For some reason when i turned my imac on tonight my bluetooth is turned off and my wireless mouse is not recognized so i can't use it to turn my bluetooth back on. Not what do I do?

I was work uns in macbook pro attached to a monitor and keyboard+mouse and suddenly it began to get slow and I noticed the battery icon in 0% but with charging status, after that it turned off and I couldn't turn it on again... I let it charge but the charging bar on the side keeps blinking the first led and do not charge further.
Did I lose my battery? My motherboard is dead? I made the same and the charger light responded as it was normal.

I press control + shift + eject on my new imac, and the screen turns off as promised. However, most of the time, actually, almost every time -- the screen comes back on after a second or two.

I have tried unplugging the battery from the logic board and then plugging it back in, but nothing happens. Checking the battery status and it doesn't seem anything unusual, the LEDs light up from left to right then fade out. When I plug in the charger I get the amber light, then when I press the power button it turns green for a little bit then goes back to amber. No fan or anything. Was wondering what it might be?
Another question, the inside of my mac is kinda dirty, could that have anything to do with it? Like it caused its own form of static electricity?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is a strange issue I have had with my Macbook Pro for a while now. Whenever I am in a situation where I am only using my computer for say, listening to music purposes, I like to turn the brightness all the way down. Whenever I turn the brightness all the way down, however, after a few minutes it will go back up 1 pip of brightness on its own. Once I come into contact with the trackpad, however, it goes back down. Then it will go back up 1 pip on it's own again, and go back down when I touch the trackpad. It continues to do this and it's quite annoying.

We have iMacs and Macbook pros at work but we need to connect to them from home. I am not concerned with getting a VPN connection. That part is taken care of. Problem is I need a client such as a Windows Remote Desktop Connection. Where if I connect to the Mac from home it just allows me to use the session and not take up a lot of bandwidth for screen sharing. People in the office do not need to know what project i'm working on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I turned on my iMac and an access denied symbol show up at the loading screen. After waiting a while, it changed into a folder with an iterrogation in the middle of it and it starts to twinkle. I really don't know whats going on. Yesterday I turned off the iMac as normally and I didn't add/remove any programs or made a change on my settings.

my iMac won't turn on. The day before yesterday happened the same thing, but after a few tries with the power button, it eventually turned on - and all ok yesterday. Both the day before yesterday and today, the general power was turned off for some minutes, but the iMac wasn't running. So now, I've tried to reset the SMC, removing everything attached, but nothing.
At least I can clearly hear the tic tic tic button, probably of the timer, because I set up a schedule to let it turn on at a certain hour. What can I do? It's a white iMac, never had a problem.

Never mind my intentions or motivation, Pro Tools HD 8 isnt qualified for 10.6.8 and was running perfect with 10.6.7 and I need to get back to it or else Im going to fall behind and start losing money on the projects Im working on... Really, what I and everyone else interested need to know is how to do it precisely, without losing any pre-installed data, just like when I updated. I just downloaded 10.6.7 combo update because I only have the 10.6.6 CD.. And Im making data backups and cloning my existing OS to a different drive using CCC, just in case. By the way, the apple article about restoring is useless, seeing how it pertains to Lion now and this involves OSX, and Im not trying to "restore" my system, implying something malfunctioned, plus I never set up time machine.
