i am getting lots of emails per day, but most of them are Facebook notifications and Twitter stuff, Is there any way I can Filter those Facebook emails so they show up in a different folder than my Inbox? Also it would be great to do it directly in Gmail so my iPhone does the same
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery now and again I get a message from Mail.app saying asking me to enter my gmail password as the login using the saved password failed. I then enter my password ( the same one that is saved ) and it works. However, I've noticed that some of the emails in my gmail account are not downloaded to mail.app, so I have to go to gmail.com to check that I have not missed any emails, which makes mail.app pretty pointless.
Also, I can't use outgoing server, as it never sends my emails. I have never had these gmail problems with Thunderbird before, using the same account settings.

I started using Outlook for Mac 2011 when I purchased my new MacBook Pro last year. I have found it to be a royal pain. I've decided to switch from Outlook to Gmail. Can I export my Outlook contacts and tasks directly to Gmail or do I need to do something with my Address Book (or is there some other way)?Â

I just set up my Mac Mail. But it is transferring over 3000 of my old messages, that I don't really want to have. How can I just begin getting new emails, without having to receive all of the old ones? Is that possible? Can someone tell me how to do this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI couldn't find any similar thread, so here we go. I recently lost all my mails, and therefore tried to use a recovery program without any luck. I suddenly remembered that I had all my mails on my iPhone which somehow was synchronized with my MacBook. So, to my question: Is there any way I can transfer my mails on the iPhone over to my Mail.app on my MacBook?I hope you'll be able to answer my question since the mails are quite important.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI followed the automatic steps for setting up my Outlook 2011 for mac with my gmail account. It started downloading every single email I've had since 2006. 35,000 emails are now loaded on my new mac--not necessary at all. And I don't want the extra (gmail) inbox in Outlook. Is there a way to just have the "on my computer" folders and not the added gmail folders? The whole point of saving email on gmail is so I don't have to keep them all on my computer.

I have been looking for a way to transfer outlook to entourage but all i get is some wierd method which is never really clear. I tried searching the mroogle forums but it was all a bit old.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI ask for forgiveness since now if I'm posting something that already exists and I couldn't find, but I wasn't able to find any helpful resource to fix my problem.
I've always used Mail and I like it. I have three addresses, one of the provider, the other two belongs to my personal domain. They've always worked fine.
Since two months they suddenly stopped to send e-mails. The error says there's a problem with smtp server. I tried to change smtp settings, I've edited mail settings, tried to set up another account and tried to download another app for mail: always the same problem. My mother, that has a mac too and an e-mail account with our provider, doesn't have any problem. So I tried to copy those settings on my MacBook Pro.. nothing.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAs a precursor to my question perhaps I ought to admit that I don't yet have my old and less-old iMacs 'talking' to one another. (The former is of the translucent, coloured-bodied type and the latter an iMac G4.) Do please be aware that I'm not technical in the least. (My pen-name is no accident.) Could some kind soul tell me where I may find a jargon-free, step-by-step guide to transferring OE e-mails in OS 9 to Entourage in OS X 10.4.11

I buy the new iMac with i7 and I'm running a migration using the assistant from MacBook Pro to the new one. I have my doubt in how to grab all the messages I have in my mails in this migration. I have like 2000 mails from several years that I store in the mail of my MacBook. I can't imagine if the Migration assistant just pass my documents and won't grab my flagged mails in the MacBook Pro . The migration didn't still runnig so I'm not sure what is going to be after all end. By the way I do this with a USB connection frim one to the other. Is any body know about my inquirie of the mails?

I have a user who just switched from Mac Mail to Outlook 2011. Getting a strange issue when sending to users on Outlook 2010 PC.
When sending a message, users on Outlook 2011 and people viewing the message via web mail can see the message fine. It reports that it's a digitally signed message (just one sentence), and the certificates look fine. Via the web, the message appears fine. It says:
"This message has a digital signature. The digital signature could not be validated because the S/MIME control is not available." However, it comes up fine.
However, users on Outlook for PC (my version is 2010), cannot read it. I first get a preview pane error "This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to read its contents." And when I double-click on the message, I get a pop up window "Your Digital ID name cannot be found by the underlying security system."
Anyone can provide clues why other Outlook MAC users and via the web the message can be read, but just not PC Outlook users for now?
I will be switching from Outlook 2007 to Office for Mac Outlook 2011 for my business email/calendar/contacts. I am pleased with Outlook 2007, but despise my PC otherwise. I will be using Microsoft Exchange as my email server. My concerns: Calendar Syncing, Accessing Archived PST files, Transitioning current mail folders.
I have a couple questions regarding this switch:
- Will Office for Mac Outlook 2011 accommodate by business needs and offer a comparable application as Office 2007 (PC version)?
- What roadblocks or issues should I be aware of when making this switch?
