Looking for a multifunction printer that will work with my iMac. I currently have an HP Photosmart 309a, but it is a few years old and I have had fits getting it to work with my iMac.
I'm in need of a new multifunction printer. I'd like it to have Wi-Fi, duplex printing, and a document feeder, but if I can get a wi-fi one really inexpensive, I might be able to do without those luxuries.
I don't need anything with awesome photo capabilities, but would like the wi-fi so I can put it where I want it, not near my MacBook or my router.
I'm looking at HPs (I've used them for the past 10 years), Epson, or Canon. I'm assuming most of them are going to be compatible with Mac OS X, but just would like everyone's input on which model I should get. HP has one for $170, and that's really pushing the high end of my budget, just so y'all know what I'm looking at.
I've set a wireless network and connected my multifunction printer in an AirPort Express. I can access it from my computer to print, but the scanner utility doesn't recognise it. What could be wrong?
I need to buy a new multifunction inkjet printer working with Snow Leopard, which is a good suggestion not the expensive ones, just for home use with good features.
I'm trying decide between a Canon or Brother color laser multifunction printer. Quite honestly we don't do a lot of color printing, but I'm so tired of clogged inkjets (can you say Epson) that I'm trying to stay clear of them. A multifunction inkjet would seem appropriate for our situation, but I don't want to have clean printheads once a month. Even if we do get a mutlfunctional laser I still need a a small photoprinter for quick photos prints. My other option is a multifunctional inkjet and then a B&W laser printer. I'm down to Canon and Brother based on the fact both seem to work well with Macs and don't have the bloated software that comes with HP. I can't find any reviews on the Canon lasers since they are relatively new. The Brother machines seem to get good reviews, but quite a few complain about the color prints.
I have an imac and network printers. The i mac does not reconize any of my printers. They show in my systems preferences but when I hit print nothing happens. The printer icon does not pop up in my docks. The only thing I can print on my epson which is my default printer is a test page
I am thinking about buying an apple iMac but do I need to buy a apple printer to be able to print things or will I be able to use my normal canon printer with this computer?
I need help connecting a PC printer (HP laserjet 4100 series PCL) on XP to to my imac.My printer is shared wirelessly to every other computer in my house, but as for this mac I can't seem to locate it. I tried that CUPS, but it can't locate it.
Info: iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3), 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
I need to find a good scanner / printer for an Intel MAC for my COO, laser if possible but not necessary. I'm more interested in something that has scanning software or can be used by Adobe Acrobat to scan PDF's etc. Something that won't need all kinds of third party to actually use the scanner.
Suddenly our two iMacs won't print to our laser printer. It says it can't find server? Not sure what to do. At one point it said to restart router. We have an iMac8,1 and a newer iMac purchased last year. It's odd to just suddently stop working.
My printer, an HP Officejet 8500A, has reset itself at 66% and everything printed comes oout too small. how do I change the default setting back to 100%? I can do this via the drop down print box but I'd like to make it a permanent fix.
I bought this IMac yesterday and it worked fine till I connected my HP printer. Once the printer was connected and I restarted my machine its not turning on. I removed my printer and tried to switch it on. After that it never turned on.
I am trying to add a Dell 1350 laser printer to my list of printers. When I try to add it, i am unable to find an appropriate file for "Print Using:" option. If I choose Autoselect, is states that Software for this printr isn't available from Apple. I downloaded the driver from Dell and installed it, but nothing shows in the Select Printer Software list in the Print Using drop-down.Â
I can't get printer to setup on iMac with Leopard. It shows up on the add printer list in Print & Fax, but after clicking the +/- button and I see it in the list but the Add button is grayed out.
I have an HP Photosmart and have endless problems with scanning to my iMac and printing from it.While there is some HP software to support the Mac, there's far more for Windows. Is there a wireless printer that will work better with my iMac?
I have installed my HP designJet 500+ printer on to my iMac g5, which opperates OS 10.3.9 and I have no problems printing directly. However, I am trying to print to the same printer using my intel based iMac opperating OS 10.6.8 but I can't seem to 'see' the printer on the network.Â
I have made sure that the share printers button is checked on both computers and I have no problem establishing a netwok between the two computers (via ethernet).Â
Although the designjet is market as both shared and default printer on the G5, it doesn't actually appear in the shared printers list on the computer.
I need help locating Rosetta so my new Okilaser B431d will work. The DVD, which came with my new computer, is back in Nebraksa and I'm in Colorado for the summer. I found where is says if I can access the Internet (and I can) to click on Rosetta and I will be taken to where I can do just that. Except that the word Rosetta is not a link to anywhere.I have an Intel based IMac running OS X 10.7.4?
Info: iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4)
Every update that installs reports preblems with a series of lexmark and hp printer drivers. Most refer to "kext" can't be used. I have only one printer installed, an Epson model. How do I properly remove these problem drivers without creating more problems on the next install?
Info:iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.4), 2010 version 8 GB memory
I changed the ip of my printer to 192.168.1.3 because I have a new router and that seems to be the range. I can ping that IP. When I choose that printer the printer setup says socket://192.168.1.105/?bidi which is my old IP. Not sure where I change that.
My Intel based Mac Desktop ceased communicating with my wireless printer. All hardware is plugged in, on and hooked up with router and modem correctly. I have the latest version of OS X Lion 10.7.4. I uninstalled the Lexmark printer driver and re downloaded the driver under Apple downloads. I used the wizard to successfully initialize it. When I look under system preferences/hardware/print & scan it says no printers available. What else do I need to do to add the printer?
I can not print from my iMac because I have not been able to install my printer to it. i follow all the required steps and my iMac does not discover my lexmark printer which is already connected to my wifi. I already restarted the printer along with the iMac and still it does not discover it.Â
