Apr 13, 2012Have just downloaded "The Beatles Yellow Submarine" Free book from iTunes (It has been waiting to download for ages) But, now it is downloaded and showing under Books I find it is impossible to open/view/enjoy the book. Is it not possible to view books on my MacBook Pro? and if the answer is no, then why was it offered to me via iTunes. I do not want to use books on my iPod touch which is 1st generation anyway or even my older iPod video. Surely it must be possible to open the book on my MacBook Pro (mid-2009).

Mar 22, 2007My Macintosh address book does not open. After I click it on the task bar it bounces once and that's it. I've also deleted the icon from the task bar and tried launching it from the applications folder, but I get the same response.
When I open up Mail and click on the address book while composing a message, I can see the entries.

Nov 21, 2003i'm running 10.8 on the last of the g3 powerbooks, and when i try to open address book, either from mail, or in the finder, it crashes without opening. this happenned with 10.6, and updating to 10.8 has made no difference.

Mar 5, 2012My Address Book won't open on my IMAC- It worked this morning but I must have hit something to hide. I tried right click on icon and have tried - show all windows, Options, Hide and Quit. When I click "show all windows" the last address I was viewing pops-up, but once I click on the window, it immediatly disappears.

Apr 18, 2012I can't open my address book. Whe I click on it and the menu bar on the top changes to address book but nothing shows on my screen. If I right click and choose "show all windows" then it appears but disappears when I try to click on it to use it. Jul 24, 2008my address book does not open or work (don't think it ever has but I never tried). I select it from the applications menu directly but it just appears like blink and then it's gone. I can't save any new ichat buddies or do much of anything.
I'm not a newbie but I've never had this kind of problem before.
Thinking about getting mobileme but it will be useless without address book.

MacBook Air :: Transferring Address Book Contacts And ITunes Playlists
Nov 2, 2010Ok so I got my new MBA which I'm typing on right now and I love it (I need to update my sig...). I got my most important data over, but all I need are my address book contacts and iTunes playlists and song/movie/tv show ratings.
I copied my contacts from Application Support under Libraries. They are under Address Book in the folders "Metadata" and "Images". All the things in Metadata seem to be vCards, but when I double click one to open it, it just opens Address Book and nothing happens.
Also, when I transferred my iTunes stuff over, everything's perfect except I'm missing all my song and album ratings (488 albums and 4226 songs, all hand-rated). I'm also missing my playlists which are VERY important.
I have a backup of my whole hard drive from my MBP so I should be able to access these files, but does anyone know how or where? I copied over my whole music folder in Finder and I'm still missing my playlists and ratings
