I am taking screen shots using both Apple+Shift+3, Apple+Shift+4, and SnapNDrag, and the same results turn up each time.

The pre-dominantly purple color is the same purple as my wallpaper. The rest of the stuff (the white lines, the gray on the left)-- I have no idea.
How do I disable pop up blocker?

A popup blocker may be preventing the application from opening the page. If you have a popup blocker, try disabling it to open the window.
Keep getting this message. tried disabling popup blocker but not getting through.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my MacBook screen. Everytime I try to turn on the MacBook, the blue screen appears for a second and then everything gets dark (but I can see that the computer turned on normally, it's just the screen that gets almost black, without light). Sometimes only the right side of the screen is blue and then gets dark just like the left one. I was looking for the problem and I perceived that the left side seems to be loose and I can't fix it. What should I do?

I'm currently using utorrent as my p2p application and was told by a friend that I should be using an IP blocker like PeerBlocker to block certain IP's that track what you are downloading.
He is actually a Windows user and after a quick google search I have found that PeerBlocker is not available to mac users. As a result I have downloaded Peer Guardian and have to say I'm totally confused as to how to use it and what "lists" I need to have setup.
I often find a random safari window showing some advert or something and have worked out that it's imdb.com - go there and browse and it craftily opens a window behind the active one.
Does that mean my pop-up blocker doesn't work?
good Flash blocker for Safari?I've done a few searches and can't seem to find anything. The best I could find was ClickToFlash, but no matter what I do it refuses to install.

Firefox has been my main browser b/c Safari 4 was slower for me and also no Noscript. Safari 5 though is noticable faster for me and I'd like to go back. Malicious javascript is still a concern, even if remote. I use clicktoflash, but that only blocks flash. Is there a plugin or extension that will block javascript on a page unless I allow it or whitelist it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have had a few Safari extensions running now and have had no problems. But I went to check out the Safari Ad Blocker one and got it downloaded, but every time I double click to install it opens a new window and re-downloads its self again and doesn't install? Any one else seen this or know what the problem is?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to read news sites and my eye is distracted by things bouncing around in adverts. It's even worse when they're playing obnoxious sounds until you click the mute button in them. Therefore I just thought I'd let people know about this wonderful piece of software. I've seen it mentioned a few times here but even if this thread only helps a few people I think it'll be worth it:[URL]Not only does it hide these horrific insults to humanity (ok a bit strong perhaps), it actually prevents them loading, therefore your pages load quicker! And it's completely unobtrusive! If you want to watch flash file, simply click on in.

Appears Java is not installed on my MacBook Pro. How can I verify this? If not installed where do I go to get the proper download? I have a late 2011 Mac OS X version 10.7.3.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a MacBook Pro, purchased in 2008, running Lion 10.7.4. My problem is that my cursor is jumping all over the place, will occasionally block out a section of text and then erase it, or the cursor will jump up to other points in my text, having me type into words already formed!! It has been a struggle to type this little bit of information. Tried restarting and zapping PRAM. Not sure what else to do. HELP. Is it on the way out?

Why is it that every time I open an application, skype for example, a new icon appears on my desktop? But it looks like a hard drive.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just burned 3-4 dvds and when trying to burn the last one my Macbook wouldn't recognize it- when inserted the blank DVD no icon appears on desktop- and after a few minutes, it ejects.
I tried a few different dvds to be sure it wasn't one faulty one. Also restarted the computer and also reset the System preferences for CD/DVD.
A few months ago, I bought a macbook pro and it was doing fine. But recently, every time it starts, a blue screen appears for a split second then it goes to log- in. Then, every time I shutdown, it will also show up for a split second then shutdown. It doesn't affect the computer but I'm just wondering how to stop it.

all About 20mins ago a shortcut appeared in my Finder sidebar, for something called Untitled CD. Instead of having an eject button next to it, like an actual cd would have, this has a black and yellow wheel next to it. This is of particular annoyance to me, as i am now unable to burn any CD's. Instead a message pops up saying burn is currently in use by another program. I have tried everything to delete it, but it just wont go! Whats more interesting is that I have a macbook air, and the icon appears even when my external dvd drive isn't plugged in.

I have a message that pops up and disappears before I can get a chance to read it. I figured it may be an issue with an application since MS office 11 is installed and was running at the times also, before a reminder pops up a message appears. I fear there may be a potential issue with the OS or an application.
