May 30, 2012When I switched to ICloud I thought my Apple ID and password would work for Apple store. It turns out they have a different Apple ID at the Apple store with a diferent password that I do not remember. HOw can I make the ICloud Apple ID and password work for all other platforms?

May 22, 2012for over a month I have been unable to use search in email on the icloud. If I search for ANYTHING at all, eventually it comes back saying it can not download emails. The email list is blank. Then, even after deleting the search criterai, I can see no emails whatsoever anywhere, not in Sent, not in Trash, and not in Inbound. The only way I can see emails again is to log out and log back in again. Email on the icloud has been like going back 10 yrs in functionality. It has been painfully slow and I see the Can not Load message frequently. All of this is while using my Macbook Pro.

OS X Mavericks :: ICloud Email Will Not Work Properly On Mac
Nov 30, 2014I have set up my email on my new Mac (it is iCloud email set up in the usual way using my apple ID) and the mailbox is running so slowly, it takes 10 minutes to recognise an incoming email, even if I click get email (retrieve mail is set to 'automatic'). My iPhone and my iPad ping with a new email straight away and I have to sit and wait for it to show up on the Mac. The same email account on other devices is fine.
Even worse - when I delete emails they disappear but then show up again in the inbox straight away, nothing happens I can hit delete 5 times and it just sits there doing nothing.
I have tried removing the account from the Mac and re adding it, I've tried rebuilding the mailbox, I have tried updating the OS, I have had the apple support look at it with remote viewing and they advised I reinstall the OS which I did and so far nothing has fixed this issue.
I have had to use my iPad to go through all my emails and delete old ones in the hope that it will speed my mailbox up but its made no difference, for some reason it just will not work on the Mac.

So, first I'll describe what I want to do, then my understanding of how to do it, and then ask my questions. I want to keep my mac.com email functionality for my primary account, my aliases, and my email-only accounts—all of which use mac.com addresses.For now, I don't care about contacts, calendars, bookmarks, or any other syncing except mail server syncing with my SeaMonkey mail client on multiple Snow Leopard Macs.I can't install Lion (yet) on all of my Snow Leopard computers. I have some software compatibility issues that have yet to be resolved, and one machine (Macbook Pro Core Duo) isn't compatible with Lion at all.I have several IMAP and POP mail accounts that forward to my primary mac.com address, and I would like that to continue. It's my understanding that I can log into my MobileMe account, select the "Not all devices meet requirements" option, agree to the iCloud Terms of Service, and then click the Move to iCloud button to use Apple's mail services with iCloud after MobileMe ends. Here are my questions:Will the move to iCloud work as described?Do I need to claim I have Lion installed on all devices? (I don't.)Will all of my existing mac.com email-only accounts and aliases continue to work after I move to iCloud? So when I switch over to iCoud, is there any work-around for this so that I can continue to use the desktop mail app on my iMac or otherwise get mail on my desktop, and keep my mail, calendars and contacts synced between my iMac, iPad and iPhone?

Example: Transmission (bittorrent), will it continue with uploading/downloading when my wife switched to her account?
