Feb 2, 2012How do i get programs to not automatically open when i power on my laptop? I tried system preference > General and unchecked the box "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening" that didnt work.

for example, if i am using safari and decide to open itunes the two doesn't overlap. And i want them to overlap. its annoying when im on aim and skype and i have to click the icon every time when someone talks to me. But i can make the applications open overlapping "holding alt/option key and clicking the application at the same time". but this is really annoying.

My friend did this with his laptop and when he after 1-2 years tried using the laptop without the charger he got like 30-60 minutes of battery time. I don't want this to happen to my MBP.

Both the power converter for the Macbook and the wall socket work fine, and so does my battery, but I think that there may just not be enough power. Is there any way to keep charging my laptop? Possibly a product that will produce either enough amperage or voltage to continuously charge my laptop? I'm going to need to be out on my boat for continuous periods of time for a research project.

I used that saved PW and it rejects it!! Consequently, I can't get my mail and I am getting very upset. I can't see how to change that.
