I have OSX version 10.6.8. When I run software update, it tells me my software is up to date. On my other Macbook Pro, I have 10.9.4. I realize that I will have to run a series of updates to get from 10.6 to 10.9 but why won't software update allow me to update to the next OS version in the sequence?

I have been using Gmail and now want to make use of IMAIL on my new mac book. First Mac I have had. HOwever, all the inbox folders I have in gmail are reproduced in IMAIL. I have set it up as IMAP ok and have followed every instruction on both apple sites and on gmail sites. No success. Do these folders not get set up automatically in IMAIL?

I've tried this software update multiple times and now I find out that I can't extend my AppleCare warranty after it expires. I just imported some photos into IPhoto 09 and shortly afterwards my IMac did a hard shut down. Now when I open IPhoto I get the following error:
The Photo Library nees to be upgraded to work with this version of IPhoto.

I'm operating on a MacBook Air that i recently updated to OS X 10.9.2. Along with the update, Java 7 was installed. I need to have Java 6 Update 20 installed to use some programs on this computer for work. I've gotten the files to install that update, but when I attempt to do so I receive a message stating that I cannot install on my disk. A newer version is already installed.
I've gone into finder > Go to Folder and deleted the Java folder after uninstalling java in the first place. This has not fixed my issue.
How many others are having issues with their applications opening up much, much slower (example Bento taking a min as compared to seconds before applying the patch) since the last OSX Security Update.

When I try to update my web site (on mobileme), it builds all of the pages and then gives an unknown error and fails. I also can't use the file menu/visit site, which indicates to me that it doesn't recognize my domain as the same site.
