Safari Crashes.

My macbook, version 10.5.8, started crashing today. There was an update for Adobe Flash Update that popped up earlier today (I think it wanted to install a debugger), I X'd it out because I was doing something else (bad mistake), and now Safari crashes continuously every time I log in. I've tried to download things to my laptop to fix the problem, but Safari crashes before the download can even get halfway through. I've even tried to find the flash update for earlier, but either I can't find it or Safari doesn't stay open long enough for the update to download. The strange thing is, this is only happening on one account on my laptop– the one where the Adobe Flash Update popped up on. The other account on my laptop has Safari working fine (but it's not the account I want to use). Â

View 2 Replies View RelatedToday I was running iTunes, editing play lists, syncing them to one of 4 iPods registered to this iMac/iTunes version. 6 hours later, iMac still in same configuration, I left the desk and my son began using iMac choosing a different song on iTunes, logged on Firefox and connected his iPod (one of the 4 registered). The iTunes application froze. He called me and after seeing it crashed, I right clicked on the iTunes dock icon and force quit the application. I restarted the iMac and after it rebooted I clicked the iTunes icon and iTunes opened without our music libraries, just as it was when I ran iTunes the first time when the iMac was brand new. The top banner says, "iTunes1".

I've had my macbook since April, and I love it. I have had very minimal problems and it's done me well. But, today while watching a flash video(Megavideo) on safari, it crashed. I got the beachball and had to force quit. I thought, oh no big deal but then i went back and reopened safari and it happened again, then again when i went to search for something. I initially thought it had to do with Flash Player, but then it happened with no video involved.

When I'm running mail rules on my Exchange account in Outlook 2011, the app continually crashes. I've tried finding the offending mail rule, but the issue doesn't seem to associate with any single rule: it just appears to be an issue running Exchange-based rules (as opposed to local IMAP/POP rules).
When I turned off all my Excahnge-based rules, Outlook became stable. This also appears to be a carry over issue from Entourage 2008, where I began having the same problem, just before I updated.

Safari crashes randomly on 10.7. Sometimes right away, sometimes after a bit. Tried deleting app and supporting files. No luck. Using macbook pro 17", 10.7, latest version of Safari.

Running OS X (10.9.3) and Safari 7.0.4. Can't print pdf files from Safari and sometimes can't download them either (error says they are corrupted) but I can download from a windows laptop. I found something online about disabling a pdf plug-in, but it was for Lion, so not sure if it's still the correct fix. Also, how to uninstall a plug-in unless you provide exact locations of where the plug-ins are stored.

I'm afraid I'm new to Mac's and I've not had any luck finding what I'm after using the search function. My wife's macbook has recently completed a download and install of the latest Safari (4) and now every time we connect to the net it stays connected for about 10 seconds and then crashes. I receive a message window saying safari quit unexpectedly and offers me options to close, report or reopen safari. I'm useless at diagnosing problems.

In upgraded to Safari 5.1.4 last night. Now I have multiple crashes in web inspector. I want to look at the history.state object in the console, so I type history the the period and web inspector crashes.I was debugging some javascript and part way through, web inspector crashes. Web inspector did not do this with 5.1.3. Being new to the Mac world. I have a MacBook Pro and would like to revert back to Safari 5.1.3 so I can complete my project. Does anyone know how I can revert to the previous version of Safari? I am unable to do my work.

I downloaded the beta of Safari 5.2 because I was curious, and then I uninstalled it with Appzapper. I reinstalled the current version of Safari (5.1.7) without troubles, but now when I launch it, Safari crashes and it says that Safari quitted unexpectedly. Here is the entire crash log.

I'm new to MacBook Pro (life long PC user) and need help with Safari.
Problem Description:
Safari closes right after opening, error message states that thread 3 crashed. Below is the error message:

Have a unibody 17" i7 MBP and get the screen corruption primarily when running Safari 5.0 (whatever the newest build is). Interestingly enough I run a program called gxfCardStatus and if I choose Nvidia rather than Intel (or Auto which = Intel) the corruption goes away. If I choose Intel again the corruption is back. Not sure if this is a hardware issue or just a serious bug introduced by Safari 5.0. I don't remember having the problem before upgrading.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince installing Lion on my Macbook pro, my safari is running very slow.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X, Version 10.6.8 and Safari has started running really slowly, all of a sudden. I've tried Firefox and Google Chrome, which run faster, but not much. Wi-Fi has been checked and is not the problem. I've emptied my cache and reset Safari. My disc usage is 15%, my system memory says that I have 2.35 GB of free space, and there are no "page outs". All of the programs, on my computer, that do not require internet access run fine. My firewall is off.

My Safari browser has been running slow since upgrading to Mavericks last fall. Some webpages (Facebook, USAA) won't even fully load, while others load fine. I've read a lot of the other posts about slow Safari and I've tried the other tricks that people have posted (Changing DNS to the Google one, using "Reset" on Safari, turning off extensions and plug-ins) I finally downloaded Chrome and it's just as fast as my safari "used" to be. So it can't be the internet connection because both my phone/iPad browsers are super fast and my MacBook Pro's Chrome is super fast. I just want to go back to using Safari!Â

just quickly to see if this is a widespread bug in Safari 3.2.1 if you click on the "Info" tab of a friend's profile or even your own and then click back on the "Wall" tab does Safari crash?
ive just sent a crash support and it would be really great if we get heaps of people sending one if its a widespread issue to squash this bug.
Any one else find 321 crashes A LOT?
It seems to hang and the only way to get out if force quit and even then it hangs before it quits.
Its fine on my MacBook but PMG5 is getting annoying. I have always been a Safari fan but I'm thinking about installing Firefox. Which for me is a giant friggin leap.
I am running Safari 5.0.1 on both my MacPro (OS 10.5.11) and my new MacBook Pro (new 2010 model w/ OS 10.6.4). Both Safari's have extensions loaded:MacPro: Reload Button, Amazon Search Bar, PageSaver, The New York TimesMacBookPro: Reload Button, Amazon Search BarSafari on my MacPro seems to be running fine. On my MacBookPro, I am experiencing slow downs, automatic quits and crashes.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just installed Safari 4.1 for Tiger, and it crashes every time I try to open it. I tried removing the input manager software that I had added, but that did not help. Is Smart Crash Reports a normal part of Safari, or should I remove that as well? Is there any way to reinstall Safari 4.0.5? Would deleting Safari from the Applications directory make it possible to reinstall 4.0.5?
