I've contacted Hp customer care for the software needed but they sent me the v l0.6 link, and the update was not successful because my MacBook version was not supported "As I thought". Jun 28, 2014I have recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks and am now having problem with my hp 4500 office jet printer. The print icon tends to stay on the dock after the print job is done and then mess up the print queue. Even worse if I forget to cancel it manually then when I put the computer on 'sleep' the printer starts up again and the whole job is rerun unless I get to cancel it quickly on the printer!
It does not always do this (the print icon disappearing as it should do), but for 90% of the time it does.

Mar 27, 2012I've tried everything, and cannot get my 7400 Xerox Phaser to print any Adobe document. I'm using CS5. I've downloaded drivers, driver updates, driver patches. I've reinstalled the Adobe programs. I do get a "communications error" on some other programs, but they still print. I used to get this message with the Adobe programs, but they were still printing until yesterday. Xerox says it's a "Mac thing." Adobe's site is absolutely with no support?

Apr 10, 2012The website where I pay bills online has a hot link that says "print" and when I click on it, the printout is in a teeny tiny font.
The document that I print after paying each bill is the confirmation of the payment transaction. But it's almost too small to be read without a magnifying glass.
I can't find where or how to increase the font size of the printout. Firefox preferences doesn't include any sort of font size preference to choose from; and my printer application in Settings doesn't list font sizes to choose from or to set as my default size.
PageSetup allows me to choose a paper size, but not a font size.
My computer is an iMac G5; MAC OSX 10.6.8 My printer is a Canon MX850

Aug 27, 2014I have mavericks OS X and created a new user due to problems with my older user account. move all of my files over to the new user without any problems. However now when I am on my new user and I go to make any changes to these old files it requires my password any time I make a change. I have checked the document information and it has my new user listed with read and write permission and my older user is no longer listed and the document is not locked according to the get info screen. Is there a way to turn off this feature of requiring a password to edit the document or a reason why it is requiring me to input a password each time?

I've used the FaceTime camera to scan my signature, saved it and I can see it when I click on Tools > Annotate > Signature. I can't add it to my document though. I've read that I need Preview to Show Edit Toolbar but this option is greyed out. The Edit button on the toolbar is also greyed out. I created the document in Word.

Sep 7, 2014I upgrade my iCloud to iCloud Drive when I used the Yosemite . Yesterday, I reinstall Mavericks and then iCloud is not working anymore. I can't see iCloud in Pages , Numbers, Sketch 3 , etc. I can't access any iCloud Data anymore and I can't work at home now.

Sep 10, 2014This has been happening on and off for ages, from half a year to a year. I have been trying to open a document for 4 hours now, it opens it and then freezes, i then have to force quit it and start over again. Some times i have left it for a while others i quit it after it stops responding. It is getting ridiculous now, i have also searched for ages on the internet, some problems are unrelated some seem related but the fixes don't work, I need to get word to stop doing this.
I thought maybe it was because it keeps opening all my previous documents that I had open, i unchecked the box so it doesn't reopen windows and it still freezes but on this document instead. I do not have a clue what to do and I urgently need access to these documents, the documents aren't damaged, i was working on them before, and had this problem with many other documents that also weren't damaged. What should I do?
