I'm sending calendar invites from iOS (MacBook Pro, iPhone 5, iPad Air) to a gmail recipient (also with latest MacBook Pro, iPhone 5, and iPad Air), and he's not receiving a link to add to their iOS calendar. He just receives an email. Am I configured wrong, or is he? When he had an exchange calendar, invites went through smoothly.

I have my four main colleagues' google calendars (and my own google calendar) in my Calendar app in OSX Mavericks. Whenever anyone sends all four of us an invite to a meeting, I get four badge counts and alerts for the four calendar accounts that I have set up to view. Is there a way to stop this and only get alerts for a primary google calendar in the mac calendar app?

I don't want that to happen. Why doesn't calendar use the defined, default mail app to send invites ? I'm 99% sure it used to do this too.

IMac late 2009, Os X 10.8.3. 8GB RAM. IPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPad mini. iCloud calendar only. Nothing defined On my Mac.
I sync between the mobile devices and iCloud without problems (Mostly Calendar & Notes). Over the last year I have had occasions when my Mac Calendar failed to update with the message "The server is currently not reachable or the connection was blocked). Sometimes the problem went away and Calendar resumed normal syncing. It has been off-line now for 2 weeks.
I have deleted and recreated the icloud calendar in Calendar >Preferences>Accounts. I have unchecked Calendar in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts&Calendars>iCloud and rechecked it. I have created a Google calendar as a test and it is being imported and displayed by Calendar on my mac.
Apparently I allowed iCloud to delete all of my calendar and reminder information from my Mac.Can I restore it from iCloud, if not can I restore it from Time Machine?

I'm a new MacBook user and have embraced the change, if only my clients did too. Almost all of them are on PCs using Outlook, Lotus Notes or some other mail program. When I send a meeting invite from iCal to them, most of them cannot open the email and cannot accept/decline the meeting. I am not using Entourage and would rather not.

I'm trying to think of a way to mimic Gmail functionality without actually using a Google/ Gmail account. My work email account is an imap account which I would like to use on my Macbook, and also my iPad. The ideal situation would be for all of my folders, inbox, and sent emails to sync as if I were working on the same device.In other words, I would like to write an email from my iPad only to come back to my office and find a copy on my laptop. Is this possible? Is it merely a matter of adding the imap account to my iPad?

Suddenly having problems with sending emails via Mail for Mac. Some, but not all, messages show in the display window as having been sent to the wrong recipient.However, when you click on them, the details shown are correct and they seem to be getting through to the intended address. View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been a OSX Mail user since the beginning, but I am stumped as to how and why all of my messages now (as of a few days ago) have "recipient list not shown: ;" appearing in the Cc Address Field area once I send them.
It happens even if I get rid of the "Cc Address Field" option in my message being sent.
I did not adjust any of the settings prior to this happening, except maybe download an update for Mail. Not sure...

I recently upgraded to Leopard. My boss just informed me that my email signature does not show up when he receives mail from me. When I BCC myself, the signature is there. I have done a short experiment with my friends and about 50% don't see my signature.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy colleague has set up an email account on his macbook pro 10.7 and when he sends an email out the recipients see the email address as glen with one n rather than glenn. so when people reply they send to something that is not there and get a return to sender. This is strange as the sent address in the settings is glenn not glen. Â
This isn't a server issue as it is on his work imac g5 computer and sends correctly. It must be an error when putting the info in but I can't see where. it is an outlook Exchange mail server and not with our company so i can't look at the settings in that.is there a simple way to sort this out or, if not how can I remove the email account, set it up again but retain the old emails?Â
