May 3, 2010I just jailbroke my iPhone 3GS and installed MyWi to work with my iPad. I also tried it on my MacBook Pro using Bluetooth. After I paired my iPhone and MacbBook Pro together everything worked fine. Now under the Airport Menu I see a separate category labeled "Devices" which is just below where my Home Network is.
My questions is how do I go about deleting this? I've tried everything. I deleted my device under Bluetooth Preferences, quit MyWi, messed around with the Network Preferences and it still appears under the Airport Menu. I even clicked connect but of course that doesn't work since I quit everything and deleted the device in Bluetooth settings. It's not even listed under "Preferred Networks" when you click on the advanced tab. It appears as "(my last name) Hotspot" and is under a tab labeled "Devices"

Dec 11, 2008I've been looking for a nice way to synchronize MySQL databases in a quick and easy way on the Mac, but so far I haven't found any good options.
Since I'm doing my development locally on both my iMac and my MacBook I'd like to be able to sync the site I'm working on with a click of a button.
There are very nice file syncing tools available (I'm currently using Synk Standard), but as far as MySQL syncing (two-way) goes the only one I've found is Navicat.
While Navicat works great they have for some reason not made it possible to access from the command line in the mac version, which means that I can't run the db sync automatically when I run the file sync.
I've tried UI scripting but it just won't work reliably (it clicks in the wrong places all of the time).
So do you know about any good MySQL syncing tools, that sync in both directions and are scriptable?

Mar 25, 2012I have tried to sinchronize the Contacts in my iMac, but it doesn´t work. I have linked my iMac to iCloud. When I go to iCloud directly through Internet, I can see the "Contacts" I haver in iCloud. I have 6,624 contacts. The list of contactas can be seen in both iCliud and on my Mac. But when I add new contacts in my iMac (today I added 4), it doesn´t synchronize. The new contacts do not appear in the Cloud. How can I establish a good link so synchronization can effectively take place?

May 1, 2012My iphone (4) does not synch with itunes (10.6 (7), although it is recognized and displayed. when I activate the "sync"-command, itunes says "waiting for iphone to synchronize until it times out. After resetting the phone, which worked, I used the last backup (which worked), but all my 3rd-party apps are now gone. Disabling all media-sync did not work. It is to say that I have 2 apple-accounts, an old one, with which I made all media- and app-purchases, and a newer me.com account, which I use to sync my data (mail, address-book, ical) through icloud. I suspect this dual apple-ID-thing to be the problem, is that so? As far as I know, there is no possibility to update an app from the old registration-ID to the newer one?

May 1, 2010I don't think the IR receiver at the front of my MBP will be used, seeing as I'm not looking into buying an apple remote anytime soon. However, I was wondering if there was any software out there that would let me use it with other devices.
One specific thing i was wondering was if there was any way of accessing the IR receiver in boot camp Windows 7 to receive signals from an Xbox 360 controller (without the USB receiver attachment sold by MS)
