MacBook Pro :: Photoshop Incompatible With Mac Folders?
Mar 21, 2012
My Photoshop CS5 does not like it if I move image files into folders generated on my Mac Book Pro it is only with the HDR & Merge features. If I do not have image files inside the folder generated by my
I am having a problem with Photoshop Elements 8. The software will not open on my iMac for it says that I am missing applications or something around that ballpark. Once I come home from my gf's house I will be able to give you guys/girls the exact message I get when trying to open PSE8. I do not know if the PSE8 is compatible with my current iMac due to its model/year/specs etc. I purchased my iMac around the year of late 2006 early 2007. Should PSE8 be compatible with my iMac or not?
I believe it should, but yet I do not know the reason why it will not open. I recently purchased the Bamboo Pen & Touch for my gf and it came with the PSE8 software. I Installed the PSE8 on her iMac (Which she purchased the Black Friday that passed.) But before installing the PSE8 on the iMac, the Bamboo installer was installed first. Maybe I need to install the Bamboo installer before installing the PSE8 software that was included with the Tablet product?
Initially My macbook pro 13" was working with Sharp 32" display in mirror display with closed lid, after ward I change the resolution to 480p , then TV screen is black now with a message incompatible output format. How to change back to original resolution
Just doing some pre-SL install research. I'm curious about running the kernel in 64-bit mode. I have a mid 2009 13" MBP so the hardware should be able to boot into the 64-bit kernel. I don't use a whole ton of 3rd party applications and not many external peripherals so I think I might be able to get away with k64.
But, is there a way for me to check for sure? How do I know if certain apps or peripherals/extensions are not 64-bit? If I click on the apps and use "Get Info" will that tell me? Perhaps there is a list somewhere similar to the SL compatibility wiki that tells people's experiences with 64-bit compatibility. What if I boot into k64 and try to run an incompatible item, will the OS tell me so, or just crash, or just not work, or what?
As far as peripherals: iPod touch 2G Mighty Mouse (bluetooth) i1 Display2 colorimeter Dell 2209WA Ruahrc
The only reason I haven't switched from Firefox to Safari yet is because I check some Arabic news websites, and they seem to be incompatible with Safari or something. I attached screencaps of what they look like (Al-Jazeera, Al-Arabiya) As you can see, the text is out of place. It really is an eyesore.
I have had a look at previous Q & A and am satisfied that 1.5 GB ram is fine in the eMac however i would like to know what the symptoms would be if there was memory incompatibility.Â
There is a long story , here is the short version.... Basically things went into a frenzy, wouldn't even shut down. The (additional) memory wasn't put in at my place and the computer also had updates done by the other person, when it came back it was unbelievable.. and worrying... my son refitted the 2 sticks that were in it, still frenzy, thought it was wrecked, looked up book, did safe boot. after angonising minutes everything came back.
Gathered courage and we re installed the (new) 1gb alongside incumbent 512 and now things seem ok.Â
I don't believe the ram is /was faulty so something else went on.Â
The sticks that are in the machine are  512gb DDR SDRam PC3200U 30440 ( this was one of a matched pair)
1 gb  DDR SDRam PC 3200U 30330 ( this is the new one)Â
I felt i bought the 1gb carefully to be compatible. I do see there is a difference in the last number.Â

I "wrongly" installed Motorola Device Manger related to my phone but Yosemite doesn't like it. I believe it runs in the background and doesn't appear in applications. How can I uninstall it?
I have folders apperaing in all of my documents folders. I can not click on them. They are typically called "folders," "PDF Documents," & "Speadsheets"Â
Anyone else run into this? I can not delete of use.
I decided I had enough of Mail's 'misdemeanors' and completed erased every trace from my hard drive. The application, my messages, the preference files, the cache et al, only to realize my poor anger management. I use Snow Leopard 10.6.2, with Mail 4.2 configured on a Gmail IMAP account. I tried reinstalling mail using Pacifist, but the version provided in my installer disk being Mail 4.0, I learned that it's incompatible with the 10.6.2 updated version. I suppose there are no updates available for Mail specifically. In a wild goose chase, I ran software update in a bid to update ver. 4.0 to ver. 4.2, but to no avail. What should I do now? How do I this goddamn Mail working back again?
I have many years of accounting on quicken and now I find I can't do this year's tax. Has anyone found a way to make quicken work or another program that will use the quicken data?
I am not able to open FCP X on my iMac which is running on mac os x version 10.5.8.I have tried to update the version to see if there is any new versions, but apple update says there is no new updates.I am able to install the trial version without a problem. Open it, drag the app to the applications folder. But its only when I try to open it, it gives me the error. Also there is a circle with a slash on the Final Cut Pro X app icon to show that it is not compatible. Is there any way I can get it to work. I used to have Final Cut Pro working on this before without a problem, however deleted as I found it a bit difficult to learn. But I have seen the features for Final Cut Pro X which is so much easier and really would like to give it a try.
I have a Mac Mini, and recently I buy a television by Sony 3d (46"). For my surprise, the television don't accept the signal from Mac Mini. On the screen appears the message (Signal Incompatible). I change all configurations, but nothing. I call to Sony and they don't have idea about the problem.
I recently updated to Snow Leopard. The transition went very well except for one thing. When I try to open up Photo Booth, it says that it is not compatible with this version of Mac OS X (10.6.1). It also states that it is Photo Booth 2.0.3. Just to let you know, I do not have the backup CD's at the moment.
I downloaded and installed a Safari Toolbar. However, it is incompatible with my version of safari, and I just get a message every time I boot safari that It cannot work. How do I uninstall it?
I did a dick head move and downloaded effects for photo booth. The reason why it's a dick head move was because I didn't realize that the effects was for photo booth 2.1.1 and I'm running 3.0.2. Now my default effect quality is terrible and you cant hardly take a "good" picture. Is there any way I can remove the new effects and get my regular back to the way it is suppose to be?
I have an iPhoto that can't run and shows this message. What should I do? I had Aperture before, but I deleted it. Now iPhoto shows some error. I get error message: iPhoto can not run due to an incompatible version of ProKit on this system. What should I do?
Have just installed 10.7.4. Now, I finally have to hose PPC (and even some hangover Classic) applications. I know, I know, I should have done it earlier, before even Snow Leopard. For me, the easiest place to ID them is in ABOUT THIS MAC ➜ MORE INFO ➜ SYSTEM REPORT ➜ SOFTWARE ➜ APPLICATIONS ➜ which in the sub categories of CLASSIC and PPC are rosters of > 250 items. How to trash them from this window? Or elsewhere? I’ve tried click-and-drag (both singly and by batch) delete (both singly and by batch), all unsuccessfully.

I do a lot of machine embroidery. In moving from a PC to Mac, I've learned that none of my current embroidery software is compatible with Apple OS. I'm happy to maintain those programs on a Windows laptop, but would really like to be able to view my designs on the Mac Mini. The files are *.pes. Is there any way to convert them to a Mac compatible format?
Info: Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.3), New to Apple...sort of
Adobe recommends downgrading from Safari 5.1.7 as this version will not open pdfs in Snow Leopard. Where can I find downloads of older (pre 5.1.7) versions of Safari? The apple site keeps forcing me to the download for the most recent 5.1.7 version.
I bought a Seagate Free Agent Go Flex External drive. I transferred all my files from my previous external HD. When I went to access my folders on my external HD, the folders are all locked, with Sharing and Permission section in the Information "Everyone: Read" only! I can't change any of the information or move things! All of them are locked and "read only." I know how to change it, but only manually, individually. I have several hundreds of folders and I don't want to manually change all of them to "Read & Write." Is their a way to let me re-set the folders to "Read & Write" easily??
I've set some share folders, from windows xp I can open the folders (even create files) and see the child folders but when I try to open them I get access denied.
I'm using snow leopard 10.6 on a mac mini, can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this?
I have a question for the the Safari geeks out here (1.1.1 version 100.1, running on MacOSX 10.3.2): I have imported my bookmarks from a Mozilla install on a Linux box, based on a hint I found here with the debug options (worked great!!!), and I have the following questions related to adding a new bookmark (based on the fact that my bookmarks are organized in multi-level folders, e.g. OperatingSystems->Linux->Security->Firewall, etc.):
- when opening Bookmarks->Add bookmark ..., how could I possibly collapse all the levels, so that I can easily scroll, and open/drill down into the appropriate level of bookmarks, without having to scroll thrrough all (by default) expanded levels? ... especially critical as some sub-categories may match names, with different higher level bookmarks, thus having to make sure I am where I want to be (e.g. I have a Security folder under OS->Mac, as I have one under OS->Linux, and I have to remember which one I am under, if the "parent" is out of the scrolling window);
- is there any easy way to add a new "level/folder", through Bookmarks->Add bookmark, at the time of salvaging a new one, vs. having to open the Bookmarks in a new window, adding the folder, then returning to add the new bookmark?
I hope the above makes sense ... I am probably hopeful - also - that people may have already run into this before
Is there a way to create folders on one iPad and sync the folders to multiple iPads? I have 23 iPads and I want to have all the folders match for easier access for students.
I have 4 drives on my mac pro and tons of folders, some with sub folders. I need a searchable listing of all folders and sub folders to consolidate, re-organize, etc. I don't mind buying a utility but would like something that can do all of the above and either let me search and organize the list or let me dump it into Excel.Â
My Applications and Documents folder on my dock dont seem to have the folders with there symbols on it, they seem to other material. How can I get them to show the folders. Im running on Snow Leopard!
