Using the wireless keyboard, is there a way to delete to the right as well as to the left?

I need my computer back. No I don't have a wired mouse or keyboard laying around. The mouse isn't registering or moving on the screen. The keyboard was working until I tried turning it off and back on. Now nothing is working.

Bluetooth says my keyboard is paired, configured, and connected (and it works).Keyboard under System Preferences says "no keyboard found" and it continues to search for the keyboard. I have rebooted and also deleted and added the keyboard. Should I be concerned? Does the iMac need service ?

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have been using my wireless keyboard and mouse with no probs until today-installed updates this morning-since I restarted have been unable to use either device-have tried everything Apple suggests to do- re-pairing unsuccessfully; turned everything off and back on-sometimes the Bluetooth says it is connected, othertimes not-but even when it says it is connected the keyboard/mouse don't work; put in new batteries-no go also; bluetooth icon is on.

I have had an iMac since 2010 and everything has been great however recently my batteries needed changing in my wirless keyboard, when i chenged them all of a sudden two rows of letters would not work.all of the function buttons work fine as do the numbers and the line of letters with q,w,e,r,t however the row with a,s,d,f and z,x,c,v do not. (except for the capslock button)They keyboard has not been dropped i simply changed the batteries and they stopped working.I have tried hooking the keyboard up to my macbook pro and the same thing happens.as i am reluctant to drive an hour to my nearest apple store, for them just to tell me its broke and i need to pay £57 for a new one.

I leave my imac on all the time, I have a wireless bluetooth keyboard and sometimes when I hit the keyboard my imac doesn't wake up. Is this an issue that anyone else has delt with? Is it a keyboard issue or a computer issue?

I just bought my 27" iMac. It did not come with any install disks. I have tried everything to reach the Apple Hardware Test. Is it even possible to boot to it with a wireless keyboard? I hate to have to buy a new keyboard just to run one test. I can reach the Recovery HD, but the hardware test isn't there. My wireless keyboard and sync connect when I turn the computer on and then daily it loses the sync after a period of sleep. The only way to reboot the computer is to hold down the power button, which I'm sure can't be good. It seemed to start after a recent upgrade. It had been working fine for 2 years and nothing I am aware of in the environment has changed with the exception of a new iphone.
I have fresh batteries in both latest update installed have no metal objects, wirless phone etc around the computer
I recently bought a 27" iMac that came with a small wirelss keyboard (without the number pad) and a magic mouse. Two questions:
1) Is there a way to lock the F keys on? I use InDesign a lot and I hate that I have to keep holding the "fn" key down to select F2 (which I have set up to change to the selection tool) or any other F key I have set up as a shortcut.
2) Is there a way to slow down the scrolling speed of the finger method of scrolling? Most of the time I just want to scroll a little bit, not an entire page. I used to use my mouse's scroll wheel and set the speed to slow.

I updated iTunes to 11.4. No sooner had I done that, than I lost the connection to my wireless keyboard (Apple). iMac, OSX 10.7.5..I inserted new batteries into the keyboard. That did not work. My Apple Keyboard connected by wire operates just fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUpon 3 fast consecutive caps my keyboard changes layout automatically and there is no way I can change it back other than taking the batteries away and later putting them back. It is really annoying, especially because the backspace changes to forward space and the arrow keys have different functions. The keyboard has new batteries, changing language does not work, OS is 10.6.8 with all updates.

Just purchased a new iMac that came with a wireless keyboard. When I am working on accounting documents, I wish to use a numeric keyboard. The apple numeric keyboard I purchased does not seem to always work when I turn on my computer. It seems to only want to pick up the bluetooth keyboard. I have tried disconnecting the bluetooth keyboard but then it says "no keyboard found" even though I have the numeric keyboard plugged into the USB.
