View 8 Repliesno price range, just want a thin (not a bag) sleeve for my notebook so that i can have a little extra protection in a backpack or briefcase.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI see lots of people on these forums with such sweet themes. Many times I ask the person, but I get no response. So, where DOES everyone get their themes from? I'm looking for a sleek modern, darker one.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have looked at a couple of screen protectors for the macbook pro, & wondered if the piece of thin foam that comes with a new macbook pro that fits between the keyboard & screen? could this be used as a screen protector? or would a bought screen protector made by another company be better?

my macbook pro screen has two thin green lines running down the screen from top to bottom. i have run the apple hardware test and it has detected an error. unfortunately i am in a remote village for the next two months and unable to get my macbook to a repair centre. What the thin green lines indicate?, whether the error on the hard drive and the green lines are connected or something different? the lap top seems to be working fine however im concerned that as i cant get to a repair place for the next 2 months whether continued use will damage the computer further?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI shudder to think that we might be getting a bargain from apple, is that possible, or is this ssd: SuperTalent 60GB SSD (Microsata II, 1.8'')

Which costs around 900 euros mind you not dollars, with less than half the capacity, is so much better in terms of performance than the one in the air? Also what's with the specification of a 1.8 ssd drive, are they produced in the same volumes as 2.5" ones? Are they aimed at air type products, i.e. thin and light but come at a premium price?
just the other day I opened my laptop to find a thin green line run from the top of the screen down to the bottom. It's towards the left side. I don't know how it got there, what it is, or anything about it. I've tried restarting my computer, turning it off, etc.

Soon i will be getting a Mac(i think) and was wondering about a case. Since i want a Macbook Pro with the Unibody Housing i want it to be safe. Now i can't decide if i want a case or a Sleeve. Now the Case might have heat issues even with the vents that are on the case. The sleeve won't have that issue but will it be more prone to scratching the Macbook it self? Or should i go no case and just sorta deal with the scratches. There is a Price difference between the Sleeve and the Case. About $20 Cdn more for the Case.

After 1 month there are small thin horizontal lines appear on my macbook pro screen. i never drop or bang or what so ever.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll the screens I have seen have at least a stripe of bleeding on top and some screens have more bleeding on the bottom in addition to that!I just opened my machine today with week5 production and it has a very thin (thinner than others) stripe of bleeding on top and kind of two blobs on the bottom corners. As for the lines (for the curious ones) they are there but this is the best screen I have ever seen since it is way harder to notice them compared to the rest. It is a model 9C90.
Would I return it you might ask, well, I am kind of sick of waiting more for a MBA since this is my second machine since the release of revB so I am kind of 50-50 now on keeping it.BTW, I bought this from Amazon so I was wondering if any of your returned a MBA due to the lines/bleeding issue and got a full refund from them.
Woke up today and my 13" white macbook (purchased last august) has a green line in the right quarter of the screen. bright green and thin. only doesn't show on white. runs the length of the screen - starts at the battery indicator all the way through the bottom.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust received the new 13" macbook air yesterday and today have noticed some very thin horizontal banding lines across the bottom portion of the screen.
Has anyone else noticed this, or check to see if your one has this problem.
It is quite subtle but it makes the icons on the dock look as if they have a card like effect through them.
Easiest to check if you make your screen wallpaper the dark grey colour.
On this the top part of the screen seems consistent, but at the bottom part there is very thin white horizontal lines. I tried updating the software, but it seems to be the same - looks like a faulty display may have to send back, wondering if it could be fixed with a software update.
The strange thing is black and dark colours do not produce the effect it only shows up on greys or medium contrast colours like blue.

They both cost the same and both look like they offer good protection. They also don't look too ugly either. Anyway's if any of you people know. Will either of them scratch my MBP? And which do you think I should get?
Does anyone know of any decent-ish sleeves that would fit the new MBA 11.6" and provide decent levels of protection.... or is it to early for any to be on the market?
See title. What are you using for a case/sleeve?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI travel a lot and I am looking for a sleeve, but I am looking for one that will be TSA friendly. Any recommendations? I am looking
Radtech Sleeve
SF Bag Jacket Suede Sleeve
Those for now...
Any other recommendations you guys have?
I know theres a million threads about sleeves, so all I can say is I looked through many
basically I'm looking for the 13 MBA equivalent of this for the MBP:

Something well padded and somewhat rigid so I could throw it in my backpack or briefcase, with a pocket that could hold small stuff (hdmi cable, iphone cord, earbuds)
anything like that for an air? or would you not be concerned about the extra space in that guy designed for a MBP
i just asked my younger brother today what he might want for xmas, and he was telling me that his 15" pre-unibody macbook pro gets really cold on his drives to and from school (30 minute trip). he said he has a cheap case for it but whenever he gets his mbp out after his drive it won't turn on for a while until it warms up.
he was wondering if i could find some kind of insulated sleeve for his 15".
is that the solution? any recommendations on what brand to get?
I'm pretty sure this has been talked to death but I can't find the answer.
I'm looking for a bare minimum neoprene or otherwise sleeve for my 11.6 MBA.
No second pockets, no carry strap, It doesn't even need to close. I just want to slip it in and then put it in another bag that doesn't have a padded slot.
I am interested in buying a sleeve for my 15" unibody mbp.
I really liked the look of the Neoprene sleeve plus by incase but I can't find any shop that ships in Europe. Have anyone purchased this in Europe?
Also, are there any 15" sleeves with shoulder straps, similar to the incase one that you would recommend?
Something I can put my MBP in while I place it in my backpack. 15-inch MBP
View 22 Replies View RelatedHey guys, I was just wondering what sleeve/case (if any) you use to carry your MBP around? I was looking at the neoprene cases available on the apple website, but from the comments, it seems that the discolouring seemed to be pretty common for these cases.
Any recommendations?
What features are most important to you guys in purchasing a case or sleeve for your MacBook Pro's?
We are currently in the design, development and prototyping stages or creating sleeves specifically for the MacBook Pro line and what to know what exactly it is that you guys, as consumers are looking for.
One thing we're looking to do, is NOT utilize a zipper - or metal of any type. As users ourselves, we've experience scratched cases first hand, not traveling that route.
We're looking to launch, using some fantastic full-grain leathers that we've been fortunate enough to source given our vast experience in the footwear & apparel materials industry. I think you'd find the quality to equal that of some "designer" hand bag companies - with the added costs.
So.......lets have it.....what do you guys like.....and just as important - what do you not like?
I was thinking of purchasing a sleeve and/ or cover for my macbook pro. So far I have found these on Ebay:
