View 1 Replies View RelatedBought this iMac not quite a year ago. I had very few files - some pictures and music mostly. Tried to update ANYTHING and kept receiving "start up disk is almost full". Burned pictures to disc and deleted them. Also, accidentally deleted all music as well. I am still receiving the error message. I called Apple and removing media files was their suggestion as well. I have a new Leopard Mac Mini that I was hoping to be able to use to run 10.3.9 and 10.4.11 systems off my external.
I made sure to format the external (with 2 partitions) as GUID before I copied the older OS's onto it. But when I go to choose one as start up disk, the Mini won't give me either of them as an option.
Is this a basic conflict between old OS and new Intel architecture, or is there hope for me?
my iphone won't sync to my computer because allegedly because my start up disk is full even though I've emptied the trash & deleted large files.

I have installed Windows XP, Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.5.7 and ubuntu all on my mac mini. At the moment it automatically boots into machintosh unless I hold down the "option" key and select a diffrent volume from the boot menu. What I would like to do is instead of booting straight into mac os x id like it to open the boot menu first so I can select the Volume and OS.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm finding it slightly annoying that in Safari 5.0, whenever I hit CMD+T to open a new tab, my cursor automatically starts in the google search box on the web page, and not in the address bar. Not only that, but I can't simply hit SHIFT-TAB to go backwards to the address bar.
I'm a designer, so I'm constantly using shortcuts, not only in my design programs, but also in Safari, iTunes, etc. It would be nice to see a fix for this, so I can keep my hands on the keyboard, and off of my mouse.
I don't like that Safari starts the last page that I was on everytime I run the application. How can I change this so that my default homepage is opened everytime instead?
