when setting up an account in apple / mac mail below are my configs: Â [URL]
now i need to configure 3 accounts with these details and also be able to send out email with same account. It was working before when i had the same settings on my earlier pop server as the outgoing server but now this is not allowing me 2 add the other 2 accounts for outgoing. Says same server name so stays offline.

I am running mac os X version 10.5.8 and I find that mail will download not all my mail and will not send from any of my mailboxes.
I have set up mail with my googlemail account my mobileme account and my yahoo accounts. all are set up as stp and I have set them up according to all the online help lines. I have had mail set up for many months now, and have been trying to fix this problem for a long time now off and on.
One thing that I have tried is changing the outgoing port number from the default to 587, but still no joy.
I have Iphone 5 (IOS 7.0.4) and MacBook Pro running OS X, Mountain Lion, Version 10.8.5. I want my iPhone SMSs to be sent and received through my computer because sometimes it is difficult to run an SMS chat with tiny keyboard of iPhone instead better doing it with my computer keyboard. I opened my computer's Messages/ Preferences/Accounts, tried a lot to configure my phone number and build the bridge to send and receive SMSs from my computer instead of iPhone, but unfortunately couldn't find the proper steps to do it.

Hey I just picked up the new AEBS and so far I'm liking it. I have istat menus installed and have the network activity showing and since connecting to my AEBS, I am constantly sending 0.1k/sec and receiving 0.3k/sec. Anyone happen to know why? It's happening on my laptop and iMac so I'm sure it's supposed to happen but the OCD in me has to know why lol. Seems like the AEBS keeps sending out data to my modem too because the ethernet light on my modem never stops now.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a mobileme account with a further 3 names added using mail only. Because of legacy I cannot move to OS Lion at the moment. Can we still use our mac.com/me.com email addresses after June without signing up to icloud. If one or more of the email only account holders update to Lion and icloud, can they transfer their emai accounts without the main account holder doing so. If we all have other apple devices ie iphone and ipads, and sign up to icloud, can we then use our mobile me mail addresses also on our OS Leopard macs.

I am running OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and periodically Mail.App will stop updating my new emails. I am connected to an Exchange 2007 system. When it is not able to update, clicking the "Get Mail" button will not do anything but I am still able to send mail.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAs of yesterday 25th May 2012, Apple mail on my mac stopped receiving new mail. I checked my mail around lunchtime (all ok) then when I got home checked again...nothing! I had however had mail delivered during the afternoon to my Blackberry. I have a .mac and .me email address as well as a pop 3. These have all been set up for ages and I've had no problems. My pop 3 and two mac accounts all have worked wonderfully since I went over from Mobile Me to ICloud. I can still send from all three mail addresses from my mac. When I check my mail on iCloud via the web there are new messages in my inbox. I'm still getting these delivered to my Blackberry, as usual. Also my pop 3 account has started asking me for my password which I enter and save in my Keychain it then asks again. The only time this happens is when there is problem with iCloud, according to the Service Status everything is up and running. I have three macs and it's the same on all three.

I'm using the standard Mail app on my Macbook Pro with Lion OS X. I have 3 Hotmail accounts and at one point had all of them hooked up to the Mail app and receiving e-mails fine. The problem I've had is when trying to send an e-mail or reply to one via the Mail app. Even though I have 3 accounts and have got the 'Send messages from account of selected mailbox' selected in Preferences > Composing, it always used to send from only one of the 3. If I recall correctly it was the second account I had added that it always sent from.Recently I'd decided to try and sort this. I like to use one account for business e-mails and the other 2 for personal so when I recieve a business e-mail I really don't want it replied to from one of my personal e-mails. The simplest idea I had was to remove the 2 personal accounts (under Preferences > Accounts) and use the app purely for my business e-mails. However after removing them I now don't receive any e-mails for those accounts, but after testing a bit with a friend all e-mails are still being sent from an account no longer registered on the app.How can I sort this so I only have 1 account that I can send and recieve from??

I have an app for Windows which connects to my mobile phone via Bluetooth and allows me to send and receive SMS text messages via Windows, via the phone. It's by SmartData (http://www.smartdata.ch) and is called "Mobile Phone Suite" or "Easy Messaging" and comes bundled with some Logitech keyboards & mice.
Is there anything like this for Mac? SmartData say they make it for Mac but I can't find it anywhere. I've tried all the obvious channels like Logitech's support/downloads section, the SmartData website, Download.com etc etc to no avail.
Is there anyway to show contacts when sending a new e mail. Example on windows it will sow all contacts and then click on the ones you want to send to. Is there anyway to do this using Macbook Pro with Lion 10,7.4

If I send a msg from Apple Mail to i.e. Outlook Express. The same msg shows up with "clean" text formating. That will say, no formatting at all. See this screen: [URL:...] I have just gotten back to the Mac now from 10-11 months in hell with Windows-stuf, so I am really eager to get this fixed. In Apple Mail the same message looks this: [URL:...] I dont want to change to Entourage, so excellent if you can help me out with this.
View 8 Replies View RelatedYesterday I tried to send a Quicktime movie that I made with iMovie as an attachment to an email. I knew something was wrong when it kept "sending" for hours. I could not get it to stop, no matter what I tried. I used Force Quit on Mail: no effect on the spinning circles. I shut the computer down and then restarted. Signed into Mail--> still had spinning circles. I took the mailboxes offline and then put them back online: spinning circles remained.
I deleted all of the outgoing messages several times, but whenever I came back, they reappeared. I shut off my computer overnight. This morning the spinning circles are gone, and a static circle remains, and I am unable to send or receive email. What can I do? I have four Mac mail accounts and they all have important information in them. How can I unfreeze my mail? BTW, the gmail accounts that go to the mac account are ok--it is just the "@mac.com" accounts that are frozen. I cannot find this in a search.
How do I send a message with Mail that has a logo in it that I want to show in the body of the message, not as an attachment?

When I got my Mac, I added two email addresses (both Gmail server but different "@ portions" i.e. @gmail.com and @___.org). I've deleted the @___.org email because it didn't matter whether I sent it from one email or the other, they both end up in sent items of mny @___.org email. So even replies from my [URL] address gets sent to the other email.I've deleted the other email and I'm pretty sure I didn't link the two accounts on Gmail so I'm not sure what's happening.Â
