MacBook :: Finding 4.1 (White) And Circa 2005 Cinema Display Compatibility?

I just wanted to ask how i can get this white macbook to run (if it can this cinema display)
Its the 4.1 White macbook, and the cinema display i had with my G5 which i bought in 2005. THe display has the old connectors (see MM photo Album below)

Is it possible for me to get the macbook to run this? If so, how? (i can head to apple store today to pick up parts! Wife needs the largerr real estate to sort out her portfolio as i have put of buying a MacPro for a few months (just finished travelling for 3 years

I am right now looking at the Cinema Display (probably the specific model for me is the M9177LL/A) to attach to my Mac mini. I did search but couldn't find the answer to this: Does this display support using the brightness controls that are on my aluminum wireless keyboard or would I have to use the controls on the panel itself? Just curious since I already like how it matches the rest of the setup, how about use the buttons that are on the keyboard?

I'm trying to set up a MacBook (White) and 30" Cinema Display - I'm using an Apple mini DVI to DVI adaptor. The max resolution I can set the macbook to run at is 1280 X 800 and the Cinema display looks all blocky and not good - I know the macbook is not capable of running the 30" displays native resolution of 2560 X 1600 but I thought DVI could go up to 1600 X 1200? I installed the 30" cinema display software / drivers - Is there anything else I can do in Tiger to increase the maximum external display resolution?

I have a macbook and I want to get a cinema display but I heard that the cinema displays from apple do not work with any other computer.
Does anyone know where I can get an adapter to have the display work with non-macbooks?
Also I posted this question on Apple Forums and they removed it with no answer because it can lead to rumours about new product releases so I am seeing if anyone here has an answer.

I have the Imac Alu 24", 2.4 ghz Core 2 Duo with a ATI Radeon HD2600 graphic card with 256MB VRAM. I will be buying a 2 year old apple Cinema display 30" tomorrow from a colleague and would like to know that my IMAC can easily handle supporting this display at its normal resolution and have a crisp and correct image on the larger screen. I know that this older version of the Alu Imac has the older video out display port, but I presume I can convert it to attach to this 2 year old screen as well. Is there something I'll need to do to get this to work?

I have had my alum Macbook since its release, and have a personal preference issue about the black keys. Since 08 I have loved my slim IMac chicklet keyboard with the white keys, so much so that I purchased an apple bluetooth keyboard to type on for long typing excursions. I had the bluetooth keyboard right up against my Macbook and realized that the layout, size and shape of the keys were identical. I love the white keys simply for the contrast of the black letters on the white chicklets. I also hate how the keys are getting shiny black, just kinda feels cheap. I should try to swap the keys on these units? I would love the white keys on my macbook, but I am not sure if they attach the same. I don't have the backlit keys, so I wouldn't loose anything.

I am actually trying to decide if to get the old 30" cinema display or not.I'm a graphic designer and my fear is that apple will never make a matte display...Here in Italy it's still sold in the apple store. I have the unibody macbook pro, and so I've been reading through reviews now for a week ... my biggest concern is the dual-link dvi adapter... I still see posts (August or September 2010) with people experiencing issues, even with the firmware 1.3!I wanted to ask you people if I should go for it or dig the 27 inch even though it's glossy... I have a few people in the office (also graphic designers) working on iMacs and got used to the glossy.

Ok, So I have heard what others are saying , but I just want to be sure, I have a Late 2009 White Macbook (Feb. 4, 2009). It is running Leopard 2GB RAM, 64 BIT, 120 HD, BLUETOOTH, ECT. I was curious if my Macbook will be able to run Snow Leopard because some people say it needs 4GB RAM and I can replace my ram, but I really just want to run it smoothly on my macbook.

So I have a konica Minolta Pagepro 1400W.. a pretty old printer (3 years). I wonder if it is compatible with mac. I am getting some conflicting answers on google, one saying that only windows machine is compatible with it. And then there's another site which direct me to a site to download something called min12xxw. I dun understand anything that's stated on that site and would like some help with it.

I've hooked up my 30" Apple Cinema Display to the new iMac 27" and the highest resolution I'm getting as an option is 1280x800... The iMac correctly detects the ACD as a Cinema HD display but limits my resolution. Why oh why?!

I own 23 and 30" Cinema Displays. I like the 23 because everything is larger and easier to read than in the 30". I mostly work in Logic and love that I see lots of things on the 30" but the 23" is much easier on my eyes.Is there such a thing as a display with 2560x1600 (like the 30" Apple) but that is LARGER than a 30 inch so I can see everything bigger in Logic??? Maybe a 34 or 37"? Did a search but haven't come up with anything other than other 30" displays.

As the title says, I need a new monitor for my old G5 as the old monitor for it went bust. Apple does not make the old displays that came with the unit anymore and the only available monitor is the new LED ones ? but they all come with mini display ports

I am looking for a display to use with my Powerbook G4 12". I am in love with the 30" cinema display, but according to technical support today, my setup is not compatible (supposedly, but the person on the phone didn't sound to sure). I have a mini DVI, but the 30" requires a dual DVI. I think the 23" display requires DVI, which I can attain with an adapter. Does anyone have suggestions for what I can use with my computer? The bigger the better for me. Also what do you think of the older (plastic case) apple displays?

Purchased a brand new 27" i7 imac a few weeks ago, display is awesome!!! I was using my old 28" LCD monitor from my PC and running dual displays on the iMac. The 28" LCD monitor annoyed me a bit because i could not get the same color/crispness/brightness that i got from the iMac. ( also it has a Matt screen and i am more into the glossy screens ) So i found a used 24" cinema display locally. Paid 600.00 and it came with 2 yrs of AppleCare. It is only 7 months old ( still have 5 months under orignal warranty ) Got home, hooked it up and it had a "hint" of yellowness to it, It wasn't a exact image of my iMacs display...I tried to calibrate it also, but it still had just a HINT of yellowness....Nothing at all major, but enough for me to be annoyed with it.

I have a 2008 Mac Pro with ATI Radeon 2600XT and a 30" Cinema Display. I am considering buying a Wacom Contiq 24 HD screen/tablet and would like to know if the Radeon 2600 will drive both or will I need a second graphics card? If so, do I buy another 2600 or can someone suggest something suitable?

I am contemplating an upgrade from my 2.2 / 4G MBP with 128M VRAM, as i find that it often chokes on simpliest HD movie files created with a DSLR (weekish video), regardless whether I use it with or without the 30 inch Cinema display. So, I am curious how the new Air will run an external monitor, and whether it has enough juice to at least display the HD movies shot with a DSLR without dropped frames/jerkiness. (I guess I am asking two questions in one).

This is sad I don't know this, but I've only used Macs for a year and have only used a Macbook. This weekend I bought a cinema display to go with it. I plugged in the DVI cable, but was expecting there would also be a cable from the display into the wall socket? The display has four cables coming out of it, the DVI, USB, firewire and another. I clicked the display's power button, but only get a black screen.

I am thinking of updating my home studio setup which is currently running a Macbook pro 13" 2.26 with 4gb of ram. I was first thinking of upgrading to an iMac with a 3.06Ghz processor and 27" display. However, I now think I might be ok staying with my MacBook and upgrading to one of the two displays;- The 30" Cinema display- Or the 24" Cinema LED displayAt nearly half the price I am leaning towards the 24" display. I am using logic and ableton. What does everyone think and anyone had any experiences running logic and or ableton with a MacBook and display.

I'm tired of the low end GPUs in the MacBook Pros and iMacs, want to game but don't want a PC. I'm considering picking up a second hand Mac Pro and upgrading the GPU - however, I know there aren't currently drivers available for eg. the HD 5000 series. What would happen if I were to install one in a Mac Pro? Would I get no image at all in OS X? Would I get unusable video/flash/photoshop performance in OS X?

I bought a new 24" LED Cinema Display today but once I got it home I found that it doesn't want to charge my MacBook's battery. It said "Not Charging" when I clicked the battery icon in the menu bar but I really thought nothing of it. Then, while I was transferring files from my external HDD to the MacBook everything just turned off completely. I feared the worst and when I tried booting my MacBook it simply would not turn on. It seems like the Cinema Display had bled my MacBook dry - it had no charge in the battery and I had to do an NVRAM reset to get it to charge again over the power adapter. Still when I connect my Cinema Display to the Magsafe it does not charge the computer, yet it does charge fine when I connect it to the MacBook power adapter. Seems like a faulty Cinema Display to me, but it was an 80 mile round trip to the store to buy it, I don't really want to have to go back. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm thinking of picking up the 27'' when it arrives, but I don't know how I'm going to be able to use the speakers in the new display? My MBP doesn't have MiniDisplay Port with audio and I don't think that the display has any ports to connect something else? how/if I can make audio work?
It's a June 2009 Macbook Pro. 15'', 2.8Ghz stock model.

I have an old "apple cinema hd display" ... how do I connect to my new mac book pro. The cord coming out of the display is one big cord that turns into 4 cords (1. power, 2. firewire, 3. usb, and 4. the monitor plug that has 2 sets of 9 prongs and 1 dash). I just got a refurbished macbook pro 2.3 GHz Intel core i7 built in Feb 2011.Any ideas how to connect..On another note ... with my wireless apple mouse, what was once swipe down meant scroll down on the screen ... now it's swipe down is scroll up ... is there a way to reverse that?
