View 1 RepliesI have scanned a bunch of recipes to my Macbook Pro and they all went to the Preview. The only problem is I can't copy or paste the recipes because, I guess, they are not in document form. Is there any way to change the recipes in Preview to a document? Or what would be the best way to scan recipes? I need to be able to copy and paste.Â

I am having a problem when attempting to forward email messages in Mail. If the message has jpeg photos I can view, but when forwarding the jpeg is deleted and the message "missing plug-in" appears in its place. How or where to correct this problem and have not seen similar discussions posted.

I'm using OS 10.4.11. When I email PDFs, they are automatically converted to JPGs unless I create an "archive" of them, in which case lots of people can't open them, including Mac and PC users. As a sometime graphic artist, this is a real concern. On my old iMac using OS 9, I never had this problem.
View 24 Replies View RelatedMy emails, at least as I see them before I send them, have a picture of me in the upper right hand corner. I want to get rid of it. I have looked everywhere in Mail, etc.
When I attach a PDF or JPEG file to an email, the resolution of that file is automatically reduced. What do I need to do to keep the resolution?

how to embed an image with a link, or embed a Microsoft Word document with a hyperlink built within the document -- not as an attachment into my email -- but where it shows as the email content when opened! Does ANYONE know the secret? Can it be done, or not? My PC clients do it all the time easily. Then I want to be able to send the embedded image/document (not as an attachment, but visable within the email when opened) to many email contacts at once, BUT the individuals receiving them DO NOT SEE the other email contacts.

I scanned some documents with my printer/scanner and don't want to have to rescan every time. I made them too big, they are 20+ megs, and I know with JPEGs one can just "flatten" the file. Can that be done with scanned docs too? If so, how? Do I need a special app for that? I have Preview and iPhoto, plus the MS Office package for the Mac.

MacBook Pro - I scanned in photos and they entered into the computer in tif file. I tried several different ways to convert them to jpg. I finally read that if I transferred them into iPhoto they would automatically go into jpg form. I went to use them for the website I am making and they still can't be transferred so I am assuming that they are still in tif format.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI know the factory setting on a macbook pro have the delete key going backward. Somehow my macbook pro has the delete key going forward. I think my daughter hit fn/delete by accident. I want the delete key to go backwards to the left. I tried system preference - keyboard- restore default but that didn't work. And hitting control h everytime I make a typo is taking way too long. How do I get it back so the delete backspaces?
