Question about Microsoft Office home & student. I did not realize when I purchased this that it did not have outlook. My work email is through outlook. Is there any way to get my work email through my google address without having to purchase an upgrade to Microsoft Office?

With Leopard and Snow Leopard I could sync my Address Book with Google Contacts (in google apps). Now with Lion I can't find a way to sync those contacts. I have an iCloud acount for my personal contacst but our company uses Google Apps for sharing the contacts

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to setup mail on Lion Sever (7.3). The only way I can get it to accept incoming mail is to specify the whole FQDN of the server in the address. For example the domain name is example.com and I have a user set up called john. Sending mail to john@server.example.com works.
But sending mail to john@example.com (which is what I want) returns an error:
554 554 5.7.1 <john@example.com>: Relay access denied (state 13).
For internal DNS, I have:
example.com - primary zonemail.expample.com - alias server.example.comserver.example.com - 192.168.1.2 [URL] - alias server.example.com MX record [URL]
I see references here to problems in mail on 7.3 but not this specific problem.

I have to edit every new entry and change all the fields from "other" to "work." This appears to happen when I "grab" phone or email info from an email message.

Gmail is my default email client. I'm trying to send an email blast to my groups in address book. When I right click on a group, and click "send to...", none of the email address show up in the TO field, only the name of the Group appears.Previously, I used mac mail and clicking "send to" group would result in all email addresses going right where they're supposed to go.I don't know how I changed the client to Gmail, but if I can't get it to work, I'd like to switch it back.

I'm trying to detect a pattern. I suspect that every time our family buys a new apple product we are hit with advertisements. I recently bought a new iPod Touch. I wonder if this is why the offer from apple to leave me alone fails, over and over.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a white MacBook 2.2 running 10.5.6. I use Google Maps all the time and in the last two days it has stopped working. The initial page loads but then when I search for something at the top it says "Loading" then changes to "Still loading... Slow? Try Basic HTML." I know I could use another map site but I use a webpage that calculates the fastest roundtrip for multiple locations and it uses Google Maps and this is causing that site not to work. It is happening in both Safari and Firefox. I have the newest version of each. Javascript is enabled. I have done every update possible. I have changed my DNS back and forth between the ones from my ISP and some from OpenDNS. There is another macbook on our network identical to mine that is working fine as is a MacBook Pro. I have not been able to get anything done today at work because of this.

I would have about 5 tabs of it open in safari, be listening to music on iTunes, and probably have one or two microsoft office apps open. Would it run well, on both the 1.6 HHD and the 1.8 SSD? The checkmark box for Google syncing becomes unchecked and everything.It was working fine for a while but I recently opened a new Gmail account and have wanted to sync with that one instead. So, in preparation I am attempting to set up my Address Book to sync with my Google Contacts and I am not having any luck. I am running Snow Leopard with full updates. I go into the Address Book preferences and check "Synchronize With Google" and enter in my information. And...nothing happens. I found a thread saying you can force sync by clicking on the sync arrows at the top of the screen and going to sync now. This managed to sync about half of my contacts on the first try. I then tried a second time and it synced another quarter of my contacts, leaving about 30 to go. For the contacts it did sync, this system worked perfectly.
