Jul 19, 2010I have some video files on an external HD from my old computer with iMovie 08. On my new iMac with iMovie 09, I have opened up one of those video files, or imported it. My question is this: Is there any need to keep the original file from my old computer, or has it now been stored on my new one with iMove 09? I'm thinking if I keep the old one, I am storing it twice. I am backing up my iMac, so that's not an issue. I'm just trying to figure out if I am keeping a "third" copy when it's not really needed.

May 21, 2012I downloaded the new Mac OS X client for Amazon's Cloud Drive service. I double-clicked to launch it, then dragged the app icon over to the Applications folder in order to install it.
Now I see an Amazon Cloud Drive icon on my desktop, but clicking it doesn't take me to a signin screen for my Amazon account, as I would expect, but invites me to drag the app icon over to the Applications folder AGAIN. Starting from the Applications folder and trying to launch it from there gives me the same result.

I would look at Mobile Me but I have circa 50GB of photo's and video's to back up and so there is not enough space.
I have had a look at IDrive which gives 150GB for $5 a month however i'm not sure whether it would affect Time Capsule as it also appears to back up files that have changed.

I have the iTunes View setup as: Show movies in the cloud However all my cloud content (links) has disappeared. I can only see what is physically downloaded. The artwork with the little cloud banner is not there anymore.
