Dec 27, 2009I just recently (a month ago) bought my first MBP 13" unibody. When I connect it to my TV (Panasonic VIERA G10 Series TC-P46G10 46-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV), the image is bigger than the screen, tried to switch resolutions with no success. The connection is minidisplay port to HDMI.

Then it appears and I can click on diagonal arrows that shrink it to about a quarter of the size vertically. Then I can click out of it by clicking on the red x on the left hand corner.

Aug 29, 2010i have a 13 inch macbook pro, and i want to set the screen size bigger than 1280 * 800, to maybe 1600 * 1200 or something. obviously i cant fit more than 1280 * 800 pixels in the 13 inch MBP screen, but I want it to function as kind of a 'cropped' screen - so i'd have to move my trackpad around the corners of the screen to see more of the desktop. i know it will look like crap and be a bit cumbersome, but i don't really care about that. is there any way to do this?
by the way, i don't NEED the ability to use my trackpad to move around the screen. i don't plan on using my MBP like this permanently, this is just for experimental purposes.

May 9, 2010So I picked up an i5 the other week, and one thing ive noticed is that the black bezel on the i5 makes the screens viewing area look smaller than it really is. Cant figure this one out.....when measured they both have the same viewing area, but the c2d really seems to look bigger.

Jul 24, 2010I have a 24" iMac and when my mom opens up Pages she can see the icons for Inspector and Fonts and everything just fine but she can't see jack ***** on the toolbar below that - the one with the font, justification, etc. options. I can make the Fonts and Inspector icons even bigger but can't do anything with the toolbar below that. Why? And why can't I find anything at all in Settings or on the Apple site about doing that? My mom isn't even a senior - no clue how anyone over 60 could see anything.
I can change the resolution of the whole screen but that's a pretty clunky solution.
It's absolutely tiny. How do I make it bigger?

Jun 15, 2012My MacBook Pro would not boot this morning. Did a safe start and then everything worked except Safari. It quits immediately with a screen filled with letters and numbers. If you click on the Reopen it does the same thing. Tried the utilities / Disk Utility / Repair Disk permissions ... still doesn't work.

When trying to open computer after being in sleep mode, I clicked the mouse to open the password screen, & a blank blue/black screen appeared & the mouse timer( colored circle) appeared, as if to be waiting. It'd be nice if I can combine them into one document (makes for easier printing and management).
But I don't know how to offset the page numbering so that it starts on a certain page as "1" and goes from there. I don't want a page number on my cover page and table of contents, for example.

Sep 26, 2009I cant get some pages - mostly mlb website - to load properly in Safari. The main page of most sites (e.g., [URL]) will load fine, but then when I go to, say, the Schedule page, the content is WAY off the right side of the screen, and there is no scroll bar on the bottom to scroll over. If I then search for a word that I know is on the screen that I cant see (e.g., the), it will find the word and display the page, but still not centered and partly off the right side of the screen. I've searched here thoroughly, turned off pop up blockers, and tried everything, and no luck.

Jun 3, 2004I have a new MacBook (Dec '08) and everything is working fine with one exception. When I type numbers into the calculator app they appear on the screen in slow motion with a nice long pause as each number typed is displayed. On our iMac the calculator app just flies along and has no problem keeping up no matter how fast I enter in numbers. Any ideas where to start on this one? Besides the standard software we have installed Microsoft Office and Handbrake.
