I am having so many problems since I downloaded it. My iTunes won't connect to my Apple TV, the mouse continually stops working, iPhoto crashes all the time, and everything is so much slower! I can't stand it! Why hasn't Apple put out a fix?

I'm yet to figure out a pattern, but my Macbook Pro's keyboard will just stop working for several minutes at a time at random points in time...Even if I hit caps or num lock, they don't turn green. Sometimes it'll just happen once every few hours, but I was in class the other day and it would work for a minute, then not work for a few, than work for another minute, etc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy macbook pro keyboard and my silver Apple bluetooth keyboard (primary keyboard) randomly stop working in Finder can anyone explain? Heres the details:
I usually use my wireless keyboard, and when this happens the keyboard keeps working with everything else, and only stops working in Finder i.e. I can't edit the names of files or even click through files with the arrow keys. (the Macbook Pro keyboard also stops working-only in Finder-during these times too as I just tested..)
Also, Finder keeps working its not frozen or anything, I can click around in it with the mouse and open files/apps, etc.
This has only happened approximately 3 or 4 times (I've had the keyboard since the new ones were released and the computer for 1.5 yrs)
Lastly, when I restart the OS (10.4.11) the problem disappears for a week or more..
I have some strange problem after updating my MacBookPro4,1 to 10.5.7. After a while (can be a few hours) the trackpad and keyboard stop working. When I then put the MBP to sleep and wake it up, both work again but only for about maybe 5-10 minutes. This can be reproduced (put to sleep, works for 5min, put to sleep, works for 5min, etc.) When I reboot it works again for some hours.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that my keyboard will randomly stop working after switching Spaces or using other shortcut keys. When I hit the CMD-arrow key to switch spaces, the Spaces box that shows which space you just moved to stays on the screen and the keyboard completely stops working. A logout of required.
Running 10.6.2 with all updates applied.
The last few days my keyboard and mouse have stopped functioning at random times on my macbook. I am running snow leopard. I have to shut the lid to put it to sleep and wake it up to get it to respond.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have an obscure brand USB keyboard that I am trying to use with my Mac Mini, with one problem: after the Mini goes to sleep and wakes up again, the keyboard doesn't work. The solution is to either unplug and replug the keyboard or restart, but both are I think unnecessary hassles.
What I like even more is that the keyboard will wake the Mini (by pressing the spacebar or something), but won't work after that.
I also tried a plain ol' Apple keyboard, which works just fine after sleeping/waking.
Any ideas on what's going wrong, or how to fix it without replugging/restarting? It's just a keyboard, so I don't see why it should pose as any real problem after waking, so buying a new keyboard is not quite what I am looking for. I may end up doing it anyways (a wireless one to go with the wireless MX1000 I am using) but at the moment I don't want to spend money for a new keyboard.
It's a 1.66GHz Core Duo, 512MB RAM, 60GB HD, OS X 10.4.10.
I have been having a problem where randomly after switching a space the little graphic that pops up to show which space you're switching to gets stuck on screen, though you are still able to switch spaces. Also, the keyboard ceases to work as well. The only fix I've found is fast user switching to the login window and back to my account. I'm not able to trigger the problem, and it definitely doesn't happen everytime I switch spaces, but its been happening multiple times per day and is a pretty big nuisance. Also unrelated question: In my itunes using column view whenever I select an artist it snaps back to the top of the list, though still selecting the artist. Its a weird bug, anyone else having this happen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new iMac a month ago. Often, the keyboard just stops working and the computer has to be restarted for the keyboard to work again. Another problem: Unless I plug my printer in with a USB, the Mac does not pick it up. The printer is a fairly new HP Officejet J5780.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Apple Wireless Keyboard is haunted. It will randomly, in the middle of sentences, or sometimes after I haven't used in a few minutes, stop responding.
The really weird part? I open System Prefs, click Bluetooth, and viola! It works again. I don't have to do anything - just open the Bluetooth prefs. As soon as I do, everything I've typed since it went dead (usually just a word or two) is actually output into the search box in Systems Prefs.
There is no rhyme or reason to this weirdness. Sometimes it will literally happen a few times an hour for days (which drives me up the wall); sometimes it'll go months without doing it. When it's doing it a lot, no amount of rebooting/relogging-in fixes it. One thing I have not tried is using a fresh user account (or Guest), because it's so unpredictable... even on my own account it will take a break and work normally for a few hours, then go right back to freaking out.
The fact that it stores everything I type when it's "not working" is the really weird part. It's like the OS is receiving the data but just forgetting to process it until I poke it and remind it, "you have stuff coming in via Bluetooth, wake up and do something with it!"
I got a brand new Macbook Air the other week. I noticed that sometimes, after folding the computer (with the OS running), then unfolding it - the keyboard and trackpad are not responding at the login screen. Actually if I press the keyboard it lights up properly but there is no access to the system. The only thing that works is the power button, so every time I have to power down the computer, then back on again.

On a day-to-day basis I run: Adobe PS, INDD, and AI, Microsoft Entourage, Firefox and iTunes. Just recently, after an upgrade to Leopard, I added Things and Simplify Media to the list. The problem that happens before (on Tiger) and now (on Leopard) is command+tab switching stops functioning and Expose hot corners and shortcuts stop working.
I'm pretty sure this isn't a Finder crash because before, on Tiger, I could quit+restart Firefox and everything would be back to normal. Almost as if some shortcut had causes the system to act differently or there was some app dissonance?
But now, with Leopard, nothing I quit will cause these two features to act properly until I do a restart. Both features (command+tab switching and expose) are very necessary for my work flow. I have checked SysPref to make sure keyboard shortcuts are default and Univeral Access to make sure assisted devices is turned off.
The last 2 days I have had the left mouse button on any Device on my MBP stop working. Tried SMC reset and it seems to work but them it happens again sporadically requiring a shutdown and I assume another SMC reset. Â

i've been having some problems with my 27" iMac (2011). I was playing a game (Diablo 3), when suddenly there was a kernel panic, so I had restart my computer. I started the game again, and there was another panic. After that, every time I login everything works great for 5 minutes, then the screen goes black, and it just stays there, nothing happens. I've tried restarting the computer many times, but it just keeps crashing.

I've noticed that occasionally my IR sensor stops working, and no longer responds to changing the volume, skipping the track in iTunes, etc. It can be resolved by going into Security prefs, disabling and re-enabling the IR sensor. This is annoying, however, and I'm wondering if it's a known issue that might be fixed.
I noticed that when you disable and re-enable the IR sensor, the last few remote button pushes you made while it was broken come through in a burst.
Our screen is all white and fan runs continually.

If the mail application is close, iCloud mail goes offline, although my other email accounts in the mail app do NOT go offline. When I open the mail app, there is a symbol next to the iCloud account (but not next to the others) that looks like a circle with a horizontal zig-zag. When I click on that symbol I get the following message: "This account (iCloud) appears to be offline due to a network problem." If I click the button in the dialogue box that says, "Take all accounts online,", then my iCloud mail comes in right away. However, all my other mail accounts already are delivered. It is not a network or connection problem.

In trying to send an oversized video via email (exceeded 25 MG) size limit, I got an error message. I thought I deleted the email. However, whenever email is open, the message continually gets recovered, blocking any email from being recieved. I am able to create and send emails. Internet checks out ok. Using AOL.iMap. It seems that I am not able to interrupt the continual attempts to send the original email.

In an attempt to improve the mac's performance I performed all of the actions described in the following article: 11 Ways to Optimize your Mac's Performance url... ). Basically, I cleaned up files and 'other' system preferences. Things seemed to be fine and the computer did run much better. However, after running Monolingual and deleting what I understood to be 'unnecessary' PowerPC files the standard USB keyboard is no longer working.I've tried to search for various remedies, but have come to a dead end. So I'm left with reinstalling the Snow Leopard OS (I think it is 10.6.8?) BUT I can't because it is asking to input the account password (which I know) to make the change and I can't figure how to do that when the keyboard not working.
