The startup disk on my black plastic MacBook is getting full. I know there is plenty of junk to delete but I don't know how to get an overview of where the junk is so that I can delete chunks of unneccessary data instead of chipping away at my photo library, etc.Â

trying to down load music and it keeps saying the startup disk is full
View 1 Replies View RelatedBought this iMac not quite a year ago. I had very few files - some pictures and music mostly. Tried to update ANYTHING and kept receiving "start up disk is almost full". Burned pictures to disc and deleted them. Also, accidentally deleted all music as well. I am still receiving the error message. I called Apple and removing media files was their suggestion as well. I have no idea what to do next - I have no "tech savvy" Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74)

I have a new Leopard Mac Mini that I was hoping to be able to use to run 10.3.9 and 10.4.11 systems off my external.
I made sure to format the external (with 2 partitions) as GUID before I copied the older OS's onto it. But when I go to choose one as start up disk, the Mini won't give me either of them as an option.
Is this a basic conflict between old OS and new Intel architecture, or is there hope for me?

Is there a way to delete all the artwork from iTunes and start over again? I keep getting the wrong album artwork for many of my songs. Even if I delete it individually, it comes back. I was thinking, if I delete it all, turn off iCloud and syncing, download all new artwork, then reload iCloud, I might finally be able to have the correct artwork.Â
It seems one piece of artwork shows up on almost half my songs. It's really annoying. With 1000's of songs, it would take forever to do each individually (and even if I did, I think that one piece of artwork would show up when I synced with iCloud.Â
Is there a way to change the delete button to delete to the right instead of to the left? I always have to reposition the cursor to delete what I want!Â

Our 2011 iMac with SSD takes 2:15 (two minutes and fifteen seconds) to start up. Start up on a SSD should be faster. OS X version 10.7.4 and applications are on the SSD. Any suggestions for correcting this lack of speedy start up?
