My Mail icon just wound not work when i clicked on it. Opened up in safe boot mode and it fixed itself. But then 'connection logging enabled' appeared on the Mail tool bar. Mail works okay, but what does this the strange sentence mean?I use Mavericks, and my macbook pro is mid-2010.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter I logged out of my account, I logged back in to see nothing on my desktop except for "Macintosh HD." I click on it and noticed that my home folder is mounted as a disk image under "Places." By "home folder" I meant the folder found at MacintoshHDusers ame-of-folder. I did not shutdown and login again, I logged out back to the main login screen, then logged in again under the same account. Shutting down the computer before logging in to the same account prevents this from happening, but logging out then logging back in causes it to happen.

For the past 2 weeks, my Macbook Pro has been acting very strange. For full disclosure, I am running 10.6.8 on a 2008 MacBook Pro that is hooked up to a 30 -inch Cinema display.
First off, windows have been acting strange. If I click on the top bar of my web browser or application to drag the window to a new place, the image stays still, and then reloads from top to bottom as if it is refreshing. It them jumps to the place where my mouse then lands. This occurs very often.
Second, at least 3-4 times during my workday the entire screen turns blue, and appears to log me out. It then logs me back in and attempts to reopen all the programs I had open. This cycle takes about 25 seconds and is getting very annoying.
Lastly, my interface is a bit screwy now. Normally when I adjust the sound, a white speaker appears is the middle of the screen and shows the new volume level. Now, the speaker is a splotchy purple color and has relocated to the very bottom of my screen. Also, all the colors in my dock are warped. I attached a screenshot to this post.
I've got a late 2006 MacBook Pro and installed the Wireless N enabler a while back. I've got Snow Leopard now, and the card still reads as N capable in both Network Utility and System Profiler. I've sometimes been able to connect at N speeds, but not always. For example, right now I'm on my office's wireless network. Another guy has a MacBook Pro (a year newer than mine so it shipped with N enabled), but I can only get 54 speeds, while he can get 130. Any ideas? Could it just be a router setting? I option+clicked on the AirPort menu item and took a screenshot. My coworker is also on Channel 6, at 2.4GHz

Every time I try to open a specific website, it pulls up an error saying "This site requires the use of JavaScript. Please check your Internet settings.". Javascript is enabled on Safari, but still won't work. I've tried opening it in Firefox and Google Chrome... same thing! I tried to uninstall and reinstall, no luck.

I am having some trouble with my MBP early 2011. It's currently running 10.7.3. I have been trying to open system preferences to modify some things, but it freezes whenever I enable editing. System Preferences has been crashing at any point that I have to enter an Admin password. I noticed that this just started happening recently, and I would really not like to reinstall Lion, as my internet will take it 3-4 days to download.
I noticed that this problem arose after I tried to remove MySQL Community Server for Mac, and I removed the App, and all of the pertaining folders/files with Terminal. It could also be a virus, but I am almost positive it is something to do with MySQL. Any way that I can somehow stop System Preferences from freezing. I have already used multiple anti-virus programs to try to get rid of malicious files, and I have tried to repair system permissions numerous times.

I can't see my buddy on iChat, after he/she accepts my request for video chat. What could be the issue? I just started using iChat for the first time and now have the issue of not being able to see my buddy on video chat. My buddy states the same thing, not being able to see me. I am facing issues in network connectivity. I am using a brand new MacBook Air. I am able to use the internet at the staring but once i logged off and log in back I am not able to connect. Signal strength is showing good. I always needed to goto network preferences and diagnose, so it will do the check ups and will show the connection is working properly and i will be able to use the internet. I recently purchased (as in days ago) a refurbished 13" Macbook Pro. I just noticed today that my wireless connection on my Macbook Pro has been losing it's connection about every other 2-3 minutes. I was on iChat with a buddy this morning, and I must have been disconnected and then reconnected about 8 times in 20 minutes. I first thought it must have been a problem with iChat. That said, I have sat here looking at my screen for the past ten minutes, and I have seen the Airport wireless indicator disconnect and then reconnect again at least three times in the past ten minutes.
I have AT&T U-Verse Service, and I am forced to use their provided 2WIRE router. That said, I have had no problems with any other device that uses the wireless connection, from my iPhone to my PS3. I work from home and have my HP laptop literally sitting right next to my Macbook, and it has not disconnected once from the same wireless connection, whereas my Macbook has literally disconnected at least 20 times.
I constantly loss connection to my wifi home connection, have to turn off an on the wifi on my macbook pro (10.7.4)

i've not dealt with wireless network (obviously) and i'm really not sure what is required to get a network setup.
So it was my understanding that all the mac pro motherboards have supported SLI, only that it does not work under OSX. Do you need to have special SLI enabled nvidia cards or would the stock 120GTs work? ie, if you were to purchase it with 4 120GTs would they all work using SLI under windows? Just throwing it out there as I a) don't have the cash to buy 4 and b) I much rather have a fast 4870 that works in both mac and windows.
