View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iphone (4) does not synch with itunes (10.6 (7), although it is recognized and displayed. when I activate the "sync"-command, itunes says "waiting for iphone to synchronize until it times out. After resetting the phone, which worked, I used the last backup (which worked), but all my 3rd-party apps are now gone. Disabling all media-sync did not work. It is to say that I have 2 apple-accounts, an old one, with which I made all media- and app-purchases, and a newer me.com account, which I use to sync my data (mail, address-book, ical) through icloud. I suspect this dual apple-ID-thing to be the problem, is that so? As far as I know, there is no possibility to update an app from the old registration-ID to the newer one?

I unfortunately lost my whole itunes library that was on an external hard drive. I was able to download my music and apps stored in icloud. I just bought a new Macbook Pro and I cannot get my IPhone 4S to sync with itunes without deleting more than half of my data. I can't add music to my iPhone 4s using iTunes on Macbook Pro. I can add the music to my iTunes library though. When I drag the music to the iPhone, it just kicks it back out. About a week ago now, I purchased a MacBook Air and am now using this instead of my old laptop. But I am having trouble syncing everything, I'm clearly doing something wrong but I can't work out what it is. I have plugged my iPhone into the MacBook and I understand that pressing sync simply won't work, as it will try and put everything from this iTunes onto my iphone, thereby removing my iPhone stuff. I was told to click "Check for available downloads" but this just tries to download one silly app I got ages ago - nothing since then. It will just list this one download.The way I had imagined it would work, is that I press "Check for available downloads", this would bring everything to iTunes and then I can sync but obviously this is not the case.
