Jun 5, 2010I've got a really annoying problem on my mac that I'd do anything to get rid of. When I play a streamed movie or tv programme off the net (ie from iplayer or 4OD) firstly the mouse doesn't disappear after 3-4 seconds and is always visible on screen and secondly on some occasions the screen just goes white! I have to quit playback and then go back to full screen to get rid of it.

i put in the word "party" and all these unrelated pictures come up.
i assume there's some appendant info attached to the pic --somewhere-- but i can't even seem to successfully delete the "picture keywords" using preview
not sure where the keywords i want to delete are stored, really-- cause in preview, i cant even find the keyword "party"...
i know a simple way would be to search for "party" only using the title search, but sometimes i want the broader search. there must be a way to alter a pic file to make it not show up on searches, no?

Dec 14, 2009I was cleaning up some of the unused pictures that came pre-installed with Leopard on my iMac, such as the abstracts and solid colours, that are used for changing the desktop backgrounds; but after getting rid of the original pictures and folders I am still left with the folders as being able to be selected when I try to change a desktop background.
I can't use the minus sign to remove the folders from the list.
Is there some other way of removing the folders?
It's not really a big deal, but it is kind of annoying having empty folders showing up on the list.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem?

Jun 2, 2012I have recently upgraded to Lion and iCloud. There are two very annoying quirks that i don't know how to fix: 1-When working with word, documents or emails in the middle of a sequence the picture or window suddenly is yanked off the screen to the right. More often than not it can't be retrieved. This happens often 2-In the same mode as in #1 above the print size will suddenly increase maybe by a factor of 3x or 4x. it happens spontaneously. 3-There are many other problems with the upgrade: -With sequence emails the secondary emails are not printed. When one tries to open those emails it often fails.-The new address book format is crap. it is very difficult to go from single listings to group listings and back.

May 13, 2012I have iCloud, and it doesn't seem to be doing a thing. My calendars, which used to sync under MobileMe, now don't sync anymore. In fact, they don't even sync through iTunes when I PHYSICALLY PLUG the phone into the Macbook. Calendars are set up to sync. I have selected ALL calendars to sync (even though I wish I could just get rid of the different calendars and have just one. What a pain! Just because I wanted to write in different colors on my calendar depending on the type of event, iCal has to complicate everything and treat these as separate calendars???) The settings on my iPhone are also set to sync all calendars. I've gone into the iCloud settings; everything is on and enabled. The OS on the iPhone is the most current. iTunes is up to date. My OS on my Macbook is the latest (Lion OS 10.7.4).
