I am running out of space on my powerbook g4, and noticed that the libraries take up most of the space (other than my media). I have one library folder, Macintosh/Library, also one under Macintosh/System/Library, and lastly one under Macintosh/Users/(My user name)/Library. That seems like it's a little much, but I don't know, maybe I do need it. Is there a way to delete any of them, or maybe I can use an external hard drive along with my powerbook. I have a 500GB MyBook external hard drive, with a usb plug-in. Can I use that to use applications from and stuff like that? I don't know what I should do.
#1 - I'm using 10.6.8 - Snow Leopard (right?), so do I need to upgrade to Lion to completely sync with the Cloud? My iPhone 4S doesn't sync with iCal anymore. Am I doing something wrong? I'm thinking that if I were to upgrade to Lion, that would solve the syncing issue.Â
#2 - I have two untitled calendars & the Entourage one that I want to delete. I can't figure out how to do that. Again, maybe I need to bite the bullet & upgrade to Lion so that I can sync with iCal?

I have slight problem. I am making a switch from Windows to Mac, I copied some of my old files, around 30 GB, to my new mac with the help of external HD. I placed the folder on my desktop and the problem is that, now I can't delete these copied files. When i try to delete them Mac asks for a admin password, I type the password but nothing happens the files haven't moved. I have set permission to read & write for all users. What could be the problem here? Is it that files on my old PC wher NTFS, but i copied them to mac OS X.
I have downloaded the latest version of Lion and I have also checked ICloud on System preferences. I can see both my Iphone and Ipad there, but not my Mac... How can I add this thrd device there?
I just bought an ipad and it had icloud and when I attach the ipad to the macbook pro (running lion; up to date) it is not even recognizing that it is attached. I want to put the icloud on the macbook pro because it is not on there. When I go to system preferences and look for the icon for icloud it is not there. The instructions said that you have to go to system preferences and click on the icloud icon and follow the instructions but I show no icon.Â
I have the black MacBook and I don't have the iOS system, how can I access my Match account to update, delete and see my songs? I am receiving e-mails saying that my Cloud is full and I want to manage it.
I recently changed my Apple ID. When I try to make changes to my iCloud account on my Mac., I cannot access the account via System Preferences. I've changed the password once already. My iPhone's iCloud account is fine. At this point my iCloud account no longer is working with my Mac.

There are hidden duplicates in my iCloud contacts - old ones for contacts where I've updated info. They don't show up in the regular contacts list ("all contacts"), yet they always show up when I enter a name into an email address and in iPhoto's Faces names. I can't change them to the correct names in iPhoto. And I can't find them to delete the old data.Anyone know where these are stored (old contact data that's been deleted or updated)? And, how can I access that place?Â

I have no idea why but I can't delete or edit Address Book entries in Lion. It works fine on the web-based client and from my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 (CDMA). But my Address Book.app in Lion only can view them. I've tried turning off the Address Book function and re-adding it. I made sure all permissions are correct for the address book prefs etc are correct.

I just updated to iCloud/Lion and now I can't permanently delete any of my me.com messages. This only happens in the iCloud mailbox. I can permanently delete messages from all of my other email accounts. I will delete a message in the iCloud mailbox and when I go to my inbox, the message is back. I checked my preferences and I have "Move deleted message to the Trash mailbox" selected and "Store deleted messages on the server" not selected.Â
After importing addresses with the 'gear' and "import vcards", I noticed that hundreds of my contacts weren't there. So I went back to my old Mac Mail and added them into Address Book. I then exported Address Book contacts as a "save as" different name, then imported into iCloud address. Now I have hundreds of duplicate addresses. How do I delete the duplicates?
I created a shared photostream at one time named Family...it was shared by me. It still shows in iCloud on both my mac and my iOS devices. I have tried to delete it via the photos app in iOS and via iPhoto on my mac....it deletes and then reappears in a few moments. It is an empty stream that I created to test but I cannot get rid of it...
