I assume it is caused by the last OS/X update.
Problem:
I have 8 Virtual screens and usually use one for mail, filer, and one for browser and so on. With Mission Control I used to get all the screens in the top and the collection of windows of the current screen.
Now I only get the windows of the current screen. I still can switch to the first 4 screens (Ctrl 1 ... 4 ) But not further :-(I use CMD TAB to switch now.

there are claims that a uMB with screen 9CA5 is as good as the MBA, Anyone have both to do a side by side.
The screen was the one reason I went with the MBA.
I just got my Sammy HDTV/Monitor, which is a 23" 1080p HDTV. However, when I connect my MBP via my mini-displayport to HDMI adapter, the screen gets cut off on the top and the bottom. I have tried to switch the resolutions from 1080p to 720p, but it still does the same thing. It gets off both when I use the external as a secondary monitor and when I mirror the displays and use it as a primary monitor. When I turn overscan off in System Prefs, the 1080p image shrinks and there are black bars around all sides (however, it does show the entire screen). Does anyone know how to fix this? I want to get the most out of my recent purchase, and I know this is possible because I've seen it.

I run Microsoft OneNote side by side with some mac Apps and often find my self switching between the apps using Leopard spaces on my MBA which is annoying. I want to be able set an external LCD and assign that solely to OneNote, and simultaneously be able to access my OSX apps on my MBA's LCD. So each OS platform has its own window.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Macbook Pro 2.16 Core Duo, and I'm wanting to install 10.6, but about a year ago, I cracked my screen to the point that I cannot make anything out on it, and haven't replaced it. Instead, I have just been using it in clamshell mode, which has worked out fine so far. My problem is that I cannot get the 10.6 install to show up on my external monitor.
I searched around, and could only find one other similar thread that just ended with the author putting it in clamshell and having it work fine. When I boot to the install and close the screen, I just get a grey box on my external display with a black bar on either side of it. I can't seem to find any other resources, so I'm not entirely sure what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a macbook with osx lion, fully updated, and I work with two screens on my workplace. The problem is that when I turn any aplication to full screen, I can`t use the other screen, because the full screen mode uses the desktop of both screens.

I can barely see digital pictures and the likes. But websites and such i can see fine so long as the colors are light and looking on this site... [URL]
the first image i absolutely cannot see, it is 100% pitch black.. the other bellow it shows up just fine. But the two left/lowest squares on the color table on the very bottom the page both appear the same shade of pitch black.
I can see light but not dark. I tried callibrating and adjusting brightness and contrast.
What is the Difference between an lcd screen for a Macbook pro 15 A1150 and an A1226? I need to know if I have to buy a A1150 LCD replacement or will any macbook pro 15.4 screen work as long as it is a TFT LCD 1440 by 900. I know the LED screens won't work. The A1226 screens seem more common and easier to find. My model of Macbook is a A1150/MA464LL/A 2.0GHZ.

View 24 Replies View RelatedSo I bought my MacBook a year ago and I just bought cords for my laptop to my TV. I bought a Mini DisplayPort to DVI cord than an Xtreme HD cord thats DVI to HDMI. For some reason however I can't get the sound to play off of my TV no matter what, it only plays on my laptop and I was told it would be able to just fine, however for me thats not the case. Second when I link the two screens up together my TV will just have the Background no icon's or anything just the plain simple background. Once I click "Mirror Screens" then my laptop screen is completely small for me and my TV one is just fine, but when I open applications b/c my laptop screen is so small like the "Play" button for movies is nearly impossible to hit because its right behind the dock.
So my questions are: How do I get sound out of my Mini DisplayPort to DVI & DVI to HDMI cord instead of buying an audio cord from laptop to TV.
How can I mirror screens correctly to keep the same size on my laptop screen for when I open things they aren't smushed or hard to play.
what the safest method for cleaning the anti-glare screens is on the unibodies. On my glossy a simple damp lint-free cloth works perfectly, but I have a feeling that over time that method of cleaning may actually rub/ruin the antiglare surface, so I'm a bit worried.
