Planning on Purchasing one of the New Aluminum MacBook Pro's. I would like to know what are the best ways to have your battery last longer and hold the normal charge? Also on the Battery Section on [URL] it says it not good to have your computer charging all the time but then people on the forums say it's better to keep it plugged in! What is it? What should I do? Listen to Forum users or Apple). Also what is a good setting for the Screen Lightiness? Is HalfWay see able? What about 75 percent notches. Will lowering the battery brightness save battery?

Got a maxed out 24" iMac on the way (3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive) which will be arriving in 2 weeks. Just wondering if there is anything I can do to optimize performance and pro-long life on my iMac ready for hardcore music recording and editing, HD Video Editing, Photoshop, Web Design and Flash? Would it be wise to run every single process included in the Onyx application as soon as set up is complete or should I wait till Applications and Music have been installed? Anything else to do to maximize performance and life of the iMac?

I've found that clicking on the green '+' button in the upper left hand corner of a window does not appear to have the same effect as on a PC. On the PC, doing so causes that window to go to full screen. On the Mac, it appears to only increase the window to some size larger than the current size, but does not go 'full screen'.

I noticed that Aperture 3 is priced really, REALLY low on the Mac App Store. So I made the decision to buy it. But... I already have Aperture 2 installed. So what happens when I buy Aperture 3? Does it recognize that I have Aperture 2 installed, and upgrade it, or will it install Aperture 3 alongside Aperture 2?

Every once in a while all applications that are open will stutter when I minimize or maximize them. I can't really explain it other then the fact that the animation in not smooth. When I restart the computer everything goes back to normal and is smooth. I notice this happening after I install or update a program. This usually occurs right after I see the color wheel spinning.

I have RightZoom, so when I click Maximize it always fills the whole screen. I hide my Dock unless I mouse over it, and my windows won't maximize over the bottom 5 pixels of the screen. I drag the bottom right corner of the window, and it doesn't make it any bigger.

I was wondering if anyone knew an app compatible with 10.6.2, which can give me the capabilities of what Windows does with program windows, where if you maximize the window, it locks it so it can't move around the screen.
I think something like this: [URL] But I'm not entirely sure.
I only want this mainly for Firefox and the likes of full screen applications (Mail aswell),

Just got an iMac.
Is there anyway to move the Close, Maximize and Minimize buttons to the right of every window?
Can that annoying right-bottom tip corner used to sizing windows be replaced with stretch arrows like in Windows?

When I am scouring the finder for files, I find it difficult not to see a thumb of each file folder and have to fiddle with the choices at the top. Is there a way to have maximum visibility of the contents of finder? Or Is there an application that works better than finder?

Anyone currently using Aperture on the 2.4MBP? I went to the Apple store yesterday to scope out the performance but all they had on display were the 2.6mp models. It ran great on those machines, but wonder what the performance is like on the base model.

Does anyone know how to synch Aperture libraries. That is have the same aperture libraries on an iMac and MacBook. My Aperture on the macbook is 1.5 and the machine is running 10.4.11 and the iMac 24" is running 10.6 with Aperture 2. I originally exported the library from the macbook and inserted into the library folder of the iMac. This library was then upgraded automatically to be compatible with Aperture 2. But now... how can I synch from one to the other, and vice-versa. Or am I expecting too much?
