May 25, 2012I am looking to hook up my 2007 Macbook Pro (2.4 Ghz 15 Inch Screen) to my sony bravia 32 inch TV. Seeing how this particular model of macbook pro, although very hardy and has lasted me through now, the screen at the bottom is cracked and will probably at some point snap (annoying...). Â
Anyway! Just a note to start, I no longer have my original display adapter that came with my computer, it was lost at some point in the move out of my parents house and I do not remember what the hook up is. I purchased an SVGA moniter cable from radio shack since I can hook that up to my TV. I then went to the PX here on base and purchased a mini display port to VGA adapter for my computer, but alas I do not have this hook up on my computer (although the vga adapter end works, obviously).Â
This is what I'm assuming I need...can I get this to vga adapter?Â

OS X :: Lexmark E322 Snow Leapord Hookup
Oct 31, 2009Just recently updated my OS to snow leopard. Problem is I can no longer print to my Lexmark E322 via Ethernet directly from my computer. I don't have an external router and never had a problem printing directly from my iMac or from other computers to my printer. I did install the recent printer driver from the Lexmark site but no luck I've contacted them twice, both times helpful, but unfortunately I still can't print. I desperately need to print something soon as I have already wasted so much time on getting this thing going... lost sleep over this as I need to do a presentation on PAPER Maybe I shouldn't have upgraded my system to 10.6? My Lexmark has never failed me in the past... and I'm in no position to go out and buy another printer at this time.

May 1, 2009I usually have no problems hooking my Xbox up to XBL wirelessly to the interent, but I recently moved and now it wont connect to XBL. It shows the SSID but when put the passphrase in it begins to connect and then it says there is a problem. it says it is "connected" but there is no IP. All the setting as are put to Automatic.
I have tried shutting the router off and my Xbox and I even tried connecting an ethernet cable to my MBP and Xbox. I got an IP when I did this but it still didnt connect. so that's one problem. Another problem is that I dont know how to share my MBP with my Xbox...Like I said, I have the wireless adapter thing but maybe I have been going about all of this wrong.
MacBook :: Handy Play / Pause Button For Itunes But Affects VLC As Well?
Aug 26, 2009I love using the play/pause button on my macbook when used with itunes, it's handy as ****. But the problem is, that it affects VLC as well, and it plays a video and the audio interrupts whatever music I'm listening to (even when no video is opened but vlc is running, it'll open my last played video and play that alongside the music). I never had this problem with the old version of vlc, but ever since updating, vlc has now been wired to work with the friggen play/pause button.
I tried looking in VLC preferences to see if it could be disabled but couldn't find anything regarding the mac play/pause keyboard button. Any ideas on how I can stop vlc from being affected by this key? And I'm not keen on the idea of going back to the older version unless it's my only option.

Jun 17, 2012I have a new iMac which I'm attempting to connect to my Sony KDL-46S5100 LCD Television via HDMI. The TV will not recognize the computer. I have confirmed that my adapter and cable work by testing the connections on a MacBook Pro - that worked fine. However, when I plug the adapter into my iMac the TV says "no signal" and the iMac does not recognize the TV. I went to the Apple store earlier and they were able to get the computer to connect to their TV with no problem.

Apr 26, 2012I have downloaded the appropriate software and connected the camera to the iMac via the supplied USB cable. The camera icon does not appear on the desktop and the camera gives a message "USB Mode Connecting... Check connected device" To me this is meaningless. How do I download my photos and my movies to iPhoto '11 and iMovie '11? This is a new camera and I'm very disappointed in it, as my previous Sony camera was a delight to use and download from.

I have the Sony wireless / LAN adaptor (UWA-BR100) which enable me to connect my TV to my modem/router (D-Link DSL-2730B). Â However, I do not want to stream movies, music or pictures from my computer to my TV. I want to use the TV as computer screen. I have not found a way to wirelessly link my iMac to the Sony Bravia magic trick?

Jun 23, 2012I use a mini display port to HDMI to get the video and i use audio Y cable splitter for the audio.i can get video but not sound. If i disconnect the HDMI cable from the T.V. then i can get sound. If the HDMI cable and the audio cables are connected at the same time i can get video but no sound. I called Sony and according to them there is no setting on the T.V. that would help. My theory is that it's some kind of setting in the imac that prevents it from sending audio and video to the tv at the same time. Unfortunately i have not been able to figure it out.Â
