My built-in external mic doesn't record any audio when recording at all with the webcam. I've seen that this problem happens a lot in iMovie and Photo Booth, but my problem is a little unique, in that it doesn't record audio when recording with any program, not just Photo Booth and iMovie. I've tried QuickTime and even YouTube's webcam capture option, to no avail.
However, the most puzzling aspect of this is that I know for a fact that the built in external mic is functional, because I can make video calls from Skype without any problems.
Just want to record voice with my built in iMac microphone...guidance? Eventual goal is to use audio voice track for FCE, but want to lay down an audio track for a placeholder to measure length (time) and make some queues. Garage Band or something else.
Info: iMac 27 i5 Mid 2010, Mac OS X (10.6.8), FCE 4.0.1 Nikon D90
I have a Panasonic DMR-EZ47V recorder and I've converted some of my VHS to DVD+R. They were finalized and are able to play back on the Panasonic machine, but when I put them in my laptop it tells me I have inserted a blank disc. About a year ago the same discs played on my computer just fine, so I don't know what has happened since then. They also play on my Sony Blu-ray player, so I know it's not just the disc or the player. What has happened that now my Macbook is showing the DVDs as blank and what can I do??
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
I'm still new to macs and am wondering what software I can use to record/download streams, I want to record a radio show from a website and am not sure what to use, I know you can use Orbit Downloader on windows but don't know for macs.
This weekend i end up with my father's LG dvd/hdd recorder. What i recall it has 80Gb of hdd. My idea was to connect it to the t.v and the iMac. The iMac part was basicaly to transfer the movies to the LG hdd
This is the model: LG RH7500
And the connections specs:
SCART Connectors: Output x 2 Outputs: Composite x 1, Component x 1, Analog Audio x 1, Digital Audio Coaxial x 1, Digital Audio Optical x 1
Front Panel: Composite Input / S-Video Input / iLINK DV Input
I've been searching the online apple store for cables and saw some, but don't know if this is possible to do, and if it is, what cables i have to buy.
PS: about the dvd/hdd recorder model, i don't know if this is the one, i have to get home to make sure. will post it here later.
PS2: probably many of you will say "- why don't get apple tv, or another multimedia hdd." That's easy, shoooooooort of money lolol, this way i recycle what i have, later i might put a bigger hdd. time will tell.
Heres a site that has a good Mac mouse and keyboard recorder application.[URL]
The 4.0 version and above will record right clicks. You can try their free version or buy a product code to use it without a time limit. There are other Mac based products there to.
The mouse recorder does have problems with its right click for using on safari and other applications.
The site is currently under construction so the downloads are unavailable.
If you have found a better recorder then this one, post here or on this site, I will be looking.
I am looking for advice on a screen recorder program that enables me to capture and store avi files. I have some videos on quicktime that I would like to record and view again.
I am looking for a good quality/fast free screen capture video recorder software for my iMac that I can record things on my screen.
I require a software that is resizable to your specific dimensions that you require recording of.
For example, if you only wanted to capture and record a section in Pages, you would be able to click and drag how much area you wish to record.
I have tried both "Capture Me" and "Copernicus", but I had issues with both. Copernicus seems to let me click and drag the surface area I wish (then nothing else besides a viewfinder preview window pops up), then when I hit record it might record a second or two and then shut off... or maybe that was on Capture Me, I cannot remember right now...
Does anyone have a good video screen capture software? I really liked the Hypercam on Windows, but that had a water mark that needed to be paid to remove...
When I look at Toast settings, it says that there's no recorder.
When I press eject on the keyboard, it doesn't.
But when I press alt, command ... I and O (on restart) it opens.
If I need to reinstall the DVD driver, how do I do this please? (Because I inherited this Mac from my previous company; and don't have any software cds).
I have an Olympus voice recorder that said it would work on my Mac but it doesn't. So I use it on a pc. But my iTunes is on my Mac and I'd really like to get a recording off of the recorder and into iTunes. I tried mailing the recording from a pc, opening and downloading it on my Mac but it comes up as garbled text.
I recently bought an LG HD Recorder. After the purchase, I only then realised that it is only connectable to PC via a software called "Nero Media Home 4 Essentials". Therefore this software cannot be used on a Mac. I wrote to LG and theyconfirmed that it is only for PC and they do not intend to issue one that is to be used for Mac. It would be awesome to be able to connect Mac with the HD Recorder, as I can then stream music from iTunes etc. As such I am not able to fully use this incredible piece of equipment.
I have searched for this, but cannot find any.. I need to do some raw mouseclicks on certain coordinates on the screen, and then loop it forever until I stop it. Anyone know any programs that can do this?
I tried to fiddle around with apple script, but can't figure out how to do that.
Here's my disc Burning info: Firmware Revision:DB09 Interconnect:ATAPI Burn Support:Yes (Apple Shipping Drive) Cache:0 KB Reads DVD:Yes CD-Write:-R, -RW DVD-Write:-R, -RW Write Strategies:CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO Media:Insert media and refresh to show available burn speeds I'm not sure but do I have I got a DL burner? I've tried Verbatim DL discs but the recorder spits them out midway through. Is the brand the problem or is it the burner?
I have a humax hd recorder hd5050 and would like to store a recorded video on my imac. I can connect the humax recorder with my router via a cable. My imac has a wireless connection. Do I need a special program on my imac?
I have an old 4-track tape recorder with 4 outputs, which I would like to connect to a Mac and import all 4 tracks at once to GarageBand for editing. I've seen USB adapters that have two RCA inputs, and am thinking that if I purchased and connected 2 of these adapters, I would be able to run them simultaneously.
I tried to burn a photo cd with the burn folder, but the blank media disc does not mount on the desktop after I insert the blank cd. The computer doesn't know there is a blank media disc in the drive and won't even eject it. I have to reboot the computer for the Imac to spit it out.
I really want to be able to connect video recorder to imac and be able to edit footage and make more presentable then burn DVDs. What cables and or software do I need?
I am trying to record something on my desktop and I recorded it with an application called iscreen recorder lite. I downloaded it off of the application store thinking it would save under a file my computer would recognize. When I tried to play the recording back again, my computer tells me it cannot read the file and I should see if the formatting is right. I checked and the file is under .mov which should be supported by mac
today i'm setting off on an ambitious undertaking, building a wireless 3g modem (on the at&t network of course) that would fit into the MacBook airport card slot and act in place of it, therein giving me 3g internet signal anywhere i go. Only problem is, i have no idea how to do this, i was hoping you guys might be able to help
Every time I try to use my build in camera on my Macbook the green light that says its working comes on but the screen just shows up black. It just started working 2 days ago and Ive been using it on iChat but now when I try to use it it goes back to the black screen.
My Black Macbook's (2.16GHz Core 2 Duo) in-built audio has suddenly stopped working. There is no 'Dong' at the startup. In the system profiler under the 'Audio (Built In)' tab it says that there is 'No Built-In Audio'. I can't change the volume or anything and in system prefs under sound is says no output devices are found. Has my soundcard fried? Is there anyway of replacing it fairly cheaply? My macbook is out of warenty unfortuantly! Is the only other option buying a cheap USB soundcard ? If so does anyone know of any slimline ones that would work?
