Nov 13, 2009I forgot my password after not needing it for quite some time. I tried to do a reset by pressing the button and then making a new password but I keep getting error messages after verifying the new passwords. The error message was something that airport could not be configured.

Also I have read the Mac website that I need to use the Code: If you don't remember the password and automatic login is turned off, you can reset the administrator password using the Mac OS X User Install disc. Because a user with the Mac OS X install disc can gain unrestricted access to your computer, you should keep the disc in a safe place. To reset the administrator password using the Mac OS X disc:
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc and restart the computer.
2. When you hear the startup tone, hold down the C key until you see the spinning gear.
3. When the Installer appears, choose Utilities > Reset Password.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to change the password.
5. Quit the Installer and restart your computer while holding down the mouse button to eject the disc.
But didn't received any CDs from him so I don't know what version of CD I need it also I am new to macbook so its fully confusing please somebody help me how to reset my password.

May 12, 2012when i update mac os 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 with internet , i stop download and turnof my macbook.and when The next day I was turnon my mabook, After entering the password ُ startup, Few moments later mark apple goes. Instead it a circle appears that the middle of it a line.I tried to get into the environment Safe mood, but i cant.Then I tried to get into EFI environment. But since it was published some have password protection. I published some of my work does not accept any password. Maybe I did not keep the password correctly. i backup my password with my Email or maybe apple id , but by me - but I do not know how can I find the EFI password.

For example, when I got to update the flash player it instead asks me to type your password to allow Install Adobe Flash Player to make changes. It lists my name but for the life of me I dont remember the password (in reality I dont recall setting it up).

Sep 19, 2010This morning I performed a 'Software Update' on my Macbook Pro and 6 new items were updated. The Mac then asked me to restart so I did but when it came back on I logged in as normal but it won't connect to my wifi unless I type in the password. I've tried Utilities > keychain manager but all I get is 'Access to this item is restricted' (when I click on show password and login again). My ipad and iphone are still okay and can access the wifi fine.

Sep 4, 2009I have an airport extreme set up with a wireless network running on N 5ghz. I do not own the newer model which can broadcast both N and G at the same time. I also have 2 airport express systems set up to extend this network. Somehow, my flatmates laptop, which only supports 802.11abg can see the network and even connect! What is going on? There is one other G router in the building which is for our internet, which is wired by ethernet to one of the express.

Jan 1, 2010I bought an Airport Extreme and am trying to set it up. I installed Airport Utility and have my Airport turned on. The problem I'm having is that Airport Utility is saying it can't find any wireless devices. I have the Airport's Internet WAN port connected to my wall's ethernet port and the Airport's status light is solid green. What I want to do is get a wireless signal from the ethernet port on my wall. Everything in the set up guide and everything I find online has to do with setting the Airport up with a DSL or Cable Modem.

Feb 23, 2009I am traveling in southern Chile with my MacBook air. It has OS X operating system Leopard but not sur eof exact version. I had a problem and rebooted machine. It came up in SAFE MODE and asked for a password. I have no idea what my password is. I went on line using another computer and saw that if I have original DVD installation disks I can reboot with them and change password. Two problems with that.
1. I do not have disks
2. Even if I did the MACbook air does not have built in CD ROM port and not sure if my externally plugged in unit would even work if I did have the disks.

Jun 11, 2009I just installed the latest Airport Express update. It has closed down my network, and I can't get internet connection. I have plugged in an ethernet cable to send this message. The machine that the airport is connected to is a pre intel mac mini. I am sending this from my imac. I am able to see my neighbours networks on airport, but mine has disappeared, and I have three machines that usually link, but they can't see each other. I opened airport utility (don't know what it is for really, but am just desperate) to no avail.

Apr 22, 2009I have an application on my desktop that is attached to a webserver updating account that I need to modify the settings for. Problem is, I've forgotten the password and their 'forgot password' thing isn't responding after a few hours. If I could just reveal the password that's saved on the desktop application then I wouldn't have to mess with it. I looked all though Keychain, but it doesn't seem to be anywhere in there. Back in PC days there were tons of applications that could just reveal what was behind the little dots. After about 20 minutes of searching, it seems that the mac world offers no such convenience. Anyone know some other way around this? I mean, it must be stored somewhere on here. The application is remembering the password.
