, so I then have to start again -drag doc onto desktop and then put it into folder and hope the darned thing stays in the folder this time.

You can drag your application windows to the edge of the screen and Windows will automatically resize your window to take up half the screen. I have two Virtual Machines running on my MacbookPro. One is Windows and the other is Ubuntu. The Windows 7 system is running perfectly well but the Ubuntu VM has got issues with dragging/dropping files from Mac to Ubuntu and vice versa.When I checked on the Parallel Desktop's forum, the only solution provided was that the Parallel Desktop's tool should be uninstalled and reinstalled; which I have done. But that didn't solve the problem. The Configuration menu "Virtual Machine" offered checkboxes for the (Copy & Paste) section, and I can confirm that both boxes for 'Share Mac Cipboard' and 'Preserve Text Formatting' are checked. That should have solved the copy/paste problem but didn't.

I some local internet streams which I listen to, when I added them a long time ago I couldn't add them to the itunes radio tab :-( but created a playlist.I would like to have those streams available on my laptop but since there is no "music" it does not sync. Is there a way to do this? It would be nice to have them on the idevices as well but there i just use a radio app.

Just went from Windows to mac and want to bring my windows itunes playlists. when I hit export and save it on a usb and hit import in mac itunes, then I get the playlist but its all empty.
