May 11, 2012I have tried to save messages. I have tried to import both *.mbox directories (and I renamed a saved raw message source file renamed with the mbox extension). None of these worked. I always get 'No valid Mail for Mac OS X files were found'.

The messages could not be moved to the mailbox trash." The selected messages do disappear from the stack but what is this message trying to tell me?

Jun 22, 2012Somehow, I now have two Yahoo accounts on my laptop (I think it happened when I updateed snow leopard a couple of months ago).This resulted in double messages to my iPhone, which put me over my data usage. When I tried to remove one of the yahoo accounts by "delete mailbox" on my laptop, the mailbox remained and the mail remained but the message contents in both Yahoo accounts were empty!

Jun 29, 2012I recently transferred all my data from a MacBook Pro to my new MacBook Air. I have an old Groupwise mailbox on my Pro which has been offline for over a year since my company switched from Groupwise to Outlook. After the Groupwise acct went offline the option to delete the mailbox has been greyed out. I'm trying to get this old mailbox off my Air now, after it transferred with everything else. How can I delete this old account?

May 26, 2012I keep getting an invalid mailbox name error every five minutes. I am able to send and receive mail, this is just very annoying. Can anyone help? Seem like it must be an easy fix. I was on the phone with Apple Care for over an hour and they could not figure it out.

Jun 25, 2012I have Lion 10.7.4 on 2010 MBP. I use the mail program on the Mac. I have 20 Smart Mailboxes set up and each is working fine. Yeterday I set 5 Smart Mailbox Folders and placed each Samrt Mailbox in the appropriate Smart Mailbox Folder. At the end of the day i turned the MBP off. This morning when I opened mail all my Smart Mailbox Folders were gone. My Smart Mailboxes are still there.Â

Oct 25, 2007I did something really stupid... I have been accessing my GMail account using POP access and Apple Mail.app. I switched over to IMAP online, went into Mail.app Preferences, deleted my POP account and was about to re-add it as an IMAP account when I noticed that the e-mails in my inbox were deleted when I deleted my POP account. I checked ~/Library/Mail and the folder was in fact deleted. Is there anyway to recover that folder? Not all of the e-mails are still on GMail's web interface.

I can right click it, select delete. And it gives the warning. I select OK and it does nothing. I have tried it through the menu system too, and the same result.
Any idea how to delete the mailbox? The deal is I set it up to an email that I cannot access via POP and it is constantly trying to access it but can't, obviously.
