Mac Mini :: Does It Support The HP Deskjet 1220C Printer Via USB
May 18, 2012
Does the Mac Mini support the HP Deskjet 1220C printer via USB? I've connected the printer but it doesn't seem to recognise it. Tried adding Printer but the Mac Mini does 'see' the printer.
I have a HP Deskjet 722C printer, and I'm trying to get it set up with my macbook. Unfortunately, the only driver I can find on the HP site is for windows. Is there anyway to make it work?
I currently have the Lion OS X working on my MacBook Pro and a HP Deskjet F4180 and I can't print in color. What changes do I need to make to enable this feature
Info: MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), Printer worked fine on Snow Leopard
I have a problem with finding the right software for my MacBook Pro. I've contacted Hp customer care for the software needed but they sent me the v l0.6 link, and the update was not successful because my MacBook version was not supported "As I thought". And somehow I can't find the printer software online.
message: Incompatible printer. The Connected printer cannot be used. The Canon LBP3100 is connected via USB and registered on the system detailsI have installed the latest driver from canon.
I just purchased a Dell 1355cnw printer and want to set it up for scanning over the network. I get a We do not support 10.7" rant. I have tried to configure it thru the Dell Printer Configuration Web Tool but not entirely certain as to what information needs to go under each option(See attached image)
I are disagreeing over the new MAC Mini and the two video cable connections on the back. He said it will support dual monitors and I said it is just a different type of connection for one monitor.
I am unable to download the Windows support software for my mac mini. It is currently updated to 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and the Boot Camp is at 3.0.4. When trying to download the software I am met with this error. Is this a known issue? I have searched the discussion board but it seems no one has answered this problem. I am tryign to download this for business purposes as we have multiple mac mini's at my job location.
I'm currently using the previous generation Mac Mini as my HTPC, and I use a combination of VGA (w/ an adapter) and optical out to feed my A/V receiver. It works great, but it would be even better to use HDMI for better cable management, my receiver's on-screen display and HDCP support (for iTunes "HD" TV shows). I tried using a Monoprice HDMI adapter, and it worked, except that MacOS only allows me to enable/disable overscan completely and didn't let me tweak the amount of overscan. Couldn't get SwitchResX to work with my Samsung LCD TV after many tries. Didn't want to use JustScan either since my DirectTV receiver doesn't work well with it (and didn't want to enable/disable JustScan depending on my source). So, does anyone know if the new Mac Mini supports fine-tuning of overscan?
I currently use a first-generation Mac mini with Snow Leopard and would like to upgrade to a second-generation Mac mini with Lion. I have many PICT images on my hard drive that I created with Color It! and am using as textures in Poser 7. Will I still be able to use PICt images in Lion, or will I have to convert them to PNG or JPEG?
Mac Mini starts up at a grey screen and requests you set up guest wifi. from there you can open a safari browser but nothing else and no icons top or bottom?
Why do I get the "We're sorry but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar"? It pops up every time I open Safari. I have installed Lion but it is still there?
I would like to connect my Imac to my home entertainment system.I have the late 2009 21.5" model. If I get a mini display port to HDMI adapter will that run both audio and video for me or do I have to run seperate audio?
the device is not even recognized by my MacBook Pro!!!
i don't know what to do anymore, i have installed the updated software and i never even see the device pop up. it's weird cuz it works well on my pc, and it's recognized on my sister's acer laptop but can't install.
the only solution i cld see is that the usb cable is a bit rusty?
I'm new to Macs, but have used iPad & iPhone for years now.Recently I got a new Macbook Air for myself, and a Mac Mini for my kids.I have a great Canon Multifunction printer (MF4150 I think), but it is USB only (No Wireless / No Ethernet) and is wired directly to my WinPC's USB port. So, I'm in the market for a COMPLETELY wireless printer. It does NOT need to be a multifunction device.I've perfectly happy with laser only, or with a printer that is economical with the black ink.It must be easy to setup on the Mac, my Windows PC, and my iOS devices.I'm not a novice with techie stuff, but am still very new to Macs.I can take some complexity, but whatever I buy I want to have good instructions, or very easy setup.Needs are fairly basic: Primarily document printing in B&W.If I get a color printer, it would only be used for color occasionally.
It's simple, I want to print wirelessly via bluetooth, no USB dongles!
I have the HP Bluetooth card inserted into the printer so there's no problem with that. Everything was setup smoothly but for some reason, the two won't connect.
The devices were recognized and setup, then I went to pair them and they wouldn't connect. Suddenly they did connect for about 30 seconds (I could see the Bluetooth sign with the three dots in the middle, indicating that a device was paired; and yes I made sure all other Bluetooth devices were disconnected to avoid any confusion)
Before upgrading from 10.5.8 to 10.6.1, the printer could work. After upgrading, the printer kept pausing when I send print jobs. I am unable to resume the printer and keeps toggling back to pause.
Initially, I had my WinXP computer share the printer with my Mac; it was connected to the PC, and through the wireless network, I would print off of my Mac. It used the hpijs driver. Everything worked fine. After the PC died, I decided that, until I get a new printer, I would use direct USB connection when I would need to print. However, after trying to add the printer from the Print and Fax tab, the printer spits out garbage.
I tried the Gutenprint 5.2.5 driver for HP DeskJet 810C, and after having absolutely no luck with that, I went to check what driver I used to use when my printer was being shared, as it was printing properly back then.
The result with the hpijs driver? Same garbage! It works fine when I use my Boot Camp, so it must be a driver problem with Mac OS X. I then tried the Generic PCL Laser Printer and the Generic PostScript Printer, but with the same results.
What's going on? Why is nothing working on my Mac? It seems to works on the Windows computers in the house. I'm using the same cable. Any ideas as to what is causing this? Maybe it's a bug with the recent update...?
In case it's of any use, I have Mac OS X 10.6.3 with a 2.8 GHz processor and 4GB of RAM.
I have an HP Deskjet 5650 and though I am using genuine HP cartridges, I keep getting error messages that the cartridges are not compatible. I cannot seem to find the files to delete and do a clean install.
I have QOOK hub and hp deskjet d1660. I want to use my printer in wireless network via QOOK hub. I connected usb cable between the printer and hub. How can I set it up?
Info: MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
I have a hp deskjet f4280 and when I am trying to scan from my MacBook Pro Mid 2010 (MacBookPro7,1) the scanner and image capture app froze... I was observing the issue carefully and I think it is due a problem with the "HPscanner.app" When it is working on the preview it freezes and state at 99.8% of use of the processor.... The problem is only in this computer. I have another mac, MacBookPro8,2 and it scans properly and without any problem.
I have an Epsom PX-V630 printer (a Japanese model) which comes with two types of connecting cable - one the standard USB and the other a scuzzi type with about 40 pins. The cable plug is labelled USB Printer Converter by-Direction. I can physically connect the printer to my Mac Mini (running Leopard) with this cable, but I get a "communication error" message when I try to print. Is it possible to use this port with Leopard so my wife can connect her PC (running Vista) to the printer's USB port? We were able to network the printer this way when I was running an older Mac with system 9.2.
