Feb 16, 2012First I signed in with the wrong Apple ID. Now I'm actually logged into iCloud with the same Apple ID on both my Mac and my iPhone. Parenthetically, I would like to wonder out loud how synchronization of addresses, calendar items and notes ever happened before, with mismatched Apple IDs.Â
The problem is that I don't see that the iMessages I send in Messages on the Mac are mirrored in Messages on my iPhone. It makes me wonder, whether this is beta behavior or whether I still don't have everything configured correctly.

Jun 1, 2014I recently upgraded to Mavericks (10.9.3) and iMessages no longer sync between my iPhone and my Mac Pro. I've checked the Support data base as well as Google and have followed the recommendations to check preferences on all devices and to restart all devices, but that doesn't seem to have solved the problem. Messages being sent from my iPhone 4S simply don't show up on my Mac.

May 1, 2012My iphone (4) does not synch with itunes (10.6 (7), although it is recognized and displayed. when I activate the "sync"-command, itunes says "waiting for iphone to synchronize until it times out. After resetting the phone, which worked, I used the last backup (which worked), but all my 3rd-party apps are now gone. Disabling all media-sync did not work. It is to say that I have 2 apple-accounts, an old one, with which I made all media- and app-purchases, and a newer me.com account, which I use to sync my data (mail, address-book, ical) through icloud. I suspect this dual apple-ID-thing to be the problem, is that so? As far as I know, there is no possibility to update an app from the old registration-ID to the newer one?

May 14, 2012I have recently found out about imessage for my macbook and have downloaded it from the apple website. However, I cannot use it because I do not have version 10.7? I have looked under "About this Mac" and apparently I have version 10.6.8. Is there no version of imessages that is compatible with my existing version? And if I have to have version 10.7 does that mean I have to purchase Mac OS X Lion?

Jun 19, 2014I recently got a 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina Display (The Lastest Model) which is registered with iMessage. I got this laptop about 10 weeks ago and all 10 weeks the iMessages has been able to send and receive messages very quickly. I don't know what happened, but a few hours ago my MacBook just crashed trying to open iMessages and it wouldn't turn on for 3 hours and it was burning. I don't see why it dashed because this Mac has 512 GB of storage, a 2.6 GHz dual-core Intel i5 with 8 GB of Ram. It is a 13.3" Model running on OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 and is pretty much brand new. I have been keeping track of how many times the iMessages app crashes and how many times I force quit it...Â

Dec 5, 2014I am getting this message when I try to open the "messages" on my macbook pro: "An internal Messages error occurred." It doesn't give me anymore information and tells me I have to quit the program and restart. I do so and still get the same response. I have updated to the latest version of Yosemite and restarted the computer. This is a new issue that just arose today when I turned on my computer. I have been using messages, including the new text forwarding feature flawlessly since Yosemite's release and even before that for iMessages with mavericks.

Dec 11, 2008I've been looking for a nice way to synchronize MySQL databases in a quick and easy way on the Mac, but so far I haven't found any good options.
Since I'm doing my development locally on both my iMac and my MacBook I'd like to be able to sync the site I'm working on with a click of a button.
There are very nice file syncing tools available (I'm currently using Synk Standard), but as far as MySQL syncing (two-way) goes the only one I've found is Navicat.
While Navicat works great they have for some reason not made it possible to access from the command line in the mac version, which means that I can't run the db sync automatically when I run the file sync.
I've tried UI scripting but it just won't work reliably (it clicks in the wrong places all of the time).
So do you know about any good MySQL syncing tools, that sync in both directions and are scriptable?

Mar 25, 2012I have tried to sinchronize the Contacts in my iMac, but it doesn´t work. I have linked my iMac to iCloud. When I go to iCloud directly through Internet, I can see the "Contacts" I haver in iCloud. I have 6,624 contacts. The list of contactas can be seen in both iCliud and on my Mac. But when I add new contacts in my iMac (today I added 4), it doesn´t synchronize. The new contacts do not appear in the Cloud. How can I establish a good link so synchronization can effectively take place?
