For three weeks now, the windows on my desktop turn blue and separate when I click on a link or open another window. I had the hard drive replaced; Apple diagnostic found nothing. Accidentally discovered it happened when I used my mouse. Scroll only worked forwards, not back or to the side. Replaced mouse with new, identical model. Still happens. Then I used an old mouse from 2003, no scroll wheel, but it seems to work fine.

I have a Microsoft Intelli Mouse( Link ) and it has 4 buttons. How do I change what the side buttons do? Under System Pred > Keyboard and mouse, the only options are to which side is Primary, and Zoom scrolling. All I want to do is set it so the left and right side buttons go forward and back in explorer, instead of scrolling

When trying to open computer after being in sleep mode, I clicked the mouse to open the password screen, & a blank blue/black screen appeared & the mouse timer( colored circle) appeared, as if to be waiting. I had to unplug the computer to reboot it. This has happened twice in 2 days.

I am working the the text will turn yellow with a dictionary term pop up. If using the track the cursor keeps going or goes to another place on computer. It is worse on internet use. I keep restarting the computer. I have run a full virus scan. I tired using a mouse instead of track pad.
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy track pad suddnly stops working and then after a few hours its starts working again. its like in a week it does not work for some random days for some couple of hours. and then when it starts n its just amazing as if there is no issue. and when it stops working it does things on his own it minimize application, open them and does a lot of things.

I Seem to have a problem recently on my 27" iMac with the razer Naga Gaming Mouse. I installed all drivers from RazerZone. Each time I start my iMac my razer naga doesn't track, all the mouse buttons work but it just doesn't track, its really weird because I have been using this mouse for a month now and never got this problem until I think I started to put my IMac to sleep.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just turned on my new 27" iMac and can't seem to get the mouse to go any faster. I've got it turned up all the way on the tracking speed. This display is huge and I don't like having to pick up the mouse just so I can get to the other side of the screen.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI'd like to be able to hook a mouse up to Macbook Air and have it scroll properly, without breaking the scroll direction on its trackpad (or my magic pad). In other words, I want to disable "Move content in the direction of finger movement when scrolling" for mice, and enable "Scroll direction: natural" for trackpads. These seem to be the same setting, though, as checking/unchecking one has the same effect on the other.
How can I do this, as I'd love to be able to easily switch to a mouse, without having to mentally reverse the direction of the scroll wheel.

Recently I bought a new mouse, I was overexcited and plugged it in, and there was a pop up saying there was a new keyboard but I clicked "Contine" this mouse doesn't work at all now, I thought it doesn't support mac at all! I searched about it on the net, they said that when they got that same pop up, they click "x" at the top left corner, you now, exits the pop up and got to use the mouse immediately. I tried it at my dad's laptop, got the same pop up but instead of clicking continue, I clicked "X" The mouse Works. So now I think this mouse is recognized as a keyboard on mine.

Does anyone own or have used the Wacom Bamboo track pad as an alterative to a Magic Mouse or trackball?I checked out the Magic Mouse and did not like it but could probably get used to it, the Apple keyboard I could never get used to and would keep my old clunky keyboard that I am used to using since forever.
Have been using a Kensington trackball for the last 10 years, not the same one , but it finially gave up the ghost and thought the new mouse could replace it but I don't think so. This Bamboo trackpad does look interesting though but is a little an the large side.[URL]
When I start up my 2010 Macbook Pro now, the fan starts running as soon as the spinning gear appears below the apple logo, the boot up is insanely slow, the mouse doesn't track well with my trackpad movements, and trying to open programs often leads to a non-responsive program with the pinwheel of death spinning for minutes at a time. I try to shut it down (takes approx. 20 min. now) and when the screen goes black, the fan continues full blast. After that I can boot up the computer and it runs normally, but the whole process takes about 50 minutes longer than it should, especially with a relatively new SSD (~ 8 months old).
It loads well enough in safe boot, and I've tried cutting out most of the apps that launch at startup with poor results. I've also tried resetting the SMC with equally poor results.
Here's my Etresoft report as well. etreCheck version: 1.9.15 (52)Report generated August 27, 2014 at 10:51:10 AM MDT Hardware Information: ? MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) (Verified) MacBook Pro - model: MacBookPro7,1 1 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU: 2 cores 4 GB RAM

I have tried the following
- Resetting the pmc.
- Rebooting / shutting down, swapping USB ports.
- Verify HD permissions
- Disabling bluetooth (even tho this is wired usb mouse I've seen people mention this so just before you do!)
- Plugged the mouse into a Windows 7 Machine (sorry its not mine! :-) and YES it works fine!
Also there are no drivers for this 'Imation' wired usb mouse as its plug and play and on the box its states fully supports mac os 10.x brand new.

I am using this wired mighty mouse for the pass 6 months and recently it had a problem regarding on the track ball... the track ball is able to scroll up just like normal... but when scroll down, it is no longer as sensitive as scrolling up...

I'm using an old mighty mouse on at the moment, however, I'm fed up of it being rubbish. The scroll wheel died moments after this things was out of the box. What I'm wondering, will a microsoft mouse work just as well? In terms of sensitivity etc? Does anyone use this set up?
I have this menubar "item" next to apple logo, it highlights blue when I mouse over it, anyone know where does it come from and how do i get rid of it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using a microsoft intellimouse (USB to keyboard) on an iMac (late 2006), OSX 10.5.8
I recently connected my mighty mouse to the keyboard and changed some settings on the middle mouse button. Later I reconnected my microsoft mouse, and tried to change the settings back. Now, everything works as per usual, but my middle mouse click-drag scroll doesn't work
I can scroll by using the wheel up and down just fine, but if I try to click-drag, nothing happens. Is there any way I can fix this?
I got a free microsoft wireless laser mouse 5000 and os x isnt picking it up. i have the receiver plugged in and nothing will register.
View 1 Replies View Related im currently going into high school, and one of the things that you need is a wireless mouse with a usb dongle. Now, i saw something about the microsoft arc mouse somewhere, and decided i wanted to get that.they have it for 32$ on amazon which is a pretty good deal considering its 50 at best buy and 40 at walmart.com
but, when i was looking on best buy's website for the arc mouse, i saw that they had the mx 1100 for 30$, and it looked like one of those fancy looking gaming mouses or whatever
now, i have to choose, so im gonna ask you which one is better.i don't care about batteries.i get mine from costco, and they r super cheap. recharable would just add more hassle because i would most likely be taking from and to school every day so that little space the arc mouse has to store the dongle is defenitly a plus.
or, are there any other good-looking, good preformance mouses for less than 30$?i really don't need the extra programmable buttons, the mouse is just basically so we don't have to use the trackpads on the laptops like maybe for some basic programming or something.
Replaced the batteries in my bluetooth mouse, (microsoft notebook mouse 5000) it blinks red and green as if it is in discoverable mode - computer finds it, but can not pair successfully with the mouse. Microsoft guy says that the drivers in blue tooth are not up to date - i've used this mouse on the computer before.. It doesn' t make sense.

It was working perfect, battery is up, re-connected batteries, etc... is there a hidden option . that screw my mouse ? I really need it back for continuing working on .psd
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using the bluetooth mighty mouse with my mbp and all of a sudden, like literally five minutes ago, the thing just stopped working. The mouse still works in that I can move the mouse around the screen with it, but clicing is not registered/recognized, nor is scrolling of any kind, or things like opening the dash board or expose. I'm kind of confused. Has anyone heard of anthing like this where the mouse can still be used to move around the screen but cannot click or do any other functions? I tried removing it from the blue tooth menu or whatever that's called and then setting it up again, but still no dice. Is there any way to fix this? Is this a problem with the mouse or is there something funky wrong with my computer or blue tooth?

I pair my Logitech MX900 BT mouse using the BT Control Panel applet and it finds the mouse, pops-up "installing drivers" and everything works well. In the "services" tab for the BT device, it shows a general HID mouse/keyboard.
